Please help me. My father was diagnosed with NSCLC (adenocarcinoma) in October. His left lung was removed and now he received 4 rounds of chemotherapy. The lymph nodes on the left side of the lung were effected and removed. He is receiving cisplatin and taxotere as his treatment.
His brain scan, abdominal organs all were clear at the time of the diagnosis.
Yesterday he had an abdominal ultrasound (not due to any complaints) which showed a 15 milimeter 'something" in the liver.
She has cried of a short stabbing pain that constantly presses on her intestines and stomach area. When she brought this up to her physicians, they simply gave her more chemotherapy thinking that some of the cancer was not properly removed during the surgery.
However, in a recent examination they discovered that the pains she had been describing were due to both the large and the small intestines melting into a globular organ.
Is it possible to get a rash during or after chemotherapy? I've been on a chemo treatment for 6 months for colon cancer. Have finished treatment 4 weeks ago. Tonight i just noticed a rash on my legs. Could this be from the medicines they used? I believe the meds are called oxaliplatin, leucovorin, and 5 fluoroucracil.
Mastesiess in his liver (large mass) lungs (small dots) and one piece in spine also lymph nodes . The primary they believe is in the stomach. The onecologist said this was a bad cancer ( arnt they all) can someone explaine the stages to me please.

I lost my period obviously during Chemotherapy. I had one so-called period (it was heavy and long) in early Jan 2010. In between then and now, I've had two romantic times with my husband of 20 years (yay I know, but you would understand if you've been through this) :) and both times I did bleed. The first surgery followed 8 weeks of chemotherapy and radiation. They gave me a lot of dilaudid (hydromorphone) for pain, both during chemo and at the time of surgery.
In the weeks after surgery I was a mess, dealing with the bag, more chemotherapy, and healing from the previous treatment and surgery. I dreaded the nights, the anxiety was torture. She appears to be normal and she does not feel any severe abdominal pain. Doctor said since there is no severe pain or swelling, there is no need of Chemotherapy. He has prescribed to take tablets and return for a check-up after 2 months. We are not convinced with his response.

re experiencing is not toothache (since no cavities were seen on dental x-rays) but a side effect of the chemotherapy. I really suggest that you try either Neurontin or Lyrica. If that pain is due to neuropathy, you will feel a marked decrease in pain after taking these drugs for a few days.
