Avatar n tn I do basic yoga asana (asana means that it is less cardio more posture and stretching) since the beginning of my pregnancy. I will be 35 weeks on Tuesday and it relieve my minor pains (hips, pelvic, lower back, buttocks and thighs). It also help to have a good posture and strengthen your core muscles for birth and baby position. It is great to take that time for you to relax. Sincerely, yoga is a revelation for me.

Avatar f tn I found that some really basic or adapted yoga moves give me tremendous relief. Just check youtube for pregnante yoga for beginners! It takes me 15 min a day and there is certain postures that i do at work to get instant relief.

It's a great distraction and helps to shift me into a calmer and healthier mindset. I can't always get to classes so a lot of times I just do yoga at home with dvd's. There are a couple of great ones for beginners I wanted to recommend.

I do my best to control my stress through exercise (yoga), good sleep habits, and meditation. You have to go with what feels right for you. Take a bath, light some candles, get a massage, whatever you need to feel less anxious.

Avatar f tn Hi, I'm a yoga teacher and 9 weeks pregnant with my first :) Anytime the doctor hears you're doing yoga they say yes, great, keep doing it! But they don't know about certain restrictions. Make sure you tell your instructor that you are in your first trimester. Not every teacher is trained in prenatal but yours may be.

Avatar f tn i am 23 weeks and really havent gained weight however i dont think it is from the yoga i think its just me that im not gaining weight. I have a great instructor and it really helps with the stress and crazness of being pregnant. And its a wonderful bonding experience with your baby. I feel so close to my son. A lot has to do with the yoga intsructor, the way she relaxes the class and she knows just the right positions for pregnant women. I highly recomend it.
4845170 tn?1369102292 I just started my third tri but since I found out I was pregnant I have done stretches as squats nearly every day, as the weather got warmer into my second I began to walk at least 3 times a week n started doing prenatal yoga for beginners but it makes me feel the best...I strongly suggest the yoga its great for repaxing n stretching and for a small amount of strengthening (if that's a word haha) I'm hoping all these things help when labor comes.

I know there are several different kinds of yoga, ranging from what I do, which is slow and deliberate to another type that is very physical. Each kind of yoga has its own name and no, I don't know them all.

It is really bad I am already taking 6 Norco for neuropathy and I can't take anymore.. I mean I can but I don't feel right. Can anyone give me any tricks to relieve pressure on my nerves in that region? I am hoping it isn't labor pains..

I'm now 32+3 weeks and been so stressed because his dad promised to send some money for groceries for him ( he is on their food stamps and gets 674 dollars in disability) well no money has come and we have had to spend so much money on him and skipped two major bills this month to get extra groceries and make sure he had a good birthday.
