Avatar m tn It is possible to continue to have a stress fracture over months when it is not given due attention and appropriate care. Conservative management of stress fracture should aim at movement restriction and non-weightbearing for atleast 6-8 weeks, while stressful activities should be resumed gradually after 12-16 weeks. The duration of rest would also depend on the severity of the fracture and the healing response. For severe or non-healing fractures, surgery may need to be considered.

The initial goal of treatment is to push the bulging disc back into its original position and then keep it there so the torn connective tissue at the back of the disc can heal. Certain activities push the bulging disc out and others push it back, recovery depends on the balance between the two.

Take care and warm regards.

Avatar n tn If it's possible, check your BG when you have these feelings. Sometimes the symptoms of low BG can be similar to anxiety feelings. I share BL's view that what you describe doesn't sound like neuropathy symptoms I've read or heard about. With reasonable (not perfect) control, it would be unusual for a Type 1 to develop neuropathy so quickly, too.
