stomach pain in ribs

I have a pain in between my ribs that just hurts. Doesnt feel like I have to throw up or use the bathroom just hurts. Also have a bad taste in my mouth. I only get it like once a month... any clues?

I was up all last night in agony I don't know wats wrong I feel like my ribs are being squashed in a vice. I couldn't move for about 3 hours and I woke up this morning n my stomach feels really wierd :-/ baby is very active but it's hurting xx wat could it be?

At 1st I kept thinking there was something wrong with my mattress and eventually flipped it. Then the pain got worse and I grabbed my ribs and realized it was my body and not the bed (I know... a little slow on that one). Now it has gotten so painful that I can't sleep in any position but on my back. I have a little swelling too, but mostly just pain nearly everywhere I touch on my right rib area.

I keep getting a sharp stabbing pain in my left side under my ribs. it only been happening today but now its happening bout every half hour. its making me feel dizzy its that bad. what could it be????

I think I will call my chiropractor to see if its still safe for him to work on me. I know a growing baby can cause pain in the ribs, but maybe you did something that pulled it out of place. Good luck and feel better!

Im 13w1d pg and for the past week i have been having this tightening in my upper stomach. There is no pain at all, it almost feel like soft cramps. Its right under my ribs, it happens mostly on the left but sometimes on the right too. And its happened probably 10 times in the last week and last for about 5-10 seconds each time. It feels like a tightening ball. Does anyone know what this is or if its anything to be concerned about?

I been having on and off severe pain in my stomach under my ribs on the right side it feels like contractions i had when giving birth.they come and go.they leave me short of breathe as well what could it be ? could it be my GERD? it is starting to happen more and more.

Ive had this niggling pain in my right side half way up the ribs for a few weeks on and off then 9 days ago it was quite severe. I was admitted to hospital where they said it was gallstones, an ultrasound showed nothing. I came home after one night. My chest xray was clear. The camera into my stomach showed gastritis, ( inflammation of the lining of my stomach). Gp thinks its inflammation of the intercostal muscles but it doesn't hurt when i move, when i eat i get severe pain.

I don't know about the other women but I did not have high upper ab pain when my ovary was out of whack. I had bloating, constipation and general feeling of yuck but no actual pain with mine. Other women complain of pain down in the lower left or right side, even pain down the leg. Sounds like the ultrasound covered most of the internal organs. Wonder about a hernia which might not show while you're lying down.

So I am 12+1 weeks pregnant and am I have really bad lower stomach pain like 2 or 3 inches below my belly button. I've had gas all day which my gas pains are on my left side 2 inches below my ribs. I'm scared that something is wrong with my baby.

just below ribs can be a liver pain if the pain is on and off.also can be gas if u fell bloated.it all depends of the type of pain and how long persits.try tu push just below u ribs on the liver side and relese fast the presure.after relese if u feel pain its the liver.

I have ongoing pain from when I broke my ribs about a year ago. I usually attribute any torso and back pain to that, but today I'm having a sort of burning sensation in my stomach/rib area. Usually the pain is on my left side where the ribs were broken, but it's more in the middle today. It hurts more when I sit up. I've never had a problem with stomach acid or heartburn. I had a good day about five days ago so I used it to do the dishes and clean up a little.
