Avatar f tn Merry Christmas all! I'm having a bit if a nightmare...could be down to self indulgence and over eating yesterday- although I don't actually think I ate more than usual, but I am suffering with stomach pain. It's like a constant pain around the whole stomach. I think it may be trapped wind and have tried yoga positions, hot water and hot water bottle but no joy! I'm trying to stop myself from overthinking that something could be wrong. Any advice? I'm 21 weeks pregnant.
Avatar f tn today i still feel extremely weak, have nausea, loss of appetite, stomach pain; including pain in my ribs, under my ribs, and lower abdomen. i was thinking the pain is from all the vomiting i did 4 days ago but my ribs are very sore and eating doesnt give me any energy and actually causes my stomach pain to get worse. any advice?

The symptoms that a hangover produces are often in my case mistaken for serious health problems. For example, if i am feeling sick or have a severe headache i relate it too perhaps a brain haemorrhage or stroke, and i find that it plays with my heart too, giving me chest pains and palpitationsHeart palpitations.
Avatar n tn Your symptoms are more that of a ‘hangover’. “A hangover is characterized by the constellation of unpleasant physical and mental symptoms that occur after a bout of heavy alcohol drinking. Physical symptoms of a hangover include fatigue, headache, increased sensitivity to light and sound, redness of the eyes, muscle aches, and thirst. Signs of increased sympathetic nervous system activity can accompany a hangover, including increased systolic blood pressure, rapid heartbeat (i.e.
Avatar n tn For the past few months, every morning when I wake up, I have been waking up with what I can only describe as hangover symptoms. I do not drink at all anymore. I wake up feeling extremely sick, sometimes vomit. The thought of food...ugh. My stomach feels very weak and so I. I feel a bit light headed when standing/walking. Just generally feel rubbish. It seems to go away after a few hours (although it's beginning to start again at night just before bed).
Avatar m tn of course no alchol last night. but achy, headache, sour stomach, dry sour mouth. just in general hung over feeling. anybody else experience this?
Avatar f tn Well, my opinon is different You don't always get the acute appendicitis sometimes it isn't as severe as this persons says. My sister in law her husbands both burst before they knew they had theirs. They had some pain and then went in. It wasn't severe. I had a fever, and nausea and some stomach pain. They took mine out when I was kid. So, I think it does vary and you should check it out. How low is the pain? Way below the belly button but just above the bikini line?
Avatar f tn Why is it when I take a norco, vistril or anything like that before I go to bed at night, I wake up in the morning with a really bad headache.
Avatar n tn So, overall my stomach has not gotten any better and sometimes develops into an achy hangover type pain (sometimes leading to a bloated feeling but not as much since I don’t eat as much as I used to) and upset/nausea feeling.
Avatar n tn Hi Doctor, I am a 25 year old male and for the past 8 months I have been having trouble with my stomach. It started with a bad hangover. I could not hold any food down and I had a lot of discomfort in my stomach for 3 days. After another night out maybe 3 weeks later, the next day I had no appetite so did not eat only drinking water, that evening I got a burning feeling in my stomach just below my ribs. I felt like vomiting, urinating and having a bowel movement all at once.
Avatar m tn I have pain and discomfort on the left side of my stomach area around the bottom of my ribs. It is from my stomach as I have gurgling in that area and it feels like someone is sticking something into my side. I also have billiousness burping and wind as well. At present I also have discomfort in my chest and a very sore stomach. The doctor doesn't say anything about it. I have had my gall bladder removed. Can you give me any idea.
Avatar f tn Im a first time mum so i cant really advise about having other kids but I did suffer from really bad morning sickness my first trimester (I found bananas helped me, but just trying to keep a little of something in your stomach at all times is the key so whatever you can keep down takes the edge off that hangover feeling). I hope you feel better soon.

Avatar m tn Now two days later I still feel very fatigued and still have sharp stomach pain...especially when it is empty. I also have some discomfort in my middle to upper back but that could be unrelated as my job requires me to bend over a lot and my bed isn't the best. Any ideas as to what could have caused this? Could only four beers really aggravate my stomach that much when that's usually nothing for me?
Avatar f tn t know if you are male or female, but I know for me (male) a UTI never caused any stomach pain or cramping. If you are female, it may be different, I dont know. With that said, UTI are usually bacterial based, so an antibiotic is actually warranted in this case (more often than not it isnt. imo). If your stomach cramps are not related to the UTI, the antibiotics may actually make them worse because they are known to cause constipation and/or diarrhea. Either of which can cause cramping.
Avatar m tn t feel ill at all or have any pains whatsoever, I feel perfectly normal this morning (no headache, stomach pain, etc.). Am I alright or should I seek medical attention in regards to the blood?
Avatar f tn I have tried to put some in smoothies and I can stomach that but I cannot eat raw veggies. I find the only thing I can stomach is carbs - or what I like to call hangover food. I never ate fries or barely any carbs. I am worried I am going to pack on the pounds. I want to eat what is good for my baby, but I just can't stomach it right now.
Avatar f tn Hi! I am a 24 y/o female on vacation in Germany. I do have a history of drinking (probably in excess, if we're speaking candidly.) A month ago I had my yearly full bloodwork panel run and the basic liver panel (plus everything else except b12 -- I'm deficient) came back normal. Starting a week ago, I've been drinking very excessively on vacation, including one night where I drank probably 12 beers in four hours. I woke up the next day hungover but altogether fine.
Avatar f tn I'm a college freshman and I consume alcohol regularly on the weekends. This past weekend, I drank more than I usually do. Friday night, I drank half a handle of vodka, tequila shots, and beer. I induced vomiting at the end of the night to make myself feel better. The next morning, my stomach wasn't feeling so great, but I ended up drinking again Saturday night. On Saturday, I didn't have as much to drink as I did on Friday, but I got EXTREMELY sick.
Avatar m tn I was also sick that day, the spewing gave a bit of relief but later on my stomach was more painful again and the headaches were still there. Then we are on to today, I still feel ill, my throat is still very painful and I have an upset stomach. I rarely ever get hangovers, never had one that has lasted 2 days, I m not sure if this is a hangover or an allergy because the symptoms I looked up are pretty similar (except I don t have diarrhea). Does this sound like an allergy??
Avatar n tn Thing is though, I have a general feeling of feeling like shi**t. Much like a hangover-exactly like a hangover come to think of it. I have scoured in the internet and have found feedback ranging from “Run to the ER now” to “Your body is just getting used to the stuff” I have a follow-up apt with my PCP in a couple of weeks and I will bring this up to be sure. Anyone have any thoughts?
