Avatar f tn I think that my digestive system got tight and has problems from the SIBO I had last year that was diagnosed by the mayo clinic. The Mayo Clinic says the SIBO is gone, but has most likely left me with these other problems that I am seeking treatment from the Mayo Clinic right now. Hope these new treatments work for me and hope this information might help you.
582396 tn?1259863489 I am over the moon excited that DH got a 5-10 day appointment at Mayo Clinic - Dec. 10. Anyone have any experiences on what to expect etc?
Avatar m tn Some times I can push on a spot on my back, burp and then feel some relief for a small bit of time, until the pain comes back. I am also regurgitating food. The Mayo Clinic just diagnosed me with Rumination Syndrome. They say it is related to the gas that gets trapped. Told me to do deep breathing exercises to try to relax tense muscles in my stomach that are causing me problems with food and gas that feels trapped in my stomach until I am able to burp.
17213106 tn?1456525991 I used to wake up at 2am with a tight stomach and back pain. Felt like trapped air. Went to Mayo Clinic got an upper endoscopy and Got diagnosed with SIBO. Still have burping after meals and bloating after meals and am checking for other things wrong, but it is greatly reduced got treated for SIBO. Make sure they actually check for SIBO MN Gastro did not check for this and missed it the first time.

Avatar m tn I pray that mayo can help identify why I am sick so often and why I have stomach pain but to be honest I don't expect much since no one else could help me. I woke this morning feeling pretty good and don't know why. made a trip to the bathroom and now I feel sick again or was it the eggs I ate for breakfast trying to digest. I don't know. Thank you Clysta and I hope you have better days in front of you.
Avatar f tn I have recently started having some stomach problems. I started taking prilosec and antacids about 6 days ago. Starting yesterday I became naucious and have lost my appitite.
627388 tn?1222198212 Has anyone from the MS forum ever seek treatment for their MS at the Mayo Clinic? If so, how was your as your experience with physicians from the clinic? I am considering driving up to Mayo at some point if my neurologist in town can't definatively diagnosis me.
Avatar f tn I have just made an appointment for a full work up at the Mayo Clinic, does anyone know the tests involved and how much they charge? Thank you!
Avatar m tn Some here on the board are not real pleased with the Mayo clinic. It seems they have their own set of standards to give out a dx of MS. I personally know nothing about them and wish you the best....hoping for that answer.
Avatar m tn I am now into day 8 of IBS hell and pain. My #1 problem right now is gas. For some reason, my body is now producing massive quantities of gas. This is causing a backup of large gas bubbles in my intestines and colon. I never just get bloating with gas. I get severe pain all over. The pain contanstly moves around hitting me on my sides, across my back and especially on the right side of my back below my shoulder blade.
Avatar m tn Some symptoms include abdominal pain (although over the last 2 days, not as frequent), I pass a lot of gas (probably bloating), Not sure about constipation or diarrhoea (?), need to go toilet sometimes after meals. Is it too soon to presume it's IBS? Any advice? By the way i'm 15 years old.
486038 tn?1300063367 I've not been to the Jacksonville Mayo or the MS clinic in Houston, I'm sorry about that. I have heard a lot of good things about the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas and Dr. Elliot Frohman who works there. I'm sure if you google his name you can find out much more than I can tell you about, here.
553283 tn?1409694311 Cleveland Clinic and Mayo Clinic are obviously both top-flight medical centers, so the choice between the two would not be so much "which is better, Cleveland or Mayo;" it would be which one has a doctor or program that is more specialized to what you need.
Avatar f tn The surgery is not that bad, my stomach did not hurt after it. The only pain was the shoulder tip pain, caused by the gas they pump in the stomach to assist in surgery. I'm still suffering with that pain and seeking help but I would never go back to all the acid vomit nights and pill taking. I hope you look into having the surgery and I am more than happy to give more advice or help .
655875 tn?1295695107 I hope someone will help me in this regards. The pain doctor is all for me going to the Mayo clinic. In fact he was urging me to go. I have an appointment with the pain clinic in August, so if I haven't heard from the Mayo then, I will have the referral sent.
Avatar f tn her gastro is trying to send her to shands hospital to get a pace maker for stomach..i also called the mayo clinic n have app for her in april..have u only taken the reglen..
Avatar f tn Eduardo Benarroch of the Department of Neurology, the Mayo Clinic who can be contacted at, The Department of Neurology, Mayo Clinic 200 First St. SW, Rochester, MN 55905 I wish that I could be of more direct assistance to you but the entirety of what you continue to experience is beyond the level of my expertise.
Avatar f tn Had a spinal fusion @ Mayo Clinic back in 1982 and as of the past 5-6 years have had an issue with numbness, nerve pain down my right leg and into my foot (L4-L5) impingement. It no longer flairs up, since the Gabapentin Rx. I'm on 300mg/3 x/day and it's been a game changer. Best of luck to you. Mayo Clinic figured it out, was @ Cleveland Clinic and UPMC prior, but Mayo Clinic was worth the trip for sure.
Avatar m tn Truthfully, I've heard one of the best MS Clinics in the US is the Mellen Center at Cleveland Clinic. You might try checking out http://www.mscare.org They list all the clinics available, etc. My neuro said the clinic at Cincinatti isn't that great but thinks Cleveland Clinic is really good. I've never heard of the Mayo Clinic being highly rated for MS, but more for heart desease.
Avatar f tn They put me on aciphex and did a gastoscopy , finding just an irritated stomach lining . Ever since then I have had nothing but tons of epigastric pain and into my back . Avatar f tn I'm 9 weeks along and for about a week I've been experiencing severe stomach pain after I eat. I'd compare it to really intense menstrual cramps. I have an appointment with my ob-gyn next week and I visited a walk-in clinic yesterday and the doctor said it was probably digestion related and to eat binding foods. I followed those instructions and am still having pain after every meal, has this happened to anyone else? and if so did you have any tips to stop the pain?
Avatar f tn I decided that I should travel to the United States and hopefully get a diagnosis. I know that Mayo clinic and Cleveland clinic have a good dysautonomia clinics but I don't know which one should I choose so I would appreciate any suggestions !!! Also I know healthcare in the US is so expensive and since I don't have insurance I wonder how much such a visit to one of those hospitals will roughly cost ?I know it's hard to tell but I'm asking for a roughly cost. Thanks.
Avatar f tn t aware that laying on their right side can cause gas to build up in your colon and form a gas bubble. The way the colon is shaped and with the gas rising upward, when laying on the right side it gets trapped in the ascending and transverse sections of the colon and is not as easily expelled as it is when laying on the left side. I recommend trying some OTC treatments like beano, gas X, prilosec, prevacid, Mylanta, mylox etc. for a few days.
Avatar f tn I was recently diagnosed with H. Pylori bacteria. My doctor said it was not contagious but I called my daughters pediatrician nurse and she said its possible. I also found it was on Mayo Clinic. I'm scared of starting my treatment and becoming reinfected. Can someone please give me advice????!!!
Avatar n tn I'm sorry to hear that your brother is having so many problems. I can relate to shoulder problems as I had a shoulder replacement done a little over a year ago. I personally did very well right after the surgery, but have been having increasing problems with pain and limited range of motion in the past couple of months so will be returning to the surgeon who did the surgery to see what he has to say.
