Sorry your daughter has been in so much pain. I know with my heartburn it just burns from my stomach up to my throat. Could she have a ulcer? I know when I had one my stomach hurt and it felt like cramping. have you taking her to a family dr? I would start there. And maybe when she is having these pains to have her eat some tums or something that is for heartburn just to see if that helps because those meds also help with ulcer pain.
If not any stomach pain? I think of two things one is an infection if you had a productive cough or sore throat. THe other is perhaps it is bile from the gallbladder or a stomach ulcer something along those lines might fit since you have a lack of appetite as well and constipation. You may be backed up due to the constipation. I would see a GI doctor and have them give you an exam as well as perhaps some scans.

I am curious as to why this keeps happening; what foods are triggers? I had back surgery about 6 1/2 years ago and I have taken a good amount of medication due to the back pain; is it possible there is a problem with my stomach lining? Could it be an ulcer?

Pain by the sternum can be a number of things and from your description, seeing GERD on the list is no surprise. Six weeks is a long time to have a symptom. I think you need to see a doctor. Is it just uncomfortable or painful?
From last few weeks am suffering from mouth burning and ulcer often and often and some stomach pain and nausea sense and vomiting and I have white dry rough patch over my tongue and headache in not continuously but evening time with bad weather and I have bumps over my back and last week I had itchy pink rashes near scrotum and now it become dried with dark patch over it.
Your persisting symptoms of pain, nausea and vomiting could indicate a viral gastroenteritis. The other causes could be jaundice if there is yellowish discoloration of skin, food poisoning if the symptoms occurred shortly after taking food, peptic ulcer disease and sometimes cholecystitis and pancreatitis. Please consult your primary care physician for further evaluation. In the meantime take oral fluids and OTC acetaminophen for the pain. Regards.
The reason stomach acid does not destroy your stomach is because your stomach is lined with mucus membranes. Stomach acid is not like the advertisements that show the acid in a container and a TUMS is added to the container and the acid is neutralized. Your stomach has acid pumps that spew acid whenever food or liquid is added in your stomach. I do not know how many acid pumps there are in a human's stomach, but enough to attack whatever is added to your stomach for digestion purposes.
My son who os 19 yrs old is having stomach pain with vomiting and complains that there is something in his throat for the last 2 wks. He has been to see 2 different Dr. He has been taking something for acid reflex and is on malox and musinex. He is getting no relieve. On 2 different occasions he has been vomiting blood. Hm, stomach pain may be from intense muscular spasm. It could be just from anxiety, but, if you have some of below symptoms, it may be "organic".

I have always had pain in my stomach after a day of drinking. For the past 2 yrs my pain has become worse. Now I only drink 1 to 2 glasses of wine every few days with dinner. I had a ulcer when I was 16yrs old, which has since been cured. Every time that I have 3 or more drinks I react the next day as if I had food poisoning/stomach flu. I have extreme nausea, in addition to diarrea, dizziness, and constant vomiting.
