Just a simple question....i know if one decides to go another round of tx if one relapses, one should switch to the "other" interferon,which for me would be the pegasus...is there a static out there statingthe difference in SVR outcomes between the two in relapsers?...

t anything to do with my thyroid can be caused by having Thyroid Storm and to top it off Thyroid Storm can be caused by having a baby which I did just 8 months ago!

Hey Doc, I had papillary cancer about 6 years ago. I just switched from synthroid to levothyroxine about a week ago, and now I'm itching like crazy! My arms and legs mostly. It's unbelievable. Is their enough of a difference between the two drugs to cause such side affects? Please help! I'm itching up a storm! And switching to levothyroxine is the ONLY thing that I have changed! Thanks!

Wow, that stuff was very nasty for me. Poison! Both of them! Harvoni is a powerful drug, I can tell that in a way that I can't describe but I think even 24 weeks will be easy for me to tolerate. Hats off to everyone who endured an interferon based tx. I had to stop at 26 weeks and I was a complete basket case by then. I took Victelis, Ribavirin & Alpha Peg-interferon. Good riddance to those drugs.

Hello. I am s/p thyroid storm in 2004 which ulitmately burned out my thyroid. After 4 years on Armor thyroid, my MD switched me to synthroid 25 mcg and cytomel 5 mcg 1 bid (tid prn). I am a 50 y.o females who is s/p total hysterectomy for ovarian ca. I take Estratest FS 4 X's week. I am feeling MUCH better with the Synthroid and Cytomel, however, my latest labs have come back as follows: TSH- .
