595141 tn?1239971814 Hi I quit smoking 6 weeks ago. I had smoked for 9 years (yes i was a young starter) When I tried to quit before I found it really difficult coz it felt like I was missing out on something (if that makes sense?) then a friend told me about this book called Allen Carr's Easy Way to Stop Smoking: Be a Happy Non-smoker for the Rest of Your Life. I read it and that really helped me. Its hard to explian but if you read it with an open mind it will work.
Avatar f tn Congratulations :) I was a smoker too, and I smoked for 6-7 years, I tried and tried to stop smoking but I just couldn't do it! I tried everything but nothing seemed to work, then 5 weeks ago I found out I was pregnant! After nearly two years of trying for a baby I was overwhelmed! I still continued to smoke for a couple of days, but only a couple of puffs from my husbands cigarette 2-3 times a day, then I looked online about the effects off smoking whilst pregnant and quit straight away!
1276755 tn?1271017891 My grandmother stop smoking two days ago. She has been experiencing trouble breathing (wheezing), feeling weak throughout her body, frequent urination to the bathroom and cramps in her legs and feet. I would like too know if these symptoms are the affects of the withdrawl process? Please explain each symptom why she is going through this.
Avatar m tn working out will increase ur endorphin production and make u feel better while ur body cleanses itself of narcotics...it can also help u stop smoking cos when u r getting healthy..smoking just doesnt fit in anymore....i used an electric cig to stop smoking..
Avatar n tn I had similar symptom (still have when I smoke) one year ago, went to ENT doctor, checked my throat and ear and found allergy. If I stop smoking for a few days, it goes away, when I smoke it starts again. Doctor said, it could be also from polluted air etc.
Avatar n tn Vaping is WAY worse for you and the baby than cigarettes are. I'm currently trying to quit; have been a pack and a half a day smoker for years and after a week I'm down to 5 or less a day. If it's just too ******* hard and you have to have a cigarette once in awhile. Do it. It's better than putting other chemicals into your body that your system isn't used to. Vapor isn't just "water" and the "nicotine" is a chemical compound designed to mimic it.
Avatar f tn If you stop smoking, that's the best thing you can do. You are young, you've only smoked a couple of cigarettes and you can reverse the effects if you quit. Good for you for being concerned about it! Be tough and stop smoking now!
Avatar m tn Some people hallucinate/become delusional depending on dosage. Marijuana effects everyone differently. Some become completely retarded. Some act like 5 year olds. Some feel it increases their vitality. some feel it makes them smarter, some feel it relaxes them and eases their anxiety. With that being said, from personal experience, I would stay far away from it. Especially if your having panic attacks already. Don't forget it is a fact Marijuana increases your chance of psychosis.
Avatar n tn Who knows? Marijuana brings out what's already inside us, so if this was something waiting to come out, well, it's here. But you could just be suffering a long high; marijuana is very strong these days and sometimes if you smoke a lot the high can last a while.
Avatar f tn i was short tempered and i wanted to smoke so badly..so i googled the effects of smoking on my baby and it terrified me..a baby cnt say no and no matter what anyone says it can effect your baby as it passes through your bloodstream into the baby via the placenta. That was enough to frighten me into not touching one again. Maybe you could research the same. With my first baby i was a selfish 18 yr old with a whole world of troubles and smoked all the way through my pregnancy..
Avatar f tn The person who asked the question ASKED if it would leave any long.term effects on the baby all haley did was answer what effects can happen if u smoke when pregnant i dont think haley was being rude at all in her answer and then @sammy u say she was never truly an addict because she was able to quit when she found out she was pregnant?
Avatar f tn But i been trying to help her stop smoking because i know its not good for her are the baby but she say its not gone hurt the baby. I need help with info to help her stop smoking. I told her it can short the baby growth but we bith are only 25 an this will be both of oUr first child. So i really want the best for her babys health.
Avatar n tn Take this from someone who just stopped smoking up 10x a day. I spent the entire last year of my life baked. I barely graduated because I was so high in class I was just a body in a room. Hell, I don't even remember the graduation ceremony. I stopped smoking 7 weeks ago, and yes life does feel a lot different than it does before. I used to be a straight A student, now I could care less about school. I have absolutely no motivation.
Avatar f tn People where I live were smoking that stuff soooo much for a while. Then they county banned stores from selling it so not so many people are smoking it. There were several teenagers sent to the hospital from smoking it.
Avatar f tn Stop smoking both immediately. Smoking will harm your baby and make them have a low birth weight.
Avatar n tn It is very common. I would stop smoking completely so you can get past that phase quicker. Having 2 a day is prolonging it. Good luck I am on day 15!!
Avatar f tn ve been changing medications, I still have been regularly smoking. I have felt the tremors decrease significantly, but as I increase on the celexa over the next week I fear that the tremors will come back. Does anyone know if marijuana can cause those tremors in Zoloft using patients? Or is it just me?
Avatar m tn At first I had very little side effects - in fact, I felt fantastic and ceased smoking within the first week. Three weeks into the treatment, I became emotionally very unstable, crying for no reason, feelings of worthlessness - almost an induced depression with insomnia, very vivid dreams, severe join pains etc. I coped well with those until I went out one night, had a few drinks and a total blackout followed.
Avatar m tn hi... i'm 17 and i recently started smoking... on daily basis , i smoke 1 or 2 cigarets...NOT more than that....my friends r regular smokers as they smoke almost a pack a day...my concern is that i think i'm too young 2 start smoking as i'm aware of all those "health problems" which i can get later,..... my ques is that should i continue to smoke or should i stop ... (i hav full contol on myself and i'm 100% sure that i'm not addicted)....
