Avatar f tn But I think your doctor really should guide you on this. How long were you on this particular pill before covid and this irregularity?
Avatar f tn I've been on Sprintec for over 6 months now and have had issues with random heavy spotting for about 3.5 months now. The spotting seems to just start out of nowhere at times, although I have noticed that the spotting will occur when I am more stressed (other times it will just happen when I'm not stressed at all). I've tried to be really consistent about taking my pill at the same time every single night, so I'm unsure what would cause me to spot so frequently and heavily.
Avatar f tn t keep my skin under control without being on the pill, so I saw my gyn and she suggested I might feel better if I have a steady dose of hormones instead of the varying levels Tri Sprintec provided. She prescribed Sprintec, which I will be starting next week. Could you help me understand the difference of how these two similar pills work? I know they are the same hormones, but how much do the levels differ?
Avatar f tn The birth control pill I take is Tri-Sprintec (28 day pill) and it has been consistent with my menstrual cycle, but I'm not sure if that means it will be effective on pregnancies as well. I take my pill consistently at the same time, every day. So am I pregnant?!
Avatar n tn m eighteen and recently got my wisdom teeth taken out so I had to take anti-biotics for a week and the doctor told me if would interfere with my oral contraceptives, Sprintec (norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol tablets, 0.250 mg/0.035 mg). I got the antibiotics at the same time as I started my new pack of birth control and took them both for the first week of my cycle, and I used protection until the next week when my antibiotics ran out (because, of course, things happen).
Avatar m tn I want to know how many others are out there who have taken sprintec and either had a TIA or a stroke due the birth control...is there anyone else?
Avatar f tn However between the 19th until now (June 10th) I have had unprotected sex. I’ve read a lot of contradictory information online regarding how long I was protected for after my last placebo pill. Should I test for pregnancy?
Avatar m tn i want to know if retro-screening very effective for HIV test.
Avatar f tn m 16, and not ready for a child but I am sexually active. I have been faithfully on my birth control (Tri-Sprintec) for around 7 months. I was diagnosed with strep throat 4 days ago and was prescribed amoxicillin. My doctor said there was a chance the anti-biotic could decrease my birth control's effectiveness. I'm on my period and my boyfriend and I did the deed last night and this morning. We did not use a condom and he did not ejaculate at all.
1831269 tn?1317953566 Yes, it's possible you may be pregnant. Any time you have sex, especially unprotected, there is always a chance of pregnancy. Depending on how your body reacts to coming off of birth control you may ovulate very soon after, or it may take a while. I see that you are 19, so I am curious to know if you are in college? have a stable income? in a stable, very long-term relationship? live on your own? have health insurance? a car?
Avatar f tn Hi Kay, Here is something you may find intresting Tri-Sprintec contains female hormones and therefore alters your female gynecological symptoms. Tri-Sprintec typically causes nausea, bloating, stomach cramps, breast pain, vaginal discharge, menstrual irregularities and changes in your appetite and weight. Tri-Sprintec can affect your appearance and cause increased hair growth, loss of hair or freckling of your skin. It can cause nervousness, a headache and fatigue.
Avatar f tn My birth control is the Sprintec 28 day pack and I believe it is the high dose. I should be on my period this week but I am now a few days late. While on my pill I have always started that Sunday or Monday but it is now Wednesday and I don't feel any signs of my period. I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it said negative but I am still worried. I have been taking my pills regularly at about the same time every day. Could I be pregnant? What so I do?
Avatar n tn It is less effective when you take it at diffrent times. Because it is a hormone your body expects it regularly. When you don't take it at the same time every day it throws off your system. Take a test if you miss your period. Any test you take now will not be accurate because you are not far enough along if you are pregnant. Good luck.
Avatar f tn I've recently gone from 50mg Sertraline to 100mg sertraline about a week ago. Transition was relatively smooth apart from slight nausea. I have severe social anxiety,I feel like everyone is judging me. Causes me to be socially awkward and panic.ive decided on my own accord to take 200mg a day although should only be on 100mg. How long until I will feel socially comfortable ? Surely can't take 6 weeks like it initially does when starting anti depressant.
Avatar m tn How long does it take after gardasil is administeted until it is effective? Does one have immunity after the first shot or does the vaccine require all three shots until it is effective?
Avatar f tn I was on Ortho Tri for nine years, no problems. After switching to sprintec, the pills no longer worked. I was having periods while on the active pills and my vulva became dry and irritated (like a knife stabbing it). I can't get the pain to go away. Anyone else with this problem?
Avatar n tn My next cycle was regular 28days. One day 1 of my period I started tri-sprintec, but discontinued it after 3 pills. This month my period is now going on 5 days late and 2 pregnancy tests have been negative. Is this normal? I did have unprotected sex during this month, but my husband did not ejaculate inside of me. Please help...
Avatar f tn I don't think it is implantation bleeding but probably hormonal bleeding. I'd suspect you did risk pregnancy by not taking your pills correctly I'd wait 2.5 weeks until the last unprotected sex and go ahead and take a test. You have to take your pills as instructed or it kind of defeats the purpose. :>) We do spot when our hormones are shifting around. Implantation bleeding is more something you read about on the internet than what really happens. Spotting makes more sense.
Avatar f tn This is day is day 3 of the pills and i was wondering how long until it starts working? i am not in nearly as much pain as I was, but the pain with urination is still there slightly and get worse at night.
Avatar f tn I am on week four and I feel absolutely no improvement. Can anyone tell me how long it took for them to feel better.
Avatar f tn oops, sorry - yes, the adderall was prescribed for fatigue and I've been taking it for 3 years.
