Avatar f tn Tri-Sprintec can affect your appearance and cause increased hair growth, loss of hair or freckling of your skin. It can cause nervousness, a headache and fatigue. These side effects are fortunately rather benign. However, they may become bothersome if they last for more than three days. In this scenario, phone your physicialo perhaps the mix is why your cramping.
Avatar f tn Since you're having repeated problems with this pill, you need to call your doctor and let them know it's not working for you. Did you get switched because of insurance? Because if you were on OTC for such a long time with no side effects than it doesn't make sense why your doc would switch you to something else.
Avatar f tn I have been taking Sprintec for almost a month now and its caused my breasts to swell and nausea so far, but those side effects have gone away. Now my vaginal area is itchy and uncomfortable and I think it might be the pills. Should I call my doctor and set up an appointment to check and make sure its the pills and nothing serious?
909257 tn?1242668182 Pain medications have numerous side effects and those who do take pain meds on a regular basis do usually have some kind of depression due to the fact that they do have chronic pain but as far as the meds causing depression or bipolar no I do not believe so.
Avatar f tn I am currently taking Tri-Sprintec, and a week before and after my period I do not have discharge. However, the other two weeks, I have excessive discharge daily. I've talked to my MD about it and she thinks that since I don't have any other crazy side effects or issues besides the discharge, then I should basically deal with it. Because If I go onto another birth control I might have worse side effects etc.
Avatar m tn I've battled acne since 5th grade, and I'm just about to turn 21 now. Yesterday my dermatologist prescribed me 25mg Spironolactone 2xD and Tri-Sprintec BCP to help clear my skin up. I trust her judgement with placing me on both of those medications, but what worries me is that it may be too much of a hormone change for my body.
1442059 tn?1340240952 I am on week one treating type A and feeling really bad side effects. I feel almost ready to do something drastic. I called the psychologist at the clinic and she said that the side effects are worse in the first week. Is this true? Or am I looking at 48wks of feeling so sick I can hardly walk and feeling like my head is going to explode never mind the crazy emotional stuff talk about the blues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don;t know if I can even tolerate this.
10370221 tn?1409648755 This sounded like a great idea to me until I went online and read stories of women who stopped taking their birth control pills. I read about all the side effects they got...weight gain, break outs, spotting, excessive bleeding, headaches, etc... I am 22 years old, so I am still prone to break outs (and I really don't want to break out more than I already do), I already have a heavy flow as it is with the pills, and lets just say I don't want to gain extra weight.
Avatar f tn Many AD's have side effects that affect the libido, guess it applies to both sex es. As far as I know all AD's have this drastic effect . Hopefully you'll find one that's OK for you . Good luck.
Avatar f tn Hello, Every pill has its own advantages and disadvantages. It may cause side effects in few while not in others. These symptoms being experienced by you can be due to hormonal fluctuations or side effects of the new pill. It may take 2-3 months for your body to adjust to the new pill. If the symptoms are severe and persistent it is suggested to contact your gynecologist and get evaluated. Your doctor may suggest an alternative drug if needed. Hope it helps. Best luck and regards!
Avatar f tn Furthermore I been having symptoms of fatigue, nausea every now and then, loss of appetite, and weight gain, but I notice this when I started to take the birth control and I thought they were just the side effects of taking it. But now I have missed two periods and I'm starting to worry. So do I need to take a pregnancy test ASAP? HELP ME PLEASE!
Avatar f tn m also quitting smoking.) He said that one of the side effects could be suicidal thoughts. I have never had these before in my life. I am scared to death that this medication is going to make me think about things like that. Does this happen to a lot of people? And, does it happen with people who don't usually have these types of thoughts?
Avatar f tn If its not the Rebif, it could very well be that you are reacting to your own situation (situational depression) or to the physical effects of the disease (chemical depression). It is well documented that depression in MS patients is very common, and it can be caused by the disease itself or the effect of knowing you have this MiSerable disease. I hope that makes sense.
Avatar f tn I have suffered through the fever, the body aches, let me make that severe muscle pains, abdominal pains, and the list goes on. The one side effect that is really worrying me is the depression. I have never been so depressed in my life. In fact I have never been what I would call depressed. I've have some really hard times but I've always been able to push through. Now I can't even get up to go to work. I cry over everything. I'm not a crier.
633143 tn?1262133535 s been having an awful time with all of them, but the side effects were all just things like being overly emotional, being nauseous, or having cramps. Her doctor put her on the Sprintec because it was cheaper. Since starting it she has become extremely fatigued to the point that she is sleeping 12+ hours a night and is tired all day long. She's horribly emotional (up and down constantly) and she's having issues with her contacts irritating her eyes.
Avatar n tn Because If not I might as well just quit now and remain putting up with major anxiety and depression. That side effect will make me depressed if it doesn't go away.
7829857 tn?1401192659 I have been on Sovaldi, Olysio and Riboviron for 4 weeks. I am finding that I feel very poorly with a laundry list of noxious symptoms. I feel very alone since my docs said that the side effect profile would be very tolerable. Many years ago I was on interferon and riboviron but could not tolerate the tx. I don't know if it is the roboviron that is causing the side effects. At this point I am pretty much bed-ridden. Is there anyone out there with a similar experience?
Avatar f tn I was on the pill (Tri-Sprintec) for 4 years.. No side effects, but because I'm OCD, I never missed a pill. It did, however take me awhile to get pregnant once I stopped taking it!
Avatar f tn ) So I guess my question is if this is side effects from my new birth control. And i took an at home pregnancy test today, which came back negative, but it was a dollar general brand 1$ test. :| Help please!?! Note: I know I'm 17 so I shouldn't be in this forum but the posts in the teen pregnancy forum dont get very many answers.
Avatar f tn I want to preface I have been diagnosed with depression years ago by two separate doctors. Recently I have gone untreated due to job loss and unemployment, no income. I missed day 21 of my pill (tri-sprintec) and have had some odd symptoms since. I had unprotected sex the night I forgot the pill. I took the pill the next day, around 16 hours late. Two days later I felt very painful cramping, mostly around my uterus but it also felt like it could have been one of my ovaries, the right side.

Avatar m tn Hi there! Well, I've been on Effexor for over ten years. Started at a very low dose and I am at 150 mg for a long time now. So, I can't say if I remember all the side effects I had. But I will say that I definitely got sick to my stomach if I didn't eat immediately before taking it. This went away after a week or so as my body adjusted to the medication. I believe that the jitters and anxious feeling is all part of your anxiety.
Avatar n tn Doing so can cause major withdrawals and horrible side effects. I have a link that tells you all about seroquel. I do not reccomend you read it, as it will only scare you off it. I did not even look closely at the page. But I will leave it up to you. Blessings - Blu http://www.rxlist.com/seroquel-side-effects-drug-center.
Avatar f tn do all of these crappy (literally) side effects EVER fade??? ive only been on the combined treatment for a month now....it just seems to b getting worse...the vomitting, crapping, fatigue, body aches, head aches, raw throat and mouth....i just hate to ask my docs for all kinds of meds....just wondering if it gets better closer to the one year marker????
411389 tn?1230124477 For me, to have some relief from the severe depression made the side effects more than bearable, they are nothing in comparison.
Avatar f tn Hi everyone, I'm usually on the Maternal and Child Health forum because I had a baby girl last year. But my question is more about women's health so, here I am :) I'm on birth control pills called Tri-sprintec. It's the generic of Ortho Tri-cyclen. I stopped taking them for a little while partly because my partner and I really have no time to be intimate and it's hard for me to remember to take them everyday. Anyhow, I started taking them again two months ago.
