Hello,
I am a 29 year old female, 5’5, 106 lbs and have been experiencing some GI problems for the past 6 years. I have been having on-and-off symptoms like globus hystericus, trapped gas in the throat and chest area, gag reflexes, and nausea. Almost every day, I would get this tightness or pressure in my throat, which makes it difficult to swallow liquids or solids. I would have to tilt my head back to swallow.
After eating breakfast and belching for a couple of hours it usually goes away. I also gas up if I get very hungry which makes it hard to eat and get my stomach full, which makes me gas up. I take two generic Prilosec every morning which helps, but I still wake up gassed up. After I get rid of the early morning gas, I belch quite a bit the rest of the day, but at least it doesn't nauseate me. I don't pass much gas, so it all appears to be in my esophagus and stomach.
Anywhere from 5 minutes to several hours after I eat I vomit up the entire contents of my stomach. If and when I am able to hold down foods I am miserable. I become dizzy and can almost feel the food in my throat. Physical activities are practically impossible to complete without extreme dizziness or vomiting. I have also experienced a abnormally large amount of gas. I am in no way pregnant, and am athletic. I am only 110lbs and 5ft 3. It has been going on for about a week.
4 mos ago Iad a still-unexplained attack of hives, and same time to have a feeling of obstruction in my throat. Hives disappeared, but felt as though there was gas in my chest I couldn't get rid of. Drinking warm liquids helped temporarily: suddenly I would be able to belch -- felt like BBs coming out of esophagus. One day I regurgitated under this pressure, and spit out about 2 tbsp of dense white foam: no acid taste, no food, no smell -- just foam.
Hi! I have been having some problems with my stomach the last few weeks. It started with pain pressure in the mid upper stomach where the ribs end. Sometimes the pain would be felt in my mid back. I also have an extreme, very uncomfortable amount of gas. I don't have heartburn, and I feel the best when I first wake up in the morning. I also don't have much of an appetite. I have gone to the doctor and have an endoscope scheduled for the 26th.
Feel nausea, gas, little sore throat. Saw a gl doctor and did endoscopy. There was a red scratch in my stomach. And ultrasound found little fatty liver. Doctor gave gastro medicine. That time i fully releved after 20 days suffering. Then after 4 months again i feel nausea, weaknesses, gas, bowl change, some time constipation, crampy abdominal pain, little thick one lymphnode. Gl said it is ibs. After sex with my wife she started same problem. I took gastric medicine as prescribed.
It may well be that you THINK the sounds are coming from your right shoulder but the kinds of sounds you describe are much more likely to be associated with gas in the stomach and intestines, some of which being able to come back into your throat and mouth.....remember...burps are noisy too....
best of luck with your concern, but it really does sound not a serious problem to me....
My 12 year old son has been having pain in his upper left quadrant of his stomach,under the rib cage. We went to hospital and they mentioned it was his bowels backed up in the intestines. Weeks later and he started having these pains again, so i was given him a gas reliever as they told me to give him. He is still having these pains with black stool,headache and sore throat. what type of test should I request and what could be wrong?
I am 28 yr old men I have stomach gas problem . It's start in 2010/04 when 1 night I had full bottle of whiskey. That night everything ok next morning I wake up while going to work I had mother drink 300ml after 1 hr of mother drink I had break fast about 7:30am soon after I start feeling dizzy and heart beat gone up my hand shaking and I went to emergency in kogarah. In hospital after few hrs I feel ok they just keep me under observation for 5-6 hrs send me home with vitamin pills.
i had stomache bloating but now i am passing non stop silent gas from my rectum and mouth but as the air/gas goes the more my stomach gets smaller it as been 2 days and i have loss weight in my breast legs and stomach i am a big gurl and my stomach has always been big but in just 24 hours it has gotten flat i dont understand this i try to eat but i really dont want to i just dont understand the air/gas is just coming and wont stop i made a video of how my stomach legs and breast are shrinking be
I Believe smoking to certain people more than others can be a very harmful and as for me I exercise very steadily and sing and I do a lot of breath control exercises for my singing and play drums very hard and I still lightly smoke cigarette and sometimes while I am active I get a arrhythmia it lasts for 3 or 4 minutes I feel my heart is pounding so fast I could even feel my heart beat in my throat and sometimes I get a panic about it and that will make my heart even go faster but I notice that
I tried the Gas-X today and it didn't seem to help much. Yes to the bloating and my stomach always kind of feels uneasy. Is it possibly lactose intolerance? Also, my ears get kind of stuffy as in I can't pop them (I thought that may be able to help). Could be stuffed up sinuses? Thank you!!
Hello...I get a pressure in my upper stomach that goes up to my throat causing my heart to beat fast.It seems it occurs when I lift anything with weight like my 12 lb.puppy.It lasts for a few minutes & is terrifying to me.I was diagnosed years ago with gerd.Not sure if this is related to gerd.I notice though it acts up when I have a gassy stomach but also trouble passing the gas easily.My stomach feels nauseous too.I get mild heartburn but not too bad.
I spent 2 weeks taking a prev pack which was horrible. After that I had pains in my stomach, and problems with gas. I went to the doctor and they said it was the same thing so I took another prev pack ( this was about a year after the first time) I kept getting burning pains in my stomach and sometimes sharp pains. My bowel movements have been crazy lately as well. I will randomly get diarrhea, usually at night.
i feel that gas ball has been trapped in my stomach and i feel this gas up to my throat and due to this fullness i feel very anxious.
Sounds more like indigestion without the gas...(well, you might have gas and not know it...
After the lunch, my stomach is almost full and I start expelling gas through the anus. I feel somewhat relieved after this. This become worse after dinner, and after some gas is passed through the anus, I feel ok.
Apart from this, I am having sore throat and frequent cough. I developed cough after suffering from recent flu, a month back. I thought it is due to cold, and visited ENT specialist. He did probe analysis and ruled out any bacterial/viral throat infection.

This is my first post & would LOVE to get get some insight on the symptoms I'm currently experiencing as the DR has given up & labelled my health problems 'IBS', which were non-existent a year ago & even with all my symptoms my bm's remain normal & regular. It is going to be quite long, but here we go!
My throat still feels as if food is stuck in there and my throat feels as if my throat was burnt severely and now it's sore. My stomach hurts, i constantly keep relieving gas. I would like some advice to what I should eat to make me feel better. Especially because of the vomiting & gas. I don't have insurance or else i would check myself into the hospital. Please help. Thank you.
Then I would say with those symptoms of weight gain unable to lose and if you mean constipation by irregular bowel movements, and feeling tired- definitely get your thyroid function checked because those can be symptoms of hypothyroidism (sluggish thyroid function) which can be treated if that's what you have!
What did your doctor base your diagnosis of acid reflux on? Did he look down your throat? Did he look at your esophagus?
