Physical symptoms such as bloating, abdominal cramps, constipation,
swelling or tenderness in the breasts, cyclic
acne, and joint or muscle pain have been associated with menstrual cycle. Hormone change during this time plays an important role and symptoms usually resolve when hormones stabilizes. Over-the-counter pain medications, warm compress and rest may help provide relief. However, if the abdominal pain persists, check with your doctor to rule out other causes.
