Avatar f tn re taking ibuprofen regularly, you need something like Prilosec to protect your stomach. I messed up my stomach because I was taking high doses of ibuprofen but thought I was ok but it can really do a job on your stomach. Sometimes we have to piece together many things to get some pain relief. I use prescription gel, patches, ibuprofen, nortriptyline, & some narcotics.

This is not his first time going to the hospital. This is probably his third or fourth time. The first time he went to the hospital, the doctor told him that he has stomach cancer. Avatar n tn I am wondering if it has anything to do with my Colon Cancer? I was diagnosed with Stage 3b Colon Cancer in 2009. Prior to diagnoses and as of today, nothing seems to work for me. When I was in the hospital the only pain medication that worked for me was morphine and it was through an IV. In fact, it worked so well I was asleep most of my stay, which I really could not stand.

I have heartburn I am constantly burping and I feel like my stomach is burning and it makes really strange sounds. Has this ever happened to anyone??? Avatar f tn It is not a matter of how long you can live with thyroid cancer. Some people (Including Me) think "What the hell" and just want to let the cancer run it's course. The only problem with this is the loaction of the cancer (In my freaking neck) snuggled right up next to my airway. I call my tumor "My Little Buddy". Now..my little buddy decided to keep right on growing, which most tumors do and now my airway is being pressed on.

Avatar m tn The last few years my diet has consisted of waking up early morning, having 3-4 coffees with a bunch of cigarettes on an empty stomach, taking my diabetes pills along with blood thinners and cholesterol medication, all on an empty stomach. And when I did eat a meal, I always overdid it, eating more than my stomach could take. I'd get heartburns like crazy and just fed rolaids to it.

Avatar f tn Six months is a too long time and you should have got evaluated by now. Stomach diseses, gastritis, peptic ulcer disease, stomach cancer all can lead to nausea and loss of appetite. Do you also have yellowish discoloration of your skin, eyes and urine? That could be due to gall bladder disease or hepatitis. Eat small healthy meals. You need to consult a primary care physician. He will further refer you to a gastroenterologist.

My diet, when I do manage to get it down, is good - no worries there. I do not smoke, and drink alcohol occasionally. My specialist told me about an endoscopy but he said he didn't think I needed one, so instead, told me to wait. Do you really think it's worthwhile going back?

Avatar f tn My mom is suffering from cancer. It started with just a stomach pain in November of last year. Doctors did a CTScan and they said it was an ulcer. Then a month later, after all the medication given to her, it wasn't working and her stomach started swollen. Doctors advised laparoscopy surgery they were afraid it might be her apendicites swollen up. They found out it wasn't. According to them her intestine were tight and twisted.

I have cut back my prescribed dosage about 50% the last 18 months due to finances and lack of health insurance. The symptons appear to sound like my gall bladder is not working properly.
