1761442 tn?1313165623 What you (and I) have to remember is smoking causes MORE stress so now you have your major family stress along with the stress of sneaking around. Right? So what you do is just put them down again. Just stop. Maybe talk with your dr about an anti-depressant for a short while. Anything but smoking, honey. You've worked so hard this last year and you don't want to undo all your hard work.
Avatar f tn http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC120016/ Have you seen anything about that? I wonder if it's the expense of it or other flaws in that method that has kept it from being used.

Here in OUR health pages. This is going to be a labor of misery ....er, I mean LOVE. Ha! This is going to take a long time to complete, and of course as there are new journal articles coming out monthly ... NO, I don't even want to *think* about that. Avatar m tn Upon doing some googling on the subject of physiology after cold showers, an article referenced a German study that showed after the initial cold water shock of a single instance, oxidative stress occurs in the body. Only after longer term implementation (months) of the cold water treatment do the immune benefits (increased white blood cells) begin to occur. (https://www.drweil.
988870 tn?1284806804 You're diagnosed with POTS, right? And you also have diabetes? Have you been biopsied for peripheral neuropathy to see if that is a contributing factor in your dysautonomia? What autonomic testing has been done? I'm so sorry to hear you're having such a rough time with the syncope. Is it a neurologist that manages your POTS treatment? What medications are you taking to try to manage the syncope? I'm glad that you've found a supportive primary care doctor!
Avatar f tn Keep a journal and write your thoughts in there and when you close the journal and put it away, visualize putting your stress away too. It goes in the drawer with the journal . . . it doesn't own you. You have to picture it as something you can control and contain. And then you can. wishing you much success and remember, only 5 percent can't conceive in some way. So, you'll have your baby, don't you worry!

Avatar f tn for those interested but without university/hospital library access, talk to your local reference librarian about inter-library options to get access to articles. There are almost always fees for copies of journal articles obtained from other libraries, but costs are generally less than buying the article outright from the journal itself.) http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.
Avatar f tn Ran into an article in the Journal for the American Academy of Family Practitioners published this month, telling doctors that Levothyroxine is the ONLY valid treatment for hypo and to trust the TSH. I called the Academy and was transferred to the editor of the Journal and advised him of the more current articles (that I published here) conducted and published in Europe and now published by the NIH.
