This also happens when talking. I have started to mix letters, and occasionally forget articles or use plural/singular incorrectly. The other day I heard the word "joke" and could not remember what I meant, it had no meaning to me. When reading I have noticed that I read one word instead of the one that is written (this doesn't happen that often). I am positive that I am not dyslexic. My memory is also really bad but I was never as bad as it is now.

This is a very interesting article, although I haven't found whatever articles this one is based on. It describes a condition that could be the underlying vascular dysfunction that results in Fibromyalgia, but it still doesn't answer the question of what causes this dysfunction. Seems to me that if it's a vascular problem, the trigger is most likely an infection or a toxin or perhaps a combination of both, along with a certain genetic type of immune system.
s thyroiditis have tongue issues that has/had an impact on your speech? I have the scalloped appearance to my tongue, a swollen feeling near the back and underneath the tongue which affects my speech. Did the thyroid meds fix the problem and if so, how long did it take?
If you feel the speech problem exists, then perhaps you should get a speech evaluation from a speech therapist. They can either tell you all is well or help you improve your speech thru therapy. Killing oneself is pretty extreme. There are those out there with much worse conditions that persevere daily and are glad they are able to do that. Perhaps you are over thinking all of this and need to take a deep breathe and look at it from another angle. I hope you can find some peace in this.
Mom had a massive stroke in July affecting her right side and speech. We want to "work" with her but dont know what to do. Any ideas would be great. She talks a little bit but it seems like the words get stuck. Id like to do fun things with her but dont want to discourage her in any way shape or form.
Looking for ideas on physical therapy although she is over weight and stuck in a wheel chair. she can only move her left side.
She would want to rule out vocal fold nodules or other problems. She would need a doctor referral to a speech pathologist who provides voice therapy, which offers treatment. There are some articles on good vocal hygiene to try in the meantime.
went to a gastroenterologist thinking it might be from reflux, he did a endoscopy,it was not that, i saw my gynecologist ,he gave me a higher dose of my estrogen patch which helped hot flashes, but still have burning mouth ,saw the dentist who did implants he gave me a bottle of patented zinc mouthwash with oxygene, it does not help, i have read many articles online abouth burning mouth, i know they dont know what causes it.i dont know who i should see next.

So, around this time last year I experienced tingling in my left hand that lasted for a few days, coupled with extreme fatigue. Days later, I developed nystagmus only upon waking that lasted for about 10 minutes or so. That eventually went away after about a month. About six months later I had a severe headache that migrated to my right eye and lasted for over a week. Went to an optometrist, no optic neuritis.
and most recently Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, both of which I have been diagnosed with. In these two cases, the articles did not speak of Gray Matter lesions, but of a significant loss of Gray Matter volume. Interesting!
Over the years it has progressed blenned vision bad fatigue excercise intolerance slowed speech digestive issues etc. I have lesions on my brain from an mri. Had so many blood tests all fine including lymes. Been to so many different doctors now i am told it may be Dysautonomia. The thing is they want another 10 expensive blood tests and a tilt table test. I dont pass out. Your thoughts?
Pathology report shows infiltrating mammary carcinoma, no special type, low combined histologic grade, Low proliferative rate with apocrine cytology, measuring at least 6MM in greatest extent (best measrued on P63 IHC Slide) Calponin and P63 show absence of myoepithelial cells int he neoplastic tubules, consistent with an invasive interpretation. Immunohistochemical studies for estrogen receptor and progesteron receptor are negative.

You can still request that your slides be read by another Pathology Lab. If you aren't seeing a Breast Specialist I suggest that you do so and this might help clear things up for you. I'm sure you are more than aggravated at how things have gone in the past. I'm not sure why the ADH wouldn't show up on Excisional Biopsy unless the area was so small that it was removed by the previous needle procedure/ OR/ the Excisional Biopsy did not include the area of ADH.
Dr. Hagan- I've noticed that you have been interested in and have responded to many people who complain of visual snow like symptoms. I have a question pertaining to it that I was hoping you would comment on.
I'm a healthy 23yo male with a history of odd visual symptoms for the past 2-3 years. Most of them are centered around entoptic like phenomena (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entoptic_phenomenon) and spontaneous flashes/afterimages (for a detailed description, see my past posts).
Please consult doctor or get the X ray cervical spine done to rule out cervical pathology. Avoid thick pillows too and also get your blood pressure checked.

On a side note, PET/CT is rarely used to stage bladder cancer. On a PET/CT, the urinary system including bladder normally appears black (metabolic uptake), obscuring everything within it, making it difficult to detect underlying pathology.
PET/CT is used more for staging/restaging lymphoma, breast cancer, etc.

Really very sorry to hear that. From your question it appears as though there is a pathology in brain--like aneurysm, hematoma etc due to injury. I am sure MRI must have been done after and before surgery. What do the reports say? Have you consulted a senior neurologist?
A more detailed information about medical reports and Neurologist's opinion will be very helpful.
