Business woman2 It is unusual for a stomach virus to cause such a high fever. I would be concerned for a bacterial infection which can be more serious. Good luck and I hope you feel better!
Avatar n tn I have been sick for five days now constant fever, horrible cough, bodyaches, and stomach sourness. My fever reached 105.2 yesterday that is when I thought I should get to a doctor, my doctor was not working so I had to see a different one. He told me I most likely have a sinus infection? Why do I have burning in my stomach and constant nausia? The fever seems to slowly disappearing and the bodyaches as well, but this conitinuous sickness feeling is the hardest part.
Avatar n tn Ok this might not be the right fourm but. I know that symptoms are a bad way to diagnose hiv , but im just wondering. Ive had this "Fever" for the past like month, and its been arround 99.3 as high as 100.2 ok so i say "fever" cuz im not sure if thats even considered a fever...is that typical of hiv, or is this just a flu bug.
Avatar n tn Fevers are a no no while pregnant. Just make sure you keep a fever down and you drink tons of water. If your fever get to high lets say 102 go to the hospital. Its dangerous for your baby and you.

1770029 tn?1325802355 Hi and sorry you are ill. There is no such thing as "stomach flu" meaning the influenza virus does not cause flu in the stomach. It is considered gastroenteritis. The symptoms of diarrhea, vomiting, low grade fever up to 100 degrees and possible cramps are caused by many things, virus or bacterial. However, the most common cause is a virus called Norovirus. It is spead from person to person by fecal oral contamination.

Avatar f tn I had a very very bad cold (with a fever) for a week then when that started to go away exactly one week later I got the stomach flu (with a fever) where I was throwing up and felt like I got hit by a mac truck. I mean I hurt from head to the tips of my toes. I had diarrhea for about 5 days after that too. You probably had a slight fever but I think you should be ok. I had all this happen around 7 weeks or so and I have had ultrasounds and appointments and everything is fine.
Avatar f tn The vomiting stopped, but the high fever lasted. Fever was about 20 hours total, accompanied by chills and body aches like a mild flu. Kept temperature down with a dose of Aspirin & later a dose of Tylenol. Went to clinic, they did flu test which was negative, and said I didn't have strep, that it was likely just a virus. Next day, I feel 100% better...except I've urinated twice and it's dark brown and has an odor.
9023883 tn?1402943375 I'm so achy. Like my hips and my shoulders. I feel like I'm gonna puke and my stomach is sensitive to the touch. And my back is sore. I'm 38 weeks pregnant. I had the flu shot and I Dont think I'm running fever. I feel so puny....
7125575 tn?1588844178 Chest pains and fever are not early pregnancy symptoms. Getting nauseous when you don't eat frequently is a typical body response to hunger and dropping blood sugar. Headaches can also be caused by blood pressure changes related to eating. Your breaststroke hurting and lower abdominal pain could be PMS. Take a test or see a doctor.
1806721 tn?1554333407 Just started to recover from a 6-day migraine attack, then yesterday DS came down with a flu and high fever of 103.5. Now he is a little better with 101 fever, and I started to feel horrible chills, sore throat, stuffy nose, headache, nausea... It seems the flu will hit me tonight. I'm 14w1d today and hasn't got flu shot this year due to immunology issues (for fear of embryo rejection). Not sure how bad tonight is gonna be. Anyone else having a bad Christmas?
Avatar f tn Sounds like he has the stomach flu. I would go for a second opinion to a different doctor if I were you.
Avatar f tn So I've had the stomach flu since Sunday night & its now Thursday morning. I'm starting to get really freaked out that its lasting this long. My symptoms are the usual symptoms, diarrhea, headache, a fever, chills, etc.. I haven't thrown up at all this whole time thankfully. And I thought I was getting better because all the symptoms have went away, except I'm still getting diarrhea. Its just once a day, its not chronic like im running to the bathroom.
Avatar m tn I had sex with a guy I bottomed on 1/2/13 no oral sex just sex with a condom (I put the condom on him) I checked the condom after sex and there was no holes in the condom or anything...About 5 days later my stomach started being upset with diarrea, vomiting, nausea, no fever or flu signs as of yet...Today makes a week and the stomach issues are still going on...It's almost about 2 weeks since the sexual encourter I had blood work done and I guess why I am alarmed is my WBC was low (3.
Avatar n tn I thought that i was getting better after a couple of days, but soon was awakened with a stomach flu in the middle of the night, I'm not throwing up anymore, but still have diarrhea and a very consistent pain in my abdomen, which I'm pretty sure is gas. Although i haven't been able to walk upright for long amounts of time without the pain becoming overwhelming its almost by my belly button but isn't stuck in one spot. Any help is appreciated.
Avatar f tn And now 11pm im starting to feel sick. Like nausus. Im so scared of getting this she was throwin up bad and had a high fever. Im 13 weeks. Please someone what should i do?
Avatar m tn diarrhea, stomach cramps, nausea, headache, and a fever (one episode). The next couple of days I was still weak but then it got better. Does 24 hour flu symptoms are also similar to “typical” acute HIV infection? Or the “flu” every expert mentions stretches for a longer period (i.e. multiple fevers)? I am extremely concerned that I possibly got infected with HIV and I obsess with it because it is too soon to go test myself (because of the window period).
Avatar f tn If you mean flu as in a common cold, baby will be just fine. If you mean flu as influenza, then I'd be seeing you doctor asap as influenza can cause death. Common colds are just the snotty head, cough, sore throat, temperatures, hot and cold sweats etc. Influenza is where you can barely move because it hurts to move, high temps, sweats etc.
3112100 tn?1379614659 Wat are syptoms of stomach flu? Ive been feelin a lil wierd since yesterday.. Nd goin to the restroom more than usual.. So now im curious ?
Avatar f tn Hi Sarah, yes 109 must be off but even so a very high fever for an adult with throwing up, sounds like the flu but you could get dehydrated and even brain damage with a fever of say 104 I believe, (not sure if it is at what point you get brain damage). Also, if you don't stop throwing up and the fever is over 100 and persists you will need to see a doc.Throwing up more than 5 -7 times can result in severe dehydration and loss of electrolytes such as potassium.
8600220 tn?1398955674 It does take about a week to get over viral stomach flu which isn't really a flu but that is what most people call it. It is caused by norovirus usually. If you are able to drink fluids maybe cut back on eating solid foods too much and you should feel better. If it doesn't get better you could have a bacterial food poisoning. Do you have a high fever? See if you cut back on your solid food intake and try soups and see if you feel better.
