It starts with mild pains and spasms in my middle abdomen and then becomes more and more severe as the evening progresses resulting in severe nausea and vomiting and spasms that feel like contractions every 5 or 10 minutes. When the spasms occur, I become extremely nauseated. They last about 30 seconds and then subside and then return. This usually lasts about 12 hours and I am extremely sick the entire time. The pain radiates into my back when th spasm starts.
Within an hour after eating that, I got nausea again, and vomiting. Took Pepto Bismol, threw it back up. Started to feel very warm, friends said my face was flushed, checked temperature and was 100.1, not extremely high but a slight fever nonetheless. Went to the ER to get checked out. Gave me some fluids, nausea medication, and did some bloodwork. The bloodwork was all good, except a slightly elevated white blood cell of 11.8, which I know can indicate an infection somewhere.
I've been having stomach ache pains for about 6 days or so now, accompanied with diahrrea (yay!!) But I haven't had nausea, vomiting, or fever. So I'm not sure if it's a virus or potentially preterm labor - don't even know if that's even a sign of labor. I'm 29 weeks pregnant with my first baby, so i really have no clue what to expect or make of this. Im sure new moms can relate ;) Has anyone had anything similar to this? Thanks!!!
So last week I was vomiting every 20 mins and I went to the ER after I ended up missing a lot of work. And today I started the vomiting again. But this time I'm getting crazy painful stomach pains. It sometimes it brings tears to my eyes. I'm 11 weeks and it's first pregnancy. My boss says that I can't keep missing work otherwise I will lose my job.
I just finished my two years of tamoxifen and start my arimidex this week. I recently developed severe stomach pains with cramps, diarrhea and what feels like acid indigestion that has lasted for almost a week. Everything I swallow with the exception of water, makes me hurt terribly. We were in Costa Rica when it started so my G.P. thinks it's either a parasite or a staff infection. I wondered if it could be from my chemo and radiation treatments.
I am writing on behalf of my brother that is now 31 yrs old and has been suffering from extreme sharp pains on the right side of his stomach below the rib cage along with nausea and vomiting for the past now close to 6 yrs. About over 1 yr ago he had his gall bladder removed because doctors did the test where they determined it was not functioning properly.
She also has really sharp pains occasionally in her upper stomach. They have done blood test, put a scope down her throat and into her stomach and intestines and run a gastro emptying test. Everything came back normal. Any ideas on any conditions that they could be missing. She has no fever, but the vomiting has been going on for months with no end in sight, even reglan didn't help. If she only drinks boost shakes she still vomits, so I don't think it's diet.
My girlfriend is experiencing intense abdominal pains and is both vomiting and urinating blood. She also feels weak and fatigued and when I asked her to grab some water she was afraid she'd fall on the way. She says there's a lot of blood and it's dark in color. She is also sweating a lot and she's going into deep sleep which I can't wake her up when I usually can (I am talking to her on a web camera though).
I am 13 weeks and still having some nausea but a few weeks ago I had some yougurt (dannon activia) and ended up in the hospital with terrible stomach pains and vomiting. I ate it again today and ended up sick again with those terrible stomach pains. I this an allergy to yogurt...the brand....or just normal pregnancy stuff.
So Im 20 weeks and 5 days. The past two days I have had nausea, vomiting and lose bowel movements. Last night I started having stomach pains and cramping. I went to bed at midnight and awoke 2 hours later with my bed soaked. To me I thought maybe I had an accident, but now I am questioning if the amount was urine or my water breaking. I have had severe discomfort today in my stomach and back. I think I am more terrified of being told that I am in premature labour and baby not making it.
The headaches are like something that I have never felt before in my life. They are really bad. The nausea and vomiting started as soon as I woke up from the gastric bypass surgery and it has been a problem every single day since. However, before my pseudotumor cerebri was diagnosed, I had a lot of nausea and vomiting but it wasn't like it is now. They have checked for ulcers and stricture and ruled it out. My headaches have not gotten any better since the surgery.
It usually does not have to be a lot to quell the nausea. I used to eat herbed olives and beet pickles, LOL. It somehow decreased the nausea. Even now, if I start feeling nauseated, I eat something, nuts or fruit or ryecrisp or something.
You are at about week 10 so you have a ways to go. Today maybe try the soup and crackers or whatever you think. Tomorrow I would call the doc and get a prescription for the nausea.
Over the past 9 months, I’ve been plagued by daily nausea and vomiting. Since January, I’ve had multiple tests and appointments with a GI.
• January: Abnormal Endoscopy—showed stomach polyp and eosinophils (eosinophil account did not meet criteria for Esophagitis diagnosis.
• May: Barium swallow—Normal.
• July: Gastric emptying study—Normal for Gastroparesis; suggestive of possible dumping syndrome (written of by GI).
