8 days later she went to her vet appointment and we decided to taper her off of the Keppra and also started her on Di Tan Tang. Both meds were 2 times per day until we would actually start the taper.

ve done alittle searching and cannot find Di Tan Tang available online.....Because Di Tan Tang is the Chinese version of Phenobarbital, I assume it is prescription only......

Is the oxycotin out of her system or will she have cravings for it if she gets off methadone too soon?
It sounds like the sooner she starts tapering and getting off methadone the easier it will be. How soon is too soon???? Is she already highly addicted to the
methadone. I am beginning to think the methadone route wasn't the best, but we knew nothing about her oxy addiction and she took action for help herself.
Now we all need help!!!! HELP!!!
This date seems so far away in terms of the amount of days I would still need to use. I want to quit ASAP. Can i start taking Suboxone or methadone immediately just to get me through the next few weeks until I get to rehab or will the few weeks of taking the above make my withdrawals that much more intense when i finally do detox.
Shen Tong Zhu Yu Tang and Bu Qi Zi Yin Tang. Shen Tong Zhu Yu Tang is a holistic pain reliever and is available online at various herbal web sites. Use 1/4 quarter of an adult dose twice daily. The correct name is Huang Lian in Chinese and Coptis Powder in English. It is one of the most bitter non-toxic nutritive substance's known.
Online, most of the Coptis supplement's available are in teapill form which is not powdered. You could use the capsule form if available and open the capsules to apply Coptis topically.

I have tried to encourage her to add other additional non medicinal things to her pain control effort, however she is resistant to try any because she says the sub helps it already so there is no other need to.

If you see any decline in energy or appetite loss discontinue use of the Long Dan Xie Gan Tang. A starting dose of granular concentrate of Long Dan Xie Gan Tang is 1/4 teaspoon per 10-15 pounds of body weight or 60-75mg/kg of body weight.
This would need to be used initially then switching to a milder formula such as Ban Xia Bai Zhu Tian Ma Tang is best for long term use.
Da Huo Luo Dan, and is used for Inter vertebral Disk Disease and spinal stenosis (narrowing of the spine). It should only be used in the acute phase for about 3 weeks since it can be toxic. It is for severe pain, and is contraindicated in weak animals or pregnancy. I have never used this formula because I always a little bit worried by the toxicity. I would use this very cautiously.

The latest detox is off of a significant Hydro habit but I recently (6 mo ago) detoxed off of Methadone. I personally think if you are tapering off of Suboxone you should continue or end the taper as soon as possible.....The longer you are on Methadone and Suboxone the harder and LONGER your detox will be! Trust me, you do not want to linger around either for very long.....Dr.'s love to get people on maintenance drugs but cold turkey or rapid detox is the only way.....
If spinal issues and weakness in the hind limb are also causing problems a good Chinese herbal formula is Bu Qi Zi Yin Tang. This formula is also available online and the dose would be 1/2 human adult dose twice daily.
I would only introduce one formula at a time to minimize gastrointestinal side effects.

Well second day out of detox. I don't know why my story seems to be so different than other peoples. I have no cravings at all no desire to ever take another pain Med of any kind, 4 weeks free after 18 years of abuse. The withdrawals were so bad from me jumping off the methadone, I'm pretty sure that's why I know I will never use again.
Now that all the crap they gave me at detox is leaving my system, my BP and stress level is off the charts.
