Avatar f tn Does anyone have any data on efficacy of triple therapy with an INF dose reduction? I'm looking at you, Will and Hector ;) I've seen the data that demonstrates that a Riba dose reduction does not have a huge impact on SVR rates, but wondered what "they" say about INF dose reduction. Just curious.
Avatar f tn So I've always wanted smaller boobs. I was a 34DD before pregnancy and now I'm a 36E and I'm only 18 weeks so I'm sure they will get even bigger. My question is do your boobs stay bigger, get smaller, or return to their original size after the baby is born and after breast feeding? I'm seriously considering a breast reduction after I'm finished having babies and breast feeding.
Avatar m tn ve developed a side effect recovery theory based on study models and basic biology and was wondering if others experiences come close or differ much. RBC's- hemoglobin recovery took 8 weeks in one study to reach pre treatment levels. In that rib attaches permanently to rbc's with additional lodging in other areas (mainly liver and sex organs) and that an rbc off treatment lifespan is about 90-120 days (down to 65 on tx)....

Avatar m tn Let me explain. It is a theory that doesn't sound to farfetched to me personally. I have a lightly deviated septum and things could be stuck in my nose and when I breath in and out in a closed room people get in contact with these allergens which causes them to sneeze, cough ect. I'm treating it with fysiomer which is a solution for the nose with salt and I must say I'm sneezing and coughing myself now while mucus comes out of my nose.
Avatar f tn Can immense stress/ Anxiety Depression/guilt over a shady sexual act cause your body to release a dormant virus from many year ago. Can you have gotten a bad flu/ EBV many years ago that you didnt even remember, even in childhood. And this virus was released to make you ill again and also active enough to spread to another sex partner by kissing or breath??? Can this re-released virus be what causes real symptoms that resemble ars in people?
1880475 tn?1579232941 Stress and anxiety cause various illnesses to immune deficiency and other things, why do you disqualify your writing? In fact dandruff and hair loss is also associated with prolonged stress, fear causes that, also some factors such as self-insecurity. Halitosis can also be a product of stress and anxiety, in fact all the symptoms mentioned until the alteration of the intestinal flora can also be linked to it.
1011752 tn?1269241519 If you're under a lot of stress with school then that could very likely be the reason you're starting into a manic episode. How long have you been on the 3mg? If it's only been a few days then I would wait about 1-2 weeks to let your body adjust to it. Otherwise I would talk to your doctor and have them bump them up to 10.
Avatar f tn My daughter is tapering off and is following (mostly) the theory of a small reduction of 5-10%, waiting 2-3 weeks (more if needed) to stabilize and then reducing again. It seems that some people have no problems no matter how they get off, some have problems and can only deal with them by very small reductions. Common sense says that the longer you've been on the slower you should go to get off, some say a year of tapering is advisable if you've been on very long.
Avatar f tn I had a myocardial profusion scan awhile back but did not complete the resting part due to very bad reaction to radioactive tracer. It said" there was a reduction in the tracer uptake within the septum proximally and also within the anterior wall in the region of mid ventricle.gated acquisition shows no thickening or motion abnormality.
Avatar n tn Patient #1 had a 95% reduction three days post treatment and 89% reduction seven days post treatment. The initial viral load for patient 1 was 5.3 x 10(5) viral units per ml of blood (IU/ml). Patient 1’s viral load seven days post treatment was 5.7 x 10(4) IU/ml. Patient #2 had a 85% reduction three days post treatment and 50% reduction seven days post treatment. The initial viral load for patient 2 was 9.2 x 10(6) IU/ml. Patient 2’s viral load seven days post treatment was 4.6 x 10(6) IU/ml.
Avatar f tn Okay so I wanna test this theory I have. During my pregnancies with my 2 boys I had abnormal results on my pap smear however after pregnancy they were normal (so it was obviously just a false result due to pregnancy) however with this pregnancy my pap smear results were normal. I don't know the gender for this baby yet but I have a feeling its a girl. So I've decided to test the theory that girls give normal pap smear results and boys give abnormal.
Avatar f tn I have dealt with my thyroid (hypo) for 25 years now and have managed it very well I feel. I have been recently sent to an Endo doctor because my levels went from being in the mid to upper normal range, where I feel the greatest and then suddenly went out of control and went from under active to over active. My doctor (gp) doctor reduced my meds from 125mcg to 75mcg and sent me in a tail spin again to now being under active again.
Avatar m tn Aims Resveratrol, a polyphenol found in a variety of fruits, exerts a wide range of beneficial effects on the endothelium, regulates multiple vasoactive substances and decreases oxidative stress, factors involved in the pathophysiology of portal hypertension. Our study aimed at evaluating the effects of resveratrol on hepatic and systemic hemodynamics, hepatic endothelial dysfunction, and hepatic fibrosis in CCl4 cirrhotic rats.
1318202 tn?1274307827 If so, then calculating the 2 Log reduction is to simply subtract 2. So a 2 Log reduction would be 5.5 which equates to about 300,000 IU/ml. Most genotype 2 or 3 patients are UND (no virus detected) by 12 weeks and discontinuation of treatment is not an issue.
Avatar m tn These tests look at completely different things, so yes. Its alot to break down but basically.. Stress tests look at electricity and wall motion. Ct angiograms look at blood flow. Contrast mri and nuclear medicine looks at perfusion (how well muscles soak up blood). So you can have a 48% reduction in blood flow, resulting in a 68% reduction in pumping action/wall motion and a 20% loss of perfusion all in 1, yes.
Avatar m tn stef, is less than 0.5 Log reduction in hbsag in one month with interferon can be regarded as non responder, and should interferon be stopped in such cases?

Avatar n tn reducing the amount of reaction to stress is usually accomplished by meditation or stress reduction in the individual, but for a pharmeceutical treatment, most doctors turn to SSRI's. These drugs increase the amount of seratonin in the brain, and this reaction has the side effect of making you less emotive and therefore less "stressable." Again....very good question.
410475 tn?1262942367 Personally I would risk 75mg/day reduction while above 150mg/day, but stick to 37.5mg/day reduction for each step down from 150mg/day. When it comes to antidepressants, always get doctor advice before implementing a reduction program. As always, my comments do not constitute doctor's advice --- always see a doctor before changing any medication for stress or depression.
1563026 tn?1295031701 t have any side effects, but 2 months later i started to suffer from insomnia ( trigger was stress and rhodiola rosea IMO), could it be because of low serotonine levels?what would be the best alternative to ssri? i also lack motivation, could it be due to low dopamine induced ny ssri consumption?
