I used to take tri-lo-sprintec tablet generic for (ortho tri-cyclen LO) for the past 6 six years, but in Michigan we do not have it in generic form anymore. Therefore this month i started taking Eth estradi/norgestimate and I feel very lazy and sleepy all the time and I see that I have been gaining weight. My question is is what I am taking now the same as what I was taking before because that is what the pharmacy told me?
Then I started Chateal and for a few weeks I felt great, then it went downhill. Now I am on Sprintec, and it is not going well.

- April 16th started taking Lessina, saw improvement immediately (began a week before period).
- Had a period from April 21st to May 7th.
- Spotting from June 23rd to August 5th (about 42 days)

Tri-Sprintec typically causes nausea, bloating, stomach cramps, breast pain, vaginal discharge, menstrual irregularities and changes in your appetite and weight. Tri-Sprintec can affect your appearance and cause increased hair growth, loss of hair or freckling of your skin. It can cause nervousness, a headache and fatigue.
I was on a triphasic pill for years (Tri Sprintec). It was good for keeping acne under control (which is why I originally went on it at age 20). But in the last few years I began suffering from extreme fatigue, lots of water retention, vaginal dryness, etc, and as all my tests were normal my PCP suggested the pill was causing it.
I went off the pill completely 4 months ago and about 2 months after started experiencing extremely oily skin and massive hair shedding, among other things.

I know this was almost 6 years ago but did you ever figure out if the sprintec is what caused the vainal itch?
I am 28 and have been on lo estrin (junel fe, the generic actually) for like a year. Since I have been on it, my period has been regular, till November. I started having sex with this guy in November, unprotected, no pulling out or anything. Well then my period didnt come that month.
It's Feb. 16th, my last period was exactly 3 months ago Nov. 16th.
I have had a ton of urine tests. At home and at the doctors. All negative. One blood test like a month ago, also negative.
Is tri-sprintec a bc pill? If so, you likely confused your body by going on and then off, I wouldn't worry too much. If you still dont get your period in a week test again.
BTW- just because he didn't come in you doesn't mean you cant be pregnant, there is pre-*** and it can get you pregnant. If you dont want to be pregnant get on some bc and stay on it.
About 3 months ago, I asked if there was a cheaper alternative because I was paying $50 a month for Ortho Lo. I started taking Tri-Sprintec, a generic version with increased estrogen.) I missed my period the second month and in the last week of the third month I started experiencing a lot of anxiety and depression. I have never experienced these things before in my life. I went to the doctor immediately and they chose to put me back on the Ortho Lo.
I just started using the birth control Sprintec a week ago. I had a stroke on Monday. I cannot walk well, but other than that I have recovered quickly. I will be 20 on Saturday. I am only 19. I want to know how many others are out there who have taken sprintec and either had a TIA or a stroke due the birth control...is there anyone else?
i thought maybe thats normal...idk..in march i went back to the docs and they gave me sprintec 28..i started it on the 20th of march..the day after i stopped beeding..according to the pills i was supoosed to start my period on or around april 10...i started my period on the 14th...its now the 12th of may...i was really hoping for a bfp..but it was neg...any advice...a chance..any advice,thoughts,,..
I'm taking Sprintec birth control. Ive been on it for about 7 months now. On this pill pack, I missed the very first active pill on week 1, and took it the next morning. I usually start on a sunday, but I took the pill on that Monday. That Thursday, I was with my long distance boyfriend for the weekend and we had sex 4 times. He wore a condom every time, but I'm still scared. Could I be pregnant?
I've been on sprintec for 4 months and for the first 3 had no period. But now I've had my period for 3 weeks it slowed down for a day and I had sex. Then it came back. After two weeks I stopped with my pills and it has only gotten worse. I don't know what to do I'm weak and cranky all the time.

I trust her judgement with placing me on both of those medications, but what worries me is that it may be too much of a hormone change for my body. I know that birth control pills increase estrogen levels in the body and that spironolactone is an antiandrogen drug, and naturally the body will replace androgens with estrogen. I'm scared that my already slow metabolism will slow down further with these medications and that I'll gain weight that I worked so hard to lose.

I'm on birth control pills called Tri-sprintec. It's the generic of Ortho Tri-cyclen. I stopped taking them for a little while partly because my partner and I really have no time to be intimate and it's hard for me to remember to take them everyday. Anyhow, I started taking them again two months ago.
Duvanta is not listed as an American drug so you can't know what it is used for. Also I don't know that India has an equivalent for the FDA so it may vary in strength and contents.
The generic name for Cymbalta is Duloxetine Hydrochloride so Kitty may be getting Cymbalta but the same concern applies as listed above.
I've been on Sprintec birth control for 6 months and never had this problem till now.
I have always started my period 3 days after I started taking the white pill. Right now I'm on the last week of my blue pills and I've started cramping and spotting a little. I'm not sure if it's normal or not to start your period a week early while on birth control or not because it's never happened to me until now.
