Five days later, felt nauseated, two days after that started vomitting. Called Endo who suggested it was stomach flu or gastrointestinal flu. I told him I know what the flu is and I don't have it. Rushed to hospital. Ionized calcium measured at 1.92 mmol/L. Kidneys creatinine doubled to 160 mmol/L (now back down to 88 mmol/L). Blood pressure was extremely high 168/78 and I was dehydrated.
I think I have some kind of stomach flu and have had diaherria all day. I'm a ftm and am worried about it being bad for the baby. Has anyone else gotten sick while pregnant?

My 2 yr old son has just vomitted for the 3rd time since I've been home (12am) and 1 more time before that. He pukes and doesn't have a problem passing right back out. For example his last time he roled over and puked, cried a tiny bit and then he passed right back out. 3 days ago I contracted, what I thougt, was food poisening, but all last week my wife's mother was really sick with something... seems to be a coincidence!
t thrown up(yet) but this diarrhea is killing me is there I can do to make it stop or should I call my dr when her office opens? This is my third child and I've never been sick while pregnant so I don't know what to do. Please help!!
You say "I have a 7 month baby and has the stomach flu." Do you mean you have the flu or the baby has the flu? If the latter, go with the advice from margy. If the former, feed the baby as usual, keeping yourself as hydrated as possible. (Stomach flu doesn't transmit in breast milk.
My 3 yr old granddaughter was complaining of a stomach ache. She had a fever and after it continued was taken to the ER. They did a urinalysis & said she had hematuria and to see a pediatrician. The next night she woke up several times during the night crying that she had a backache. First of all this pain intrusuion started at the end of june. lower back and around where the kidneys are. moved up to my lung and got a sore throat. ok, doc gave me antibiotics and it went away.
a month later, it all came back. got more antibiotics. i took them but they made me feel worse, flu like with no energy. all the while with aching going on around my chest cavity,lower back. and a burning sensation around my kidneys. the antibiotics got finished but i couldn't see a change.
It has been my experience that all kinds of pain is normal. Back, legs, arms, stomach, feet all types of pain. Hot tub baths helped me and my boyfriend alot. My boyfriend (Tony) told me that even his hair hurt? So yes, I think it is normal. I think if you are having burning while you pea or blood in your pea then I would think that is not normal and maybe you should go to the doc. Hope some of this helps. There are a lot of people on here with more exp than me.
I am 28 and recently had some quite severe symptoms that I believed were related to glandular fever. It started with nodes swelling at the back of my ears, then extreme flu like symptoms and ear infections. Then the dizziness began. A feeling of constant 'swimming' and of being light headed. I also felt extremely tired all the time and depressed. My mood swings were uncontrollable and I was told I may have bipolar!!
I always thought Tylenol hurts liver and kidneys and aspirin/ibuprofen/naproxen hurts the stomach. I thought naproxen was in the group that hurt the stomach and stomach lining but, now, I'm confused because I stopped taking it and now the pain in my kidney seems to be letting up. Anyone else have this problem?
I'm 17, pretty healthy, nothing wrong with me except about 3 weeks ago I got a flu. Just the usual fatigue, dizziness, headaches, tummyaches, runny nose etc. that goes along with a winter cold. At one point I had blood in my urine but only once and my kidney area sometimes hurt. I did notice I was retaining water a lot, especially around the stomach area, to the point where drinking was physically paining my stomach by stretching it so much.
