Common Questions and Answers about Stomach cancer ultrasound

stomach

Avatar m tn I feel heaviness in my stomach besides discomfort. I did a endoscopy, a ultrasound and bloodwork in Marc 2019. The results came with small hiatal hernia and an ulcer. I am very disturbed that the discomfort is not going. I have made 4 trips to the doctor and he is not worried. Do I have stomach cancer ? what should I do now ?
Avatar f tn Six months is a too long time and you should have got evaluated by now. Stomach diseses, gastritis, peptic ulcer disease, stomach cancer all can lead to nausea and loss of appetite. Do you also have yellowish discoloration of your skin, eyes and urine? That could be due to gall bladder disease or hepatitis. Eat small healthy meals. You need to consult a primary care physician. He will further refer you to a gastroenterologist.
60505 tn?1313946644 "I am a 46yo (white) female, I have been checking statistics for stomach cancer and I do see as a female and with my race the odds are very low. For the last 2 months I have been getting stomach "pain" more uncomfortable than pain, along with a feeling of "fullness" sometimes with a sense of nausea. No weight loss. I would say I have been getting indigestion and reflux for as long as I can remember.
Avatar f tn Pain always in the same two spots. Worried about stomach cancer because it has gone untreated until now, for like 5 years.
Avatar f tn I also probably should have mentioned that we have a family history of stomach cancer and stomach ulcers, which is also what got me to thinking this. My diet, when I do manage to get it down, is good - no worries there. I do not smoke, and drink alcohol occasionally. My specialist told me about an endoscopy but he said he didn't think I needed one, so instead, told me to wait. Do you really think it's worthwhile going back?
Avatar n tn Vague but persistent gastrointestinal complaints such as gas, nausea, indigestion. Frequency and/or urgency of urination. Any unexplained change in bowel habits. Abnormal postmenopausal bleeding. Weight gain or loss. Abdominal swelling and/or pain; bloating and/or a feeling of fullness. Pain during intercourse. If vague symptoms persist longer than 4-6 weeks, insist on a thorough rectovaginal examination.
Avatar n tn My best friend has been battling ovarian cancer for over 3 years. She is on her second round of chem. Lately she has the feeling that her stomach is full. This seems to be strongest right after chemo and ther feeling goes away after about 1 1/12 weeks. Is this a sign that the stomach is filling with fluid and that she is getting worst? Her doctors says there is nothing there thanks!
Avatar n tn That's hard to answer. At your age stomach cancer is INCREDIBLY rare. Just try to get it out of your mind.
Avatar f tn If your only symptom is stomach gurgling, i wouldn't worry about cancer. My guess would be something like you're not producing enough digestive enzymes, or possibly have too much or too little stomach acid. I would try 2 things; a digestive enzyme before you eat, and a probiotic (7 strains 10 billion or more cultures). If you have a fairway or whole foods nearby go there and someone will be able to help you pick these things up.
Avatar f tn Hi I dont want to sound like im a hypercondriac but the abdomial pain that women experince with ovarian cancer is it lower or upper pain. I have upper stomach pain for over a yr now. 506981 tn?1223185396 I am sorry to say that the chances are high as it was originally stomach cancer had already affected gall-bladder. "The bile ducts are the tubes connecting the liver and gall bladder to the small intestine (small bowel). If cancer develops in the bile ducts it may block the flow of bile from the liver to the intestine. This causes the bile to flow back into the blood and body tissues, and leads to the skin and whites of the eyes becoming yellow (known as jaundice).
Avatar f tn I went to the dr and because of my family history of ovarian cancer, my dr had me get an ultrasound. I went back on 7/1/2016 for the ultrasound results and she said everything looked normal (except for a small cyst on my left ovary, which was normal). She then ordered a urine test and shortly after a nurse told me I had some leuks in my urine which meant some kind of infection and they had to send it off to their lab to determine what type and get me on the right medicine.

Avatar f tn For the last 4 months I have had pain on the left side of my stomach down to my pelvic area, a nagging pain sometimes dull or sharp near and around the belly button, also consistant bloating that will not go away in a circle around the belly button. Had endometriosis removed, symptoms still came back I don't think it was the endo causing this. I don't know what to do anymore, I feel like my doctors gave up on me. Could it be ovarian cancer?

Avatar f tn t afford to lose any weight. I am at a lost and was just wondering what the likelihood is that I would have stomach cancer? If not, is there other conditions that I could have that could cause these symtoms? I am really worried and would appreciate your response.
Avatar f tn Hi Dr. Goodman and all the forum readers, My mom had a recurrence of ovarian cancer in Jan 2007. There were 3 small tumours in the stomach cavity, "outside" the stomach lining. She did chemo again, but it didn't help much, the tumours got a little smaller but were still there. She was offered to take part of a clinical trial and had her first treatment last Tuesday.
Avatar n tn cancer symptoms are different. I'm not cancer specilist but if you are concerend with stomach cancer i dnt think so its cancer... for cancer you dont feel any pain uptill the last stage....is blood coming out from your mouth??? or are you vomiting... i think you must be eating some oily food or must be having some abdominal infection the yellow stool is the sign of infection in your abdomen or it might be those medicines you took..... about you kidney pain....
Avatar f tn d take that as a good sign. The ultrasound may give you the final okay that this is not cancer related. He really must not suspect cancer based on the markers.
Avatar f tn Sorry for your troubles! If you do not have a family history of ovarian cancer, it is unlikely to be cancer since the average woman's lifetime risk is only 1.3%. Something is certainly going on since you have not had a period for 6 months. But some endocrine abnormalities (such as thyroid, pituitary, adrenal) can cause menstrual cycle irregularities. So can the metabolic disorder termed Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).
Avatar n tn Not necessarily. Stomach cancer can often have negative blood work (except you may be anemic). However it is much much more likely that you have something like an ulcer causing the black specks. Stomach cancer is very rare! How old are you?
