Mine started in January, the whole month, but only with spotting. But this month, starting 3/15, I started spotting. And today I am bleeding but not heavily with some small clots. I am not on any medication just multivitamins. I do work graveyard shifts as a nurse and thought it could be stress or not eating right. Someone please help in answering our questions. I can't explain not having intercourse with my husband because I am having this problem.
Spotting between periods could be caused by uterine polyps. You should ask your gyno to do an ultrasound to rule that out before you get the IUD. The IUD helps for bleeding but only if your uterus is clear of polyps and/or fibroids. Otherwise you'll still have bleeding issues anyway even with the IUD.
I am a 20-year-old female. About 7 months ago, I began spotting between periods. It would happen once or twice a month, in the middle of my menstrual cycle, and would last 2-3 days. When I described it to her, she said it was normal and that it was because I was ovulating, and that it may have been caused by stress.
davesbgrdtruck - I wouldn't be too worried. When I had my gallbladder out last year, it took about 2-3 months to get my cycle back to normal. She did have major surgery (even if they call it minor). There are so many things that are affected after the surgery such as digestion and (sorry if TMI) but bowel movements. While her body adjusts to these changes, she will experience irregularity with her cycle.
For the last two months, I have noticed that I have bleeding/spotting between my periods. last month I did not think too much about it coz it was very light. This time it was more although I did not have to wear sanitary napkins.. But am worried. Am scared of going to the doc as well..... Can anyone tell me if this is serious?

Then I began to have vaginal spotting in between periods. Still, I have a regular menstruation. I noticed increase in discharge and a different smell. Just this week, I am having severe pain in my left iliac (lower left of the abdomen) spreading up to my left thigh, lower back and less pain on the right iliac. Even after urinating it still feels painful.
Irregular periods and spotting in between can be a sign of a hormone imbalance.
If you are not eating properly and may be anaemic that too can throw your menstrual cycle off balance as too can stress.
It was wise of you to do a pregnancy test, because sometimes you can get a light show of spotting.

For the past 10 months my period has become very Irregular and just recently (4 months) I have started having light bleeding, spotting for one-two days in between periods. For example, I had a period March 3-5 spotted on the 13th then had another period March 27- April 1. I started spotting again on April 22. I got swabbed to rule out infection & also had a Pap Smear done in March and both came back normal.

I have been addicted to tramadol for a few years, and in the past few months I have had some VERY light spotting/bleeding between periods. I have no insurance and no Dr. I am concern as to whether tramadol can cause cancer of the liver. I also have pain, (not severe, more dull and annoying than anything) in the liver area. after i gave birth to twins at 21 wks, i had my regular periods and i did have some spotting/bleeding in between as well. all normal. and after my mc i bleed for about 2 and 1/2 wks, and still my periods lasted a lil bit longer as well i went to the doc both times about this and it was all normal, and my doc never told me to come back after a week, he said that since my bleeding lasted so long that was good, he checked me and no d and c.
