Common Questions and Answers about Stomach gas foods to avoid

gas

1063764 tn?1272821064 I have read many things on different foods to avoid, such as broccoli, peaches, brussel sprouts, etc. I don't COMPLETELY stray from them, but if I have them it's very rare. I was just curious as to what I should do/eat before I have these tests redone, so there aren't any false results. I do not want to be put on a higher dosage of medication that I don't need. Thanks for any help.
Avatar f tn Google foods that cause gas and avoid those foods. Nutmeg is a natural anti flatulant. Gas Ex is on my safe list. Not sure about Beeno, look it up. I have stomach issue pre preg. and Gass now is even worse. I admit that when gas bloating is uncomfortable, I go in bedroom, light a candle, and get on elbows and knees, tush up, to allow gravity to assist the gas to "rise" @and facillitate it's escape out my bum.
Avatar f tn Trial and error with your diet may help you avoid gas cramps when you exercise. You may need to reduce the amount of food you consume prior to working out and eliminate foods that cause gas on your workout days. Drink water every 15 minutes as you're working out, especially if you eat a high fiber diet. Dairy products also can add to gas pains, so avoid milk or yogurt prior to working out. Gas pains may need a little help. Peppermint tea is an effective treatment for gas cramps.
Avatar m tn In general, potato is not a gas forming food. I would recommend you try avoiding 100% of all lactose from your diet for 2 weeks to see if that helps.

Avatar f tn you need to have your dr to consult a stomach doctor , maybe the can scope your stomach to see if you have any problems
Avatar f tn From what I understand, it is a common thing for people to have stomach noises after the surgery- that said, you should notify your doctor about it as they will have some recommendations on how to help, depending on what exactly is the cause. Sometimes you just need to avoid certain foods and other times anti-gas medications help. In some cases, you might need to have a surgery done if they find that something isn't 'right' (for example an obstruction is found).
Avatar n tn It is also going to depend on the foods you are eating. Avoid fried/fatty foods and try to eat vegetables and fruits. Hope you get to feeling better soon.
Avatar f tn Hi, I have had fecal body odor for a while now. I can smell it a lot too, so I know it’s real. I told my mom, but she thinks it’s my imagination. The past few months I’ve been dealing with gastro problems like stomach aches, diarrhea & severe constipation, body aches, etc. Had an endoscopy for suspected celiac & it was negative. Finally was recommended to visit an allergist by my dietician and had a full skin tag test done.
Avatar n tn You could try to avoid the foods that trigger the abdominal pain and gas, during my last pregnancy grapes gave me excruciating pain! Drink plenty of water and maybe try eating prunes/prune juice. When was your last bowel movement? You could be impacted with stool if your pain is that severe.
Avatar m tn He has seen many doctors, but he has told me that they mainly tell him to take Gas-X, probiotics and other medications that have not helped him. He has also had a specialist check his insides with a camera and did not find anything problematic. He has basically given up on seeing doctors. His problems seem to get worse after eating greasy and spicy foods. He can not sit down after eating or his gas gets worse. He can not get much sleep because of his bloating problem.
Avatar f tn t aware that laying on their right side can cause gas to build up in your colon and form a gas bubble. The way the colon is shaped and with the gas rising upward, when laying on the right side it gets trapped in the ascending and transverse sections of the colon and is not as easily expelled as it is when laying on the left side. I recommend trying some OTC treatments like beano, gas X, prilosec, prevacid, Mylanta, mylox etc. for a few days.
Avatar n tn I had my gall bladder out and I am now unable to enjoy any fatty or spicy foods. Stay away from fast food, fatty foods (moderation) eat more fresh veggies and drink water with lemon to help cleanse your liver. Eat more chicken, fish and complex carbohydrates (they help control your cholesterol which is the cause of gall stones). Do not eat white flour carbohydrates and avoid simple sugars (can cause to much insulin that can lead to liver problems).
Avatar m tn Hello and hope you are doing well. Please don't do that, you could be letting more gas in, in the process of letting it out. Now, you follow some good lifestyle measures for the bloating and gas to decrease. Eat food rich in plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, avoid spicy and fatty food, avoid smoking and eliminate alcohol. Do not consume caffeinated beverages. Practice good relaxation techniques like yoga and meditation. Exercise regularly. Go for long relaxed walks.
Avatar n tn You may try taking over the counter antacids for relief in symptoms. Avoid eating fried spicy foods. Persistent and excessive gas in the stomach may require medical attention. Consult a doctor and get evaluated. I hope it helps. Best wishes and regards!

Avatar m tn re having a problem with or if you have some condition such as ciliac disease that is interfering with your ability to digest food. Easiest place to start is to cut out wheat and dairy, the most common culprits, but perhaps you should try seeing a holistic nutritionist.
Avatar m tn When I got this for the first time, I thought I will die because of the gas coming up into my chest area and pain. I used to barp 500 to 1000 times a day. I was unable to breathe properly for 3 days. I went to so many hospitals and no one was able to find the exact problem. The doctor who did the endoscopy said that my food valve is bit wider than normal and gas being produced in the stomach is coming up and causing the pain.
Avatar m tn To be safe until you can get in - avoid fatty/fried foods, and avoid anything that can irritate the liver, such as alcohol, Tylenol (acetaminophen) products, and even any cholesterol medications that you might be taking. But get this checked out ASAP.
Avatar f tn I'm pregnant with my 3rd child I remember most the foods to avoid is there any latest ones that could of been brought out and not known since I was pregnant 6 years ago...
Avatar m tn Does anybody know what foods and beverages to avoid for the liver?anyway let me know.
1297023 tn?1272642624 I'm a 17 year old high school student too. I've had the same thing you have and I attribute it to gas having trouble moving through the intestines. For this you can try gas-x. I was also having a lot of pain due to this problem though so I cut out all gas producing foods and the problem stopped.
