Avatar f tn I have been having neck pain on the right side of my neck for the last few weeks that results in a really bad headache in my right temple. The neck pain feels like a big muscle bulge on the right of my neck. There's nothing in particular that seems to be causing it right now. I do a lot of data entry at work, but I have not been particularly busy lately and it does not feel like the same kind of neck pain that I would normally experience.
Avatar f tn not only on one side but my entire head including my back of the neck, throat (everytime i have this headache and i touch my throat i can feel some pain), eyes (when i touch my eyelids there's also pain), and my symptoms other than severe pounding and sharp pain al over my head are watery eyes, neck (back of the neck) pain, feeling weak and nauseous and i noticed that i kept on yawning. i have consulted an opthalmologist for my eyes.
Avatar n tn Brain aneurysms do run in my family. I also am having a very stiff neck. The headaches are not on just one side. They cause pain all over. I have had this extreme headache for days and it will not go away. Has anyone else ever experienced this? Thanks.
Avatar f tn Could be related to stress but sounds like MS to me. I would see a neurologist soon and have some testing done.
2125089 tn?1386343083 I woke up one day with neck stiff. I have a newborn baby, and I thought it was from me falling asleep in a weird position while holding him. A week later I caught a bad cold, drainage horrible, lost my voice. I am breastfeeding so I didn't want to take anything for my cold... it seemed to get better. Now it has been 1 1/2 months since I woke up with the stiff neck.
Avatar m tn Headaches occur because of too much blood flow to the brain, muscular strain in the head, stress, reduced blood flow to the head and they occur when you are ill because of the antibodies and bacteria.
569892 tn?1353896337 This could be a tension headache due to stress. You also complain of pain in the neck. It is quite possible that the cause of pain could be cervical spondilitis or disc protrusion. I would suggest you to continue with the neck massages and exercises. Please take a second opinion with another neurologist.Take care!
Avatar n tn Sitting at the computer for too long and days on end will definitely give you muscular skeletal problems giving your the problems with your neck and shoulders in turn giving you a headache. And glaring at the screen for too long can give you migraines. Make sure you switch off and have a good sleep hygiene (that's what it is called, but what it means is that you have a good regular pattern of what time you go to bed and when you wake.
Avatar f tn It is good to hear that you are feeling better. A headache journal or the headache tracker in this forum will also be very helpful in identifying the possible triggers that you could avoid. If there is no history of trauma and considering your age, it may just be a primary headache. However, if it recurs regularly and other symptoms arise, it is best that you see your doctor for proper evaluation. Take care always.

Avatar f tn Hi...I am not MH, I am just like u ...a member looking for answers to many health questions....I was wondering if u had a MRI of ur brain and cervical spine? Have u ever been in a MVA?...had a fall?...sometimes that can play into what is going on...so can stress. Keep a journal to see if foods , stress or physical activity cause a spike in ur pain....it will help the dr dx u a bit better.
Avatar n tn This type of primary headache is mainly due to stress. Rest, ice packs, avoidance of stress, muscle relaxants and pain medications may help provide relief. If it persists, check with your doctor for proper evaluation. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar f tn I've had a headache since yesterday it hurts like heck...i took Tylenol 3 times yesterday ad it still hasn't went away...now it hurts worst what do i do...
Avatar f tn I never went to the doctor about it, but noticed that when this happens, it is usually when there is an elevated amount of stress in my life. Hope all turns out ok for you. My "burnt areas" was usually on my torso or arms. Eventually it went away! Comes and goes with stress.
11294269 tn?1422402907 First of all, you should figure out why is your head hurting. Is it because of dehydration, sore neck/back muscles, stress, food....? Tylenol is ok but it just gives a temporary relief. Know the cause and you'll get rid of the headache for longer.
Avatar n tn Mostly, this kind of head pain aggravates after turning head and typically occurs in patients with previous neck injuries and in patients with marked arthritis of the upper cervical spine. In addition, this pain exacerbate with prolonged sitting in a stooped posture and when working on a computers for long hours. On the other hand, there are patients who experience similar pain with sinusitis (sinus with infected mucus) and migraine.
Avatar n tn the day after i had swollen lymph-nodes on both sides of my neck (maybe due to me stretching my neck in the 69 position), fluish symptoms, and a mild headache, perhaps it was coincidence that we had the windows open while having sex or due to the sleepless night thinking about catching something from unprotected cunniligus. I am very concerned about the cluster of warts that i saw, she explained to me that it was due to shaving, but i'm still worried that it's some sort of herpes.
Avatar f tn Went online to ask a doctor where I described recent activities but was told it sounded like sinus infection. Next day saw chiropractor again who just gently did range of motion in neck and head and said he had never in 60 years of practice ever seen anything like it. I then went to doc who said probably comes from stress and tension and scheduled CT scan 4 days from now.
Avatar n tn Also if it is stress related would it be safe to have a massage? My neck and back feel really stiff today, so I wondered if I would be ok to go for a massage to see if it relieves some pain.
Avatar f tn Pregnancy was 100% perfect and so was birth. I have severe headaches that will put me in my bedroom for days. I get dizzy spells and pain above my eyes that go to the tear ducts, when I lay down I can hear my heartbeat in my ears but its a "swooshing" sound and I can feel my head throb with every beat. I have not taken migrain medication since I got pregnant in March 2008. I do not take any prescription drugs at this time.
Avatar f tn Hi, in tension headache pain can radiate from the neck, back and eyes. Tension-type headaches account for nearly 90% of all headaches. Epidemological data suggests incidence of 3% for chronic-tension type headache. "Pain is often described as a constant pressure, as if the head were being squeezed in a vise. The pain is frequently bilateral which means it is present on both sides of the head at once. Tension-type headache pain is typically mild to moderate".
Avatar f tn there was no trauma to my head or neck but i was just in pain.
