Im skipping my inactive pills and taking a week of active pills from another pack. After the “fourth week” of active pills I should get my period. My question is what do I do after that? I'm on cycle day 45, my period is 2 weeks late... I went to the doctors on cycle day 40-41 we did a pregnancy test which of course came back negative, given the fact that I haven't had sex in almost 3 years.

I trust her judgement with placing me on both of those medications, but what worries me is that it may be too much of a hormone change for my body. I know that birth control pills increase estrogen levels in the body and that spironolactone is an antiandrogen drug, and naturally the body will replace androgens with estrogen.

I'd wait. Sure you could have gotten pregnant but the pills make your period odd the first month. Technically it is supposed to start the week of placebos but mine always started around the first day of the missed pack. You can always test but I'd wait two weeks from the sex to test (as it typically takes two weeks from conception in order to show up on test) and you should get your period between there.
For about three months I've had these red rings on my upper thigh. They are just an outline of a perfect circle and aren't raised, indented, or itch.
