After a few months i started taking this probiotic (with 250 billion cfu) then i started to get bloated, felt like the ulcer symptoms came back. I've been like that for 6 months now. I feel like there's too much gas inside me. I don't have excessive burping/flatulence though. I don't feel any pain aside from occasional burning sensation when i'm hungry. stomach is relatively flat in the morning and gradually bloats. Could this be an ulcer, gallstones etc?
I have been avoiding spicy and acidic foods, however, I had something spicy today, and within the same area as the abdominal pain, I felt pain, rawness and burning. This pain and burning also occurs in the same spot with gas, which seems to stay in this area. This has been going on for 6 months. Is this caused by gallstones, ulcer or something else?
Hi, your symptoms could be due to a stomach ulcer. As the symptoms are related to food and they disappear on taking antacids. The ulcers are detected by endoscopy. Medical treatment for healing of ulcer is Proton pump inhibitors like omeprazole for 2 weeks which will reduce acid secretion and heal the ulcer. And eradication of H-pylori infection (an organism found in the bowel) by using antibiotics will promote ulcer healing.
I dont work so i find myself siting on the couch alot watching tv and thats where i notice the discomfort the most, does feel better though when i lay down. I usually get lots of stomach gas(fart) , have heartburn and symptoms of GERD(i take zantac once daily) ,so i am wondering if this feeling has to do with that? but does that explain the burning sensation all the time??? I do smoke about 3 cigarettes a day so anyone would say my symptoms could be from smoking..
It may be gastritis or ulcer, these are actually two stages of the same process. They both usually start wit H. pylori infection, what causes increased acid secretion and leads toward gastritis or ulcer. It can't be said from the outside, if it is ulcer or not - only upper endoscopy would show that. But before this, just go and have breath test for H. pylori. If positive, it is treated with 2 weeks antibiotics. You can continue with omeprazole, but speak with the doctor about it.
About two months ago I started having a burning pain in my upper stomach...pretty high...almost where my rib cages meet. It burned and always felt like I was hungry...I would eat and then within fifteen min. it would feel like i was hungry again. Now within last two weeks... I am having severe pain at times...not nec. burning but pain also. At times it feels like extreme gas, pressure, and bloating. Worse after I eat..but hurts all the time. My bowel habits have changed...
Can anyone tell me what the symptoms of an ulcer are? I mean, like a serious ulcer.
Stomach has been hurting pretty bad for two weeks.
Really bad the past few days.
Throwing up, some blood there.
Can't keep food down.
Don't have any health insurance.

I was diagnosed with a duodenal ulcer, based off of symptoms, about 8 months ago. I completed my antibiotics and have been taking Prilosec since. The pain is slightly better...less intense gnawing pain and my stomach is less tender to the touch. But I'm still having GERD symptoms - burning abdomen, stomach tender to the touch when poked, acid reflux, lump in throat, burning up back of throat, excessive belching and gas..
While I was staying in China, I developed some stomach problems such as trapped gas and stomach pain that would come and go at various times over a few years. I finally had a Gastric Endoscope done and it showed a good sized lump in the lower esophagus and an ulcer in the bottom of my stomach. Since I don't speak Chinese and my GF's English was poor, I didn't get a good explanation; I was supposed to go back in 6 months for another scope.
After exposure, following one week I had a mild fewer and flasky skin on scrotum and a ulcer,end of the week I had fatigue ,night sweat, I drank lot of water,I had rashes, I felt like I am having heart attack.
i have always gas problems and burning stomach and feel that it is tied by a rope.when i sit it presses inside due to which am very uncomfortable and have pain also.excretion is not also normal.all tests has done by me with doctor .i always haveexcretion after eating and feel hungry after that due to which i feel very less energy in me and not able to do more work and feel sleepy.
This initally had good results, but I have evolved into mild constipation and the stomach distress and gas seems to be escalating again. I am taking 300mcg Synthroid, 5mcg Cytomel,daily, vitamins, one HCL and a Digestive enzyme with each meal. I feel pretty good with current thyroid regime, though I do need 10hr of sleep to feel normal, it takes awhile to get going am, and still feel moody. I eat well, lots of veges , cooked and raw, fruit, low meat intake, lots of water.

After a week, I have itchy skin all over my body and ulcers that never cure.
I did go to a doctor for checkup of my ulcer & itchy skin and giving me antibiotics. but still exists.
on week 2, my skin get dry due to itchiness and ulcer and stomach gaseous still there. my armpit is pain
on week 3, I still have itchy skin and ulcer in mouth and tongue. It gets worse on my tongue and the itchy in tonge and throat are there.
Gastric pain is more in the middle, if it was gastric ulcus, it would be worse with acidic food, aspirins. If it was duodenal ulcer, it would be more on the right, and worse on empty stomach and at night. Ulcers often go with heartburn and burping. Antacids would help at least a little in ulcer.
Can you list some additinal symptoms, when they started, any nausea, chenge in bowel habit or stool color...?

Then it just went away. It came back every now and then but for the most part my stomach issues were totally gone. Then about three weeks ago, they all came back- the same exact symptoms I was having. I can't tie it to any food specifically that I could be intolerant to and it never hurts when I wake up- it's always around lunchtime, then it kind of settles down and sometimes starts hurting again after dinner, sometimes not.
