My neck has given me trouble since the accident and symptoms would flare up in the form of a very stiff neck. At times my neck was so sore and stiff that I could not lift my head off of my pillow. The stiffness would last a few days and everything would fine again… for a while. Six months ago I had a severe flare up and my index finger and thumb on my left hand went completely numb.
the pain stayed relatively the same, except that my upper back became stiff as well, and i had occassional sharp pains and twitching in my abdomen and back. upon arriving back in minnesota my neck became very stiff, and although i stopped smoking (i smoke roughly a cig or two daily) after the scare of the chest pains, i shared a cigarette with my friend, and woke the next day with a bad sore throat. my neck then became extremely stiff, as did many of my joints.

I am overall healthy mid 40's a bit overweight but no health problems other than GERD. The past two weeks my neck and upper back have been very sore & stiff. My neck continually feels like I slept on it wrong? Ive been having some esophagus tightness but nothing alarming. Zantac is definitely helping with the GERD symptoms. Im blaming the neck and shoulder pain on GERD too but not Im starting to think it might be more?
I've been having a stiff neck on the lower back of my neck near my upper back which bothers me whenever I look up. I always worry about things and whenever I check about it I see things relating to meningitis which freaks me out. Know if anything is wrong? And I had a very slight headache but I think that's from the creatine I just started taking today.
I started panicking a little and took a shower and an hour later my temperature was 99.1 which is making me panic even more.

have bad headache pain in middle of forehead, in eyes and both temples and also comes from the bottom of my neck, the neck is painfully sore andd very stiff tried everything and no relief..Pharmacy said I should go to emercency because migraines don't have stiff painful necks, don't know what it is just know I can't lift my head up much due to the pain, even have upper back pain feels like I been hit with a truck .
About 6 months ago I started having pain in my upper arms and across the back of my neck and shoulders. It was like a really bad stiff neck. Approx. 3 months ago the same type pain has occurred in my upper legs as well. In both areas, I am experiencing muscle weakness. If I try to lift or pick up something over my head, it is very difficult. After sitting or sleeping, the pain and stiffness is very bad. After walking the pain and stiffness decrease. I've written here before a month ago I had protected sex the condom broke.. I haven't had any flu like symptoms but I've had itching all over my body now I have sore stiff neck my upper back is sore to touch so is my lower back this is all on one side.. Is any of this related to hiv or does it sound like it?
I have had a sore, stiff, burning at times neck for months on left side it goes into shoulder and I can feel it on left side of upper back and into between shoulder blades. It started almost 6 months ago. It's gotten worse over time. I was getting massages in march when it started for anxiety that I developed a couple years ago. The massage felt good but they would stretch me to during the massage and I think it was too much but I don't know.
I had a sinus infection that started out as allergies that I went on an antibiotic for the same day I came down with the stiff neck. I am pretty certain the meds did not cause the stiff neck but I am thinking more about the virus thing because my immune system was down. I have not been sick for over 30 years so this is very strange for me. If anyone else has had a similar situation I would love to hear from you!

I have arthritis (that I developed at a very young age) and suffer from a very stiff and sore neck with limited movement and recently an MRI scan has picked up a protruding peg at the top of my spine that is rather close to my brain. The doctors weren't concerned about this for the time being and said just to be aware of balance problems that may or may not develop.
Could it be something to do with my stiff neck?

It could be stress but I had a mild sore throat yesterday with a little neck pain I took an antibiotic just in case and the next day the sore throat subsided and my neck was a little stiff. By the evening I had a headache that was so insanely painful i wanted to cry. My neck was killing me and I had to lay there on a towel full of ice just to tolerate it. When I woke up today my headache is gone but my neck is stiff and still a little painful. Is this something to worry about?
When the intense stinging/tingling pain is not happening, then I am left with a extreme sorness, as though a knee is in my upper back. This only happens on my right hand side. My arms and hands often go numb when the pain is at its worse.
