Avatar f tn After 10 month the tip of the nose still very swollen and the nose is still asymmetric. I have trouble to breathe and I’m making strange noises while tiring. There is a hole in my cartage that goes through and its very disturbing. I am very unhappy with the results. The surgeon said that he will perform the revision operation but I don’t trust him anymore after what he’s done.

Avatar m tn I also had a rhinoplasty bump on my nose it looks bad and have breathing problem, but even two years after rhinoplasty I have no such problem and with my experience its absolutely good for nose reshaping. You should concern with your doctor.
Avatar n tn Hello, how are you? - have a few questions for you... I recently had rhinoplasty on the 29th of this month. I will not say the name of the doctor due to privacy. The tip which is most sensitive is very bulbous and it seems the cartilage is gathering to one side - I do not think this is swelling since that area does not hurt. Will this subside and if not - do doctors garuntee and fix mishaps like this? When I scrunch my nose it stings above it where the cartilage is pushing on my new bone...
Avatar f tn CT are clear. Never had Lumbar Punc. If CSF has sealed itself, would I still have these symptoms? I have a dianosis of Trigeminal Neuralgia and Allodynia. Still searching for more because I have been on All pain meds, hosp for pain mgmt, seizure and migraine meds. Migraines are ruled out! Nothing has helped.
Avatar f tn Hello, The minimum recommended age to have rhinoplasty performed is 15 years of age for girls and 16 for boys. Thanks for the message. Please feel free to contact my office any time and we would be happy to provide you with additional information.
Avatar m tn Hello, It sounds like you have nothing to worry about, but it is still very soon after your surgery and your nose is still healing. It is important to protect your nose during this time. You may have slightly increased your swelling with any pressure you may have applied. At this point, it would be best to speak with your physician about any concerns, as he/she knows the extent of your surgery and exactly what was performed. Thank you and best of luck. Dr.
Avatar dr m tn This may not be enough to clog up your nose, but if you have flimsy nostrils or had rhinoplasty in the past that weakened the nostrils, then breathing in with a stuffy nose may trigger your nostrils to collapse. Starting from the tip of your nose, the first thing you must do is to find out if you have flimsy nostrils. If you have a very narrow nose, or if your nostril openings are very narrow and slit-like, then you may be prone to having flimsy nostrils.
Avatar f tn 5/05 was my first Rhinoplasty. After the splint was removed the doc found a bump that he had missed. At the same time I developed a Staph infection that sat in my face for 8-10 weeks before the chin implant was removed. I had a barage of antibiotics but nothing ever got rid of it until the implant was removed on 7/18. On 7/18/05 a mere 7 1/2 weeks since the full blown rhinoplasty, the doc went in to remove the bump. The removal of the bump and chin implant was scheduled to take 30 minutes.
Avatar f tn You would not believe it but following a Rhinoplasty operation 10 years ago I too have been left with many of the symptoms suffered by you. It is as if the whole head seizes up tight and burns severely with intractable pain, and believe me I have suffered most severely for 10 years. I WAS LEFT WITH CONSTANT PAIN IN MY NOSE, CHEEKS, FOREHEAD, TEMPLES, JAWS, SCALP, OCCIPITAL AREA AND NECK. All treatments so far have failed and of course the MRI Scan was reported normal.
