Ive had this niggling pain in my right side half way up the ribs for a few weeks on and off then 9 days ago it was quite severe. I was admitted to hospital where they said it was gallstones, an ultrasound showed nothing. I came home after one night. My chest xray was clear. The camera into my stomach showed gastritis, ( inflammation of the lining of my stomach). Gp thinks its inflammation of the intercostal muscles but it doesn't hurt when i move, when i eat i get severe pain.
i'm sufeering from pain in right back side of my shoulder to right hand and while sleeping numbness in whole hand i visited phisiotherepist 6 monthback she said there are some nodes in my shoulder area which are made when i use to feed my daugter but after few massage session now again i'm getting pain i feel help less now pls advise what to do
Hi I really need ur help the thing is that on Monday 24th September 2012 I went to GP cause I was in so much pain in my right hand and arm. My GP asked me what I was taking for pain. I said paracetamol when I am in to much pain. She asked my why r u not taking amitriptline which the hospital consultant gave u. I said that I can't cause of the side effects. But my GP still gave me amitriptline to take at night but I am scared to take it cause me and my husband r going to try for a baby soon.
I have had pain in my rib right hand side just below the breast which radiants sometimes around to my back. It is not through an accident and from when it started a few months ago from being on and off, it now seems to be more constant. I am forever pushing on this dull pain and it is really getting me down. If I wake in the night and I have been sleeping on my right hand side, the pain can keep me awake for a while as I have to turn over or lay on my back until it subsides.
My doctor seems to think it may be a stomach ulcer, although she has admitted herself that’s shes not overly sure what’s wrong. I’m now 3 months later and still this pain on my right hand side and under my ribs remains. Just wondering if any of this could be IBS related? It’s not a condition I know too much about.
I tried eating some cheese dip a month ago and woke up in extreme pain on my right side that spread across my stomach, threw up and had to go to the ER. The dr swore it was my gallbladder but all tests (blood, ultrasound and HIDA scan) were normal. I tried eating 1 cookie 2 weeks ago with my egg whites and woke up with the same pain just not as severe but I didn't throw up this time. Now I hurt all day long (right middle side).
i am 33 weeks pregnant and i am experiencing a severe pain in my uper left side of my stomach and its very tender like if yhu rub your hand across it it will hurt an i cant lay on my lsft side at all an it hurts wen i raise up or try and change sides an it even hurts when i sneeze and cough and i hav a bit ov a cold so i hav ben doing alot of that.
I have been experiencing pain in my right side at the bottom of my rib cage for the past several months. The pain gets worse after I eat certain foods, and worse when I am sitting down or lying on the right side. When I am sitting it feels like something is squeezing my rib cage very tightly. The pain sometimes radiates to my back and up to my shoulder blade. When I lay on my back I sometimes feel a squeezing, contracting,sensation. The pain is almost always present it just varies in severity.
i have reflux and ibs but for thepast 2 weeks i have had a problem with the right hand side of my stomach i keep getting gripeing and crippling pain.
My back problems haven't changed. But I have started having tingling in right hand and forearm along with weakness in my hand. Along with if I stand for more than a few minutes my left foot starts tingling. Could anything have changed to cause this? I have DDD, Spondylosis and disc bulge at C5-6. Help please. thank you for anything that you may be able to help me with.
been having pain in lower right side, some days i don't have a problem with it then it will bother me for several days kinda of a dull aching pain and moderate pain sometimes , when i am setting down in chair it will bother me but when i recline back a little its like it takes pressure off and it feels better or when i stand up from setting down its almost like its cramped up like a muscle would be . makes it agravating to even drive when it bothers me,.any suggestions?

From last week ive been getting a really sore pain in my stomach ( the bottom ) on my right hand side, then ive been getting really sore twinges from my left side and right of my stomach, and i feel bubbles inside my stomach bubbling up then maybe bursting? I feel bubbling above my vagina public area and then at the left hand side. I have a sore chest and sore back , i am also bleeding ( periods ) but have never felt like this before, is this normal?
I have pain in my right side about 3 inches from my belly button, this pain goes all the way through to my back. I have had a upper scope and scans to apparently rule out gall bladder issues. Also, tests done for my kidney and liver function everything appears to be working. I have been hospitalized for uncontrolled vomiting. The dr doesn't know why. The scope dr said I have acid reflux stage 2- but I do not have the symtoms. The bateria test was negative.
Right side pain under your ribs can indicate high blood pressure. The pain comes from your liver trying to compensate. I don't know how it works exactly but that's what my doctor said. If you were further along I would say it's just your stomach and uterus pushing into your ribs, but since it's so early in your pregnancy it is likely something else. Good luck!
I developed gall stones during my first pregnancy. I had pain in my upper stomach, right in the center. Mine started later in my pregnancy, so I just thought it was the baby pushing on my ribcage. I ended up having to have my gall bladder removes 2 weeks after giving birth. From what I understand this is very common during pregnancy. Your pain may not be from this, but I just thought I would mention my experience to you. Good luck.
I have had stomach pain just under my ribs on my right side now for several months. The pain has been off and on. I will have it several times a day everyday, then some days I won't have it at all (there has been a few weeks that I haven't had any pain also) I have now been getting the same type of pain (dull, burning) on the left side just below my ribs. And now lately I have had a lot of bloating (gas pain) in my lower abdomen. Could this be symptoms of an ulcer (or ulcers)?
The heart burn and acid reflux was back, the stomache pain was almost unbearable. After the Hida scan I had pain in left and right side under my rib cage. Miserable heart burn that nothing helped and extrem nausea to the point that I couldn't eat.
I will go see this specialist. But to be honest, I have had enough. If he doesn't give me a resonable answer, I will stick to my diet and enough will be enough! I am tired of docs. and Hosp. tests ect...
I have has right side pain that started about 6 years ago right under my ribcage about where the gall bladder is. It was constant but pretty local to a small area. Over the years it has grown to all over the upper right side at times. Front to back but mostly on the front. I have noticed also now I burp more and of late seem to get more indigestion. I have seen 3 gastrolgists and had every test you they could recommend except a liver core which the doctors don't want to do.
I have had a colonoscopy / endoscopy and ultrasound (did find 3 cyst on left ovary and 2 golf ball size on right), BUT no explanation or solution to severe pain in my right side. It is in the front and back of my body and to the point I cannot lay on my right side (which I usually sleep on) and is making me miserable. IF I go to the restroom it intensifies for a period and then just eases back into PRESSURE that makes me have nausea.
