4268628 tn?1375041176 So I am 17 weeks now and feeling g physically ill due to stress. Any ideas for stress relief? Most of my go to activities aren't working. Between a creep video taping my daughter (who's 2) while at my in laws and my fil telling me I'm blowing things out of proportion, my husband reverting to whatever his dad says is law, and being the mean evil board member Sharing with 50 members their dues are increasing 3Xs what they're used to.....I'm sick and cramping.
Avatar f tn m now 32+3 weeks and been so stressed because his dad promised to send some money for groceries for him ( he is on their food stamps and gets 674 dollars in disability) well no money has come and we have had to spend so much money on him and skipped two major bills this month to get extra groceries and make sure he had a good birthday. Well today my hubby text me and said his check was almost 300 dollars extra for money his job has owed him since last year!!!

I just need some stress relief techniques i've tried walking, talking to friends but none of its working it just leads to me feeling depressed for some time. Mind you i've picked up on my bad habit of smoking cigarettes but not a whole cig or not that often but it makes me feel like crap so I need something else beside the just breathe technique.

My dad just found out he has a rare cancer, my husband is never home due to work, we are not able to pay all of our bills due to me being out of work for maternity leave... which means we don't have funds to do activities that would relieve stress like a massage or pedicure.

Talking to someone about the stress or situation is helpful and keeping a journal can be enlightening. But------ making sure that these symptoms are related to stress is important and a doctor can help with that. And deciding if it is chemical or situational is something having a doctor help you with would be good. So call your md.
Avatar f tn Are you on any medication? Are you seeing a doctor ? And do you have your latest blood test results (TSH; FT4; FT3)? Sorry - answering questions with questions. But you shouldn't be feelng so awful without a doctor's intervention, and while adjusting the meds take great patience, there is a light at the end of the tunnel when you start feeling better.

Avatar n tn If I do stretches and some yoga in the morning and take a hot shower, do some running I get some relief. If I role a large towel and lie down on it with my spine along, that provides some good relief. Swimming and surfing aggravate the neck a bit. The more I do it, the worse it feels. If I tilt my head to the left trying to touch my ear to my left shoulder, I experience a bit of pain.

Even women who have multiple children still feel stress when becoming pregnant so you don't need to stress more about being abnormal, but most find ways to alleviate it or channel it into an activity. I used that time to vacuum, do laundry or try a new recipe out.

Outside of Colostomy, I know there is no cure, but can taking over the counter drugs like acidolphus bring any relief. Taking Immodium Ad only adds to the problem with severe stomach cramps. I know steroid treatment is out there, but not looking forward to side effect. I'd like to plan an outing, vacation or special event w/o worry of where the next bathroom is, or what might happen if I can't find one.

Avatar f tn Hey our situation is solo much alike except I'm 19 and 20 weeks and also a ftm...what I do is find something I like doing like writing poems and stories and explain to my family and fiance I just want to be alone for a moment and that's what I do I am to myself and doing what I love stress is never good for you or the baby...
Avatar f tn I feel your pain on not telling family members. I used to have a hard time telling my Dad because hes a Catholic, Id cook a huge steak dinner each time. But Id feel better afterward. Im also a total "daddys girl" lol so that may have helped. Anyway! Jumping off the soapbox, I agree that you should tell your family hun.
