724811 tn?1291430786 Have you tried a good Liquid whole food source of vitamins....liquids are easier to absorb and with a whole food source, even easier. Are you also taking calcium and vit D? Maybe you can research and find that in liquid form as well. Some drs are using strontium to build and strengthen bones.

535822 tn?1443976780 try capsules instead, and make sure you buy them in a good health food store, not a drug store, and not store brands or discount vitamins -- these tend to use the worst fillers and binders and the least absorbable forms of minerals.
Avatar f tn t diet, because as soon as you stop, the weight will come back. Start a healthy way of eating that you can stick with the rest of your life. Whole grains, fruits, protein, etc. think lean and low carbs.
1504850 tn?1290289880 Red sauces such as spaghetti sauce with noodles is a great source of iron. Drinking juice with your food instead of milk helps. Eating cereal without milk helps. Stay away from dairy when eating your iron rich foods. Also, she had liquid iron to take everyday in her juice. Vitamin C helps the body to absorb the iron. Oatmeal has lots of iron. Hopefully, you will get your iron levels up to where they need to be.
Avatar f tn Is it normal for the prenatal vitamins to make your stomach feel like butterflies?
535822 tn?1443976780 See the human body works well, when you are getting too much of a particular vitamin or mineral you just flush it out. This will usually cause diarhea, colored urine, upset stomach. The best way to avoid this is to find what dosage is right for you and go with separate vitamins and minerals and maybe combine this with a cheap multi that haves extremely low doses.
Avatar f tn My suggestion is to take a Whole Food source multiple right now, so your body can absorb it a little easier. When my body is stressing I take a liquid source so I know it is absorbing more....pills are much harder to break down.
Avatar n tn I like Garden of Life vitamin code raw prenatal. It is organic, from whole food source, non gmo. Has natural folate instead of lab created folic acid which can be toxic to your system. Also Nordic Naturals Algae Omega for EPA AND DHA important for babies brain development! VITACOST.COM HAS these at better price than most places!
Avatar f tn I have been taking Nature's Plus Source of Life prenatal liquid, and love it. A rare find that doesn't make me sick. No Dha in that one. Good luck, sorry for your trouble!
Avatar f tn I want to switch my prenatal vitamins and was wondering does it matter if they both have the same vitamins in them
Avatar f tn I quit all of my liquid pills because they have soy. I went to a vitamin store and they have soy free. Also, don't take vitamins within four hours of thyroid meds. I read that too many vitamins for hypos who haven't achieved higher-end frees can result in a buildup of vitamins in the body. Until I get my frees to optimum level, I am sticking to the basics: Magnesium, D, B12, and Selenium.
Avatar f tn Beware of GNC vitamins....I am so mad about this....I can't take Cellulose in any form and got some B-12 that the bottle states there is no cellulose, then looked online and it listed Cellulose and Dicalcium Carbonate as ingredients that WERE NOT on the bottle!!!! I also found out it is synthetic B-12.....I am new to the vitamin game, but glad I did some homework. I called GNC and they said they would "take care of it" and offered me a $15 coupon. Wow.
Avatar f tn Purintans Pride has a liquid calcium. 600 mg of calcium. 300 of magnesium and phosphorus. and 300 iu of vitamin D. Comes in orange or blueberry flavor. I have ordered from them and they are said to be reputable. www.puritan.com www.drugstore.com has a liquid called...wellesse. It appears to be inexpensive. it has 1000 mg of calcium, 1000 iu of vitamin d and 200 mg phosphorus. I don't know anything about these folks. It has a 4.5 star review with 23 reviews listed. 2 tablespoons.
Avatar n tn Vitafol Fe is what I was prescribed but that's because I'm anemic. But there are plenty of them out there and mine gave me samples of 4-5 to see which one worked best.
Avatar f tn Some of the lesser-grade vitamins are very poorly absorbed. The best type of multivitamin is a LIQUID SOFTGEL. I use "Nature Made" Brand Multivitamin "for her" (Women) which is a liquid-filled softgel; this is one of the best vitamins you can take. Usually a liquid-softgel will be better absorbed by your body than a tablet. For NATURAL stress relief you will find both Calcium and Magnesium to be very beneficial.
4430052 tn?1355003242 You can take 2 regular chewable or gummy vitamins instead of the prenatals, I have prenatal vitamins and dha softgels but sometimes I just can't do them so I eat 2 fintstones vitamins
Avatar f tn -) very gentle on tummy bc they are liquid gels and my pb was very happy and impressed with my choice on those she said they are a great brand :-)
Avatar f tn Hey ladies just a small question! So the prenatal vitamins I am currently taken prescribed by my doctor are absolutely awful! I cannot take them without gaging and throwing up. I feel sick about an hour later and it lasts throughout the whole day. I've been doing research about different vitamins I could take and I found the most best one seems to be belly bar which is a chewable prenatal vitamin. But I was wondering if anyone takes other vitamins that isn't a huge horse pill?
4444857 tn?1383325813 Has anyone ever tasted or had to take liquid iron? I have low iron and since I don't take pills I have to do liquid..
Avatar f tn I am also on anti-depressants. Are there any health foods or safe suppliments anyone has tried. Those of you who made it off your meds how long did it take to feel"perky" again. I am not sleepy just slow and everything is an extra effort. I just want to thank all you you who are here offering support. I check in many times during the day just to help me keep on track and see that so many of you are doing so well.
Avatar f tn I was tired and my boobs hurt like heck and I had no appetite and I lost weight. I ran out of vitamins and started a new vitamins. They made me sick. The first two days I was extremely nauseous the most I have been (I'm in my 2nd trimester now) They next day i took them and i threw up everything. That's the first time I had thrown up the entire pregnancy. My iron is now dropping from not taking vitamins or being able to keep them down...
Avatar m tn I was wondering if anyone has any concrete evidence that the L-Arginine especially has any negative effects on my condition (causes/exacerbates) breakouts etc. I also currently use vitamin E liquid topically and have been trying to live as healthy a life style as possible. I like taking the L-arginine for the muscle building properties but I am willing to stop taking it if it makes my HPV worse.
