My uncle recently had a heart attack and is now fine, but the meds he is on revealed a stomach ulcer (caused his stomach to bleed as they aggrevated his ulcer) that he was completely unaware of, being that he does not drink and previously had no symptoms. I htink it will probably transpire that he has had this bug.
Anyway, get it checked and take care.
pylori infection have no symptoms and will never develop problems. No single drug cures H. pylori infection. Treatment involves taking several medications for 7 to 14 days. Some of the treatment regimens use a medication called metronidazole (Flagyl) or clarithromycin (Biaxin). These medications can cause a metallic taste in the mouth. lymphogranuloma venereum - again, does this always cause symptoms such as inflammation of the lymph glands and Lymphangitis? and so in the absecne of the symptoms, not to worry?. As I am aware, the lymph nodes get bigger - would be obvious if one had this infection after a year from my last exposure? I had 1g of azithromycin in October as well as 400 mg of cefixime, - would that have cured any of the bacteria which causes lymphogranuloma venereum (i believe it to be clymidia).

Figuring it to be exhaustion I put up with it for a week. When the symptoms persisted I called the doc. His review was a peptic ulcer and prescribed 30mg of Prevacid along with 1g of Amoxil and Biaxin (not sure of amount). Since then, I have nausea in the morning upon waking even after eating and taking the pills. In the afternoon I start to cough and get a taste of mucus or bile.
I am too young to have these problems. Please help or advise anyway you can.
For the last 5 yrs ive had ulcer like symptoms.. Two scopes later, both negative and Im still experiencing extreme pain when my stomach is empty... I had the last scope about a year ago and he did happen to mention that i had excess bile... He had to suction it out before he could even look at my stomach....One of the Drs i work with mentioned dumping syndrome, i have some reflux but its not bad... just extreme pain in my stomach when its empty... Ive been on carafate and prevacid etc..
In reviewing my medical records from my gastroenterologist it seems they keep bouncing between a diagnoses of "non ulcer dyspepsia" and "peptic ulcer disease". The non ulcer dyspepsia is a fancy term for ulcer like stomach pain without an ulcer and no clear cause. Then I occasionally do show up with peptic ulcers, which I thought were from accidentally taking a migraine medication that had aspirin in it...but I've never been checked for the pylori bacteria.
I went back to see him last year and told him about the pain in my stomach and back and he just felt around my stomach and said, your fine. Its anxiety ! He said, stress and anxiety disorders can make things feel ten times worse then they really are, stop worrying. See you next year. I haven't lost any weight in fact I put on about 10lbs. since I last seen him. No my stools aren't dark, in fact they are a light brown. He already told me that was normal.
Not officially diagnosed with gallbladder disease but i would like to know if Bile salt is safe if you chronic liver disease. I did HIDA scan that came back with Gallbladder ejection fraction of 92% with normal being greater than 38%. I've always had stomach issue (H pylori and peptic ulcer all cures for several years).

I infrequently have stomach pain, pop a nexium, and its like a magic bullet. Not only cures the pain, but I have the best dreams and generally well being feeling. I was thinking that the stress of life leads to acid production and that the nexium fixes (tricks) the brain into thinking more positive thoughts or whatever, thereby stopping the cycle of stress and acid production. Anyway, it really works well for me.

History:
Had unprotected intercourse once with my girlfriend 3-4 years ago. Ever since I have been having medical issues for the past while, which I have been ignoring. My symptoms are as follows:
In the beginning i had:
- Frequent urination. Small amounts
- Sometimes Lower abdominal pain. Also random body pains
But now recently (1 years going):
- Vomiting (If i dont get to the washroom soon enough)
- Cloudy & Dark Urine.
It's unusual to have stomach upset and spasms in the stomach area. To be honest, it sounds like your gallbladder.
OKAY....for the hundreth time (: I think I might have an ulcer and I have an upper GI coming up in about a week. I did some blood work and the results came back saying I might be anemic, which I think is possibly coming from the ulcer or h-pylori bacteria, is there anyone who thinks I could be on to something.
VA doc gives me antibiotics and I do better on Tuesday and Wednesday. Today I had a bit more stomach pain than yesterday and felt like I had a mild fever. I am thinking it could be because I ate some white rice, green beans, mac and cheese, and some cajun catfish. One good thing today was that I had my first stool movement since Monday. Looked ok and was different color from the anti-botic Flagila. Was not huge or anything, but hey I will take what I can get right?
I decided to return to the ER , even though they were convinced it was all from an ovarian cyst. I told them my symptoms again and asked if they could please do an abd US since I could not get one done untill mid Nov by my care provider. My gallbladder was septic and had a few stones, but was mainly enlarged and diseased. I was sent to surgery first thing the next day!
