Avatar n tn In terms of rescue, I use 20mg Domperidone (it makes the stomach empty so that you absorb more of the medication you take with it), along with an normal dose of soluble asparin dissolved in a 'full-fat' fizzy drink. I was so cynical when the specialist told me to try this, I've had every painkiller going and none of them did anything, but this is really good, and worth a try.
Avatar f tn Suggest avoiding coffee and see if the stomach 'tightness' subsides. If no, then it may be the medication. if it is the medication, suggest talking to your MD. Thank you for your question.

974371 tn?1424653129 Well, I was in so much stomach discomfort and pain I finally just took the medication and it helped!! Took another one this morning and so far so good. I just hate taking pills and esp ones I haven't taken before.
Avatar n tn when does the pain occur? my mother in law had similar stomach problems and she eventually found out that she was allergic to gluten/wheat (Celiac's disease). It can cause you to be very sick and have intense stomach pain. But if your blood tests don't show any signs of this than...
Avatar n tn Zofran is a good anti-nausea medication, however, it's very expensive. There are less expensive meds available that may help you just as much. I suggest checking with your doctor and see what he/she suggests.
Avatar f tn I've been at home for nearly a week because of nausea and vomiting. I feel your pain omg. I'm 7 weeks and 5 days today and it seems like it's getting worse. ..I already lost 5 lbs within a week due to not eating so make sure you munch on crackers and ginger ale. My ob is pregnant as well and she's been sick herself but she's been at work so I figure if she can bare it... there's no reason at all I cannot.
Avatar n tn Try sprite. When my morning sickness was really bad the only thing I could drink was sprite. I've heard to let in flatten though because the carbonation could upset your stomach. I was on zofran but my Dr had to switch my medication because it wasn't working well. Ask if you can get something else.
1030383 tn?1338460785 I'm withdrawing from Zyprexa, Abilify, Ativan and sertraline. It's been three weeks and I've had terrible nausea, stomach pain, fatigue, and generally not feeling good. How long will this last? And, any ideas on how to deal with mania since I can't just "knock myself out" like usual? I need to get enough sleep to stay out of the hospital!
2136621 tn?1355121987 Have you ever thought of adding a B vitamin for her for nausea as well? Vitamin B can be really helpful with nausea as the medication gets going. Just a thought to consider. How old is your daughter by the way?? Anyway, I do hope that the medication helps her quickly.
Avatar f tn I also have nausea, dizziness, migraines and stomach pain. My nausea, dizziness and migraines are constant, but the stomach pain is intermittent. I was diagnosed with pots 2 months ago and also take fludrocortisone. I've had the same experience with ineffective nausea mediicne and migraine medicine. Even iv infusions fail to provide me with relief. The only main difference is I had my gall bladder removed in July 08 and remnants and gall stones removed last May.
Avatar f tn My doctor prescriped a nausea medication. I first took Belladonna/Phenobarbitol which not only suppressed the nausea, it speeds up the stomach muscles to move food through to digestion. I had an allergic reaction though, a rash, so he switched me to just a nausea pill. The diet that I was told to follow was anything that is easily digestible. White bread rice, potatoes, pasta, processed foods. Just avoid really "rich" or greasy foods. No redmeat or raw vegetables.
1916673 tn?1420233270 The refusal to eat is often both physical (the build up of toxins) and psychological (the association of food with feeling sick). The answer to this is to provide anti-nausea medication, which will help encourage a dog to start eating again - and in turn, start having enough energy to enjoy life a little more. But, there are so many different anti-nausea medicines, which makes it very confusing to know which one is the best in treating this symptom.
