death

Avatar f tn My dog is obsessed with my belly. He licks it all the time!! My hubby tried touching it once and our dog made a really weird noise and pushed him away. I think they can definitely sense there's something in our tummies!! I'm 26+2 with my first boy.
228686 tn?1211554707 We all do our best when it comes to taking care of our animals and you have amassed great knowledge in the tending of cats. Sometimes life or death can get the upper hand and there is nothing we can do to change the outcome. I wish you peace with the situation over time.
Avatar f tn Animals are so smart:))
124426 tn?1239928000 I am so very very sorry for your loss. As far as getting another animal, well, you will know when you are ready. Our first kitty died in 05 and we couldn't even THINK of getting another cat in spite of well meaning friends and family who encouraged us to do so. We weren't sure if we even wanted another cat because it's so heartbreaking to lose them. 6mos after our loss, I was still crying when one day some new neighbors moved in next door to us who had a cat. A very sick cat.
Avatar f tn I'm living it right now and to be honest, I am aware of 5 to 7 steps or stages of the grief process, but they don't matter, because you survive one day at a time ....baby steps, and not time frame, since everyone heals at their own pace. It's been 2 years for me and I do feel better, but I am not yet completely healed...it takes a long time.
Avatar f tn Oh goodness. I'm sorry. Did you at one time adore the dog or have you always kind of been so so on her? I ask that because I absolutely adored my doggie and then when I had our first child . . . she became . . . not my baby anymore but A DOG. I was just too busy with childcare and loving on my true baby to give her the time and attention I once had. Boo, feel a little bad about that. I'm sure she was confused.
1275938 tn?1281195461 Some counties in my state have populations of under 10,000 people, and some counties in my state have some of the lowest per capita incomes in the US. You are probably not going to be able to get someone from the Humane Society to drive 100 miles to pick up a stray dog, and if there is no dog pound within a similar distance, you are just stuck.
Avatar f tn I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. Unfortunately, the only way to tell what it was that killed your Maltese is to have the vet perform a necropsy. That will tell you why he died. I am sure that he knew that he was very loved. To the best of our knowledge, animals don't think about their own mortality the way that people do.
296076 tn?1371334474 To call them animals is just plain unfair, since most animals will fight to the death in defense of their young. I go with calling them demon possessed, souless, aliens from another planet.
Avatar f tn Stage 1 is considered a small amount of fibrosis. Stages 2 and 3 is considered a greater amount of fibrosis or scarring meaning the disease has progressed. The more fibrosis the harder it is on the liver to carry out it's functions. As the damage progresses further, many scars can form together, which can lead to stage 4, or cirrhosis.
Avatar m tn THE VET HERE IN INDIA ARE ONLY MAKING MONEY OUT OF THE ANIMALS ILLNESS ARE THEY JUST BECOMING VETS FOR BEST WAY OF EARNING MONEY.THEY DONT HAVE FEELINGS FOR ANIMALS.POOR ANIMALS JUST SUFFER AND PASS AWAY BECAUSE WE COME ACROSS SUCH **** VETS WHO DONT KNOW THEIR DUTY......
Avatar m tn The guy who committed this act said he did so in the name of Islam. As far as I am concerned, that should be the end of the discussion. This was a true act of terrorism and the guy will be prosecuted as such. Then I feel someone (probably in an elected capacity) will call this a mental health issue in an attempt to not label it as terrorism.....
Avatar n tn I send you my deepest sympathy. It is sad and hard to lose a member of your family, as I'm sure he was. He was a good dog I'm certain, and was well loved. I agree with your decision not to do a necropsy. I don't think I would want that done either, under the circumstances. Of course, without one, you would never know as an absolute fact, what he died of. He didn't suffer very long at the end, and that is a blessing I suppose.
296076 tn?1371334474 I would beat the crap out of her. Sorry. I might get in trouble for saying that but she deserves to be tortured, beaten, and then put to a brutal death. Your OWN child. God.
Avatar n tn If Dr Pernoud read just one study, he would note the impressive results obtained using both UV and glyceraldehyde to strengthen the sclera in the back of the eye (i.e. 200-500% increase in youngs modulus, 50% reductions in ultimate strain), both ex vivo and in vivo in animal models. This effect has also been shown to be long term in animals (up to 8 months so far).
Avatar f tn Sometimes an enlargement causes heart failure. In the advanced stages , failure has symptoms of varying degrees. Some people are incapacitated and find it hard to move around, but others can get by ok.
Avatar m tn my anxiety is going through the ceiling and im panicing and i just started to notice as i type this that it seems theres all of the sudden a thick coating of mucus in my throat. please help me and respond asap. do you think its rabies? or is my anxiety causing an increased sex drive and working myself up too much?
Avatar n tn t know how to function in the world and in this human culture that is so heavily predicated on our subjugation of animals. I am ashamed of my own species and I really do dislike people. My body has been giving me problems for decades. If I had an easy way to kill myself (raw cassava) I would ... I'm 58 and feel that I've spent more than enough time on this wretched planet. I know whoever is reading this is not vegan and will not understand or have an answer for me.
Avatar m tn We do know that sudden death does happen in humans and animals, and we are not implying any wrong doing by our vet (?), but this so very hard to understand.
