He says she will talk in few months after attending few sessions, however, i dont see any change in my daughter after attending 5 sessions also. My son has sensory integration disorder and the two things that were noticed first were his speech and tripping. He was three. He was evaluated by an occupational therapist and has been doing OT since being diagnosed with sensory. He is now 6 and doing really well. Just thought I'd throw sensory into the mix for you to check out and see what you think.

Im gonna be 6 months pregnant. And i gotta find a job. But alot of people are telling me that noone is gonna hire me . Because im. Prego and only have a few more months to go.. is it worth looking for work or should i keep trying anyways.?

What type of speech/language delay does she have? Has she had a speech/language evaluation -- if so, how delayed is she? I'm not familiar with a body of literature that identifies a causal relationship between gastroesophageal reflux disease or laryngopharyngeal reflux disease specifically with speech delay. I'm interested to hear your answers and I'll keep up with this discussion.

Yes, repeated infections can have an impact on hearing. Your son's development of speech/language is definitiely delayed, and this warants evaluation by a Speech/Language therapist. But an audiological evaluation is crucial, because it is possible that the delay in speech is secondary to hearing loss.

Maybe you need to see a speech therapist for an eval and go from there.

I have not heard about Neuroaid until now (especially that it is not approved, yet). I googled this, and what I saw was that it is some kind of newly developed drug that is produced in China. Although there is some research being run now to test the effectiveness of this drug, I found an article about this drug (see the link). Based on the literature, this drug is being used in China in patient with brain injuries such as stroke 48 hours following a stroke.

We are involved in Early Intervention but at this point the speech therapist is not involved. I think I will talk to them about bringing the therapist in to help him further. I think the head size concerns me more than the speech delay. It's so frustrating when you don't know what's wrong. My son's birth weight was 6 lbs 2 oz. His birthmom also smoked cigarettes during her pregnancy so that's what we accounted his small size to.
