stomach cramps kidney infection

I feel like I might have some sort of infection... possibly from holding my urine in too long? I'm having really bad lower back pains & lower stomach pains...not like cramps but deep pains. I have an appt tomorrow, but if I do have an infection, is that dangerous???

The back cramps might have resulted from a mouth-stomach infection or from my cervical dystonia. I got some infection in my mouth mocosa, then pharynx, esophagus and stomach. Upper abdomen was so swollen and tight that respiratory movements were difficult. Now the symptoms have vanished but I sometiomes get tightness in my upper abdomen when walking. Could this be from the diaphragma, or esophagus or stomach? A coronary artery disease has been excluded from possible causes.

So my question is has anyone had the blood in their urine and stomach cramps and had something else other than the kidney stones. Also I like to mention that my kidney function test came back fine. I would appreciate anyone's input.

Kind of a whole bunch of midsection cramps. Can a bad kidney infection give you cramps through out the whole midsection?

Even if you think you have a urinary tract infection or kidney infection the best thing to do is call your doctor all they need is a urine sample when tou get there

He had a stomach virus and he was getting treatment and then it went to a bladder infection and from the bladder it turned into a kidney infection. He got got treatment and he got better. About 2 weeks later he is back in the hospital with the same problem and they cant figure out where the infection is coming from. I am very grateful to you for replying, Doctors in Trinidad aren't very liable.

i have been having extremely bad pain in the lower part of my stomach underneath my belly botton cramps but horrible cramps its been 4 days in a row at night and morning is when it gets horrible , so i went to the hospital and the ran blood test on me amd the urine test it came out positive of pregnancy , but once they did the ultra sound they did n out find anything there so they told me i was not pregnant that it was just a bladder infection or urine infection but ive had urine infections be

If the blood was in your urine and you have one sided back pain it could be a kidney infection. Very common in late pregnancy because the bladder has a hard time fully emptying and the tubes that lead from the kidneys to bladder dilate a bit so urine can easily backtrack and cause infection.

I went to the er and the founs blood in mine urine i was having cramps and right side lower back pain and to come to find out i had kidney stones and a yeast infection..

I ended up in even more pain Saturday evening and they admitted me and finally realized it was a kidney infection. I spent from Saturday night until Wednesday afternoon. I was on iv antibiotics and iv fluids the whole time. I was discharged with instructions for modified bed rest and had to take macrobid the rest of my pregnancy to avoid it reoccurring. I ended up having my son at 35 weeks.

i was diagnosed with urine infection a few days after surgery to remove a large ovarian cyst. the only sympton i had was severe stomach cramps which i thought was associated to the the surgery but after a urine test at the a&e, they found that it was a urnine infection. i was given antibiotics, which didn't take into effect until the 3rd/4rth day. i've now finished the prescribed course, however, i've found that my urine is still very yellow despite me drinking more than 1.

A friend told me this could be a kidney infection. Does anyone have any other ideas? Does this sound serious? I have a trip planned for this weekend and I really don't want to cancel it b/c of this. Part of my problem is that I don't have health insurance, can I go to any clinic for this or do you think I will need to see a urologist for this?

I would get checked sounds like UTI if it goes untreated it could turn into a kidney infection...Also drink plenty of water and cranberry juice.

@MirandaB3 do you know if you have a kidney infection if a uti test comes back positive too?

It could be gas, polycystic ovary, muscle pull, nerve impingement, kidney stone or even infection of the gut. Take Omeprazole empty stomach in morning and an antacid gel at bedtime. Refrain from smoking, alcohol, fuzzy drinks, caffeine, and spicy food. Walking around also helps clear gas. If it does not help, consult a doctor. Take care!

urine flow can be comprimised if stone blocks ureter and kidney will swell causing back pain towards side. if left untreated can cause infection. go see a urologist or nephrologist as soon as you can or strain urine at home everytime you pee till pain is completely gone. some stones take forever to pass and others are quick. its good to know what kind of stone you have to try to prevent another. good luck.

Personally I'd take them or your infection can get worse and turn into a kidney infection. If your doctor had a concern with antibiotics while pregnant they wouldn't have prescribed it for you!

I recently suffered with a sever urine infection, well it did not want to go away. I went on to orpic 250mg and Acid tablets. I'm off now, but suffering with stomach cramps and my Stomach is Growling its really painful when I stretch. I also have white discharge which I haven't suffered with since a child. I am sexually active (only with my boyfriend). I'm worried and the pain is an aching pain in my stomach. I also suffered a serious kidney infection a month ago.

I was gonna say the same thing a uti or bladder infection or kidney infection and it's bad if left untreated u should go to the e.

Burning when you urinate, cloudy urine, strong smelling urine, needing to pee all the time but passing small amounts, pain in your side like u said could be a kidney infection (infection that's traveled up from your urinary tract to your kidney) just a thought, if ur doctor/obstertrician/midwife etc checks your urine when u see them they would be able to see if you have an infection

But for the last couple months i get abdominal almost worse then period cramps and my lower back hurst so bad. Also when I have intercourse it hurts so bad. This pain usually lasts for about a week each time. It does go away for about two or three weeks but then comes back..

Anyone here had a kidney infection before? What helps for pain? And how long does the pain normally last??
