Spotting between periods could be caused by uterine polyps. You should ask your gyno to do an ultrasound to rule that out before you get the IUD. The IUD helps for bleeding but only if your uterus is clear of polyps and/or fibroids. Otherwise you'll still have bleeding issues anyway even with the IUD.
after i gave birth to twins at 21 wks, i had my regular periods and i did have some spotting/bleeding in between as well. all normal. and after my mc i bleed for about 2 and 1/2 wks, and still my periods lasted a lil bit longer as well i went to the doc both times about this and it was all normal, and my doc never told me to come back after a week, he said that since my bleeding lasted so long that was good, he checked me and no d and c.
I think you should wait at least two months for your period because it may take some time to have your period after a miscarriage. My period came 81 days after my D&C, and my periods are very regular. Anyway, everyone one is different.
After a miscarriage will have have a period after 4-6 weeks.

Mine period came after 24 days and it was a much ligher/shorter period cycle and now it's more heavier, but it's still within the normal range.
I would see ur doctor if ur concerned.

I have been try to conceive for the past 3 years and have had 2 early miscarriages that I know of. The first was in April 06 and the second was in June 07. After the 2nd miscarriage I had some blood tests and my TSH came back at 11. I was retested 3 months later and it had come down on its own to 7.27. As I am trying to concive my doctor prescribed 50mcg Levothyroxine and I started taking this in September 07. My TSH was retested again in Nov 07 and it was at 1.
For the last two months, I have noticed that I have bleeding/spotting between my periods. last month I did not think too much about it coz it was very light. This time it was more although I did not have to wear sanitary napkins.. But am worried. Am scared of going to the doc as well..... Can anyone tell me if this is serious?

After I gave birth i got my peroiod after 2 months later in October. A month after my period i noticed some light pink blood after i wiped. This happened on the 14 day after my period. This happened a couple of time only on the 14th day and then nothing. I had seen my doctor and he told me that it could be my hormones. I also had blood work done and everything came ou normal.Well now my baby is 7 months and 2 months ago i didn't spot.
Mine started in January, the whole month, but only with spotting. But this month, starting 3/15, I started spotting. And today I am bleeding but not heavily with some small clots. I am not on any medication just multivitamins. I do work graveyard shifts as a nurse and thought it could be stress or not eating right. Someone please help in answering our questions. I can't explain not having intercourse with my husband because I am having this problem.
I had really light spotting for a day or so the month between when I should have had af. I was concerend the week before I got mine and called my doc but he said it differs from person to person and to wait it out a little longer. But then again it is possible that you got preggers already : ) I'd go take a test if I were you : ) best of luck!
I have experienced everything of what 44wannabeamomagn has. I had a miscarriage in May 2009 & another in October 2009, both were done D&C. I had normal periods after that maybe a little spotting in between at first which I know the doctors said is normal. However, last month I had my period & I spotted a few days after that for a few days. Went to get tested at the local clinic & it came back negative. I had a horrible headache last night that I just got rid of a few hours ago.
Irregular periods and spotting in between can be a sign of a hormone imbalance.
If you are not eating properly and may be anaemic that too can throw your menstrual cycle off balance as too can stress.
It was wise of you to do a pregnancy test, because sometimes you can get a light show of spotting.

I am a 20-year-old female. About 7 months ago, I began spotting between periods. It would happen once or twice a month, in the middle of my menstrual cycle, and would last 2-3 days. The blood was light brown in color. After this happened a couple times, I went to see a gynecologist. When I described it to her, she said it was normal and that it was because I was ovulating, and that it may have been caused by stress.
Then on 28th September started periods till 3rd Oct. Exactly the day after my periods finished had sharp pains on both right and left side. Ive had several days of pinching pains from right side. We were told we cud start trying after 1 period. I dont know wgen my O day is now my cycle is out if whack.
uhh.. well there's always the chance it could be implantation spotting : ) that or it just takes a while to get things back in order, which i learned the hard way, since we weren't patient and proceeded right afterwards with more injectables..we got preg with IUI and currently on our last IUI (2nd once since mc, but 5th total) before heading to IVF! so scared about the IVF process! its such an emotional, financial investment esp if it doens't work!
