Lips were chapped and mouth felt, not fresh, a small sore throat which went away, and a small sore on the side of my tongue. when examining the sore i realized it was caused from my tongue rubbung against my teeth due to it being elevated because the swollen tissue underneath. Examining it more i noticed depending on how i moved my tongue i would involuntarily "gleek" (squirting saliva). The ducts also seem to be red, however they may have always been.
A few months ago my salivary glands became swollen to point I couldn't swallow. After medicine they went down, but never completely went back to normal. About two months ago my tongue began to get white-ish in the center, coupled with occasional morning sore throats. Now, on top that, pink patches are forming on my tongue (almost replacing the white-ish) and I have a foul taste in the back of my mouth. I'm not completely sure what is going on, nor why.
noticed inflammed, swollen/irritated papillae under tongue (both sides of tongue and also under front of tongue also). Salivary glands swollen. Not resolving ... getting chills every so often ... feeling cold every so often also ... trying to see an ENT ..they are so busy in Canada ... approx 2 months to see one .... Help !!!

Hi, last night I began having a strange type of pain under my tongue on the right side at the base of the mouth - the pain feels similar to a sore throat, but my throat isn't sore. I don't have a fever or swollen lymph glands. Also the pain hasn't gotten worse. I can only feel the pain if I move the tongue up or if I swallow a large amount of food. My throat doesn't have any swelling or redness or whiteness, my voice is still the same, ears are fine and gums are fine.
My tonsils are a little swollen and a little sore, with some minor white flecks. The glands on the side of my next are just slightly swollen, but not really sore. Also, I've been somewhat congested lately, but I have no other symptoms of illness/cold/allergies.
I'm pretty sure this is directly related to the stressful situation I've been in, so basically I'm just trying to figure out what treatment I should seek. I've been gargling and wiping down the tonsils.
I'm recently waiting for results back fromSTI screening in the mean while I have a cancer on my tongue which Ive always gotten. but hear recently I've noticed that my left tonsil is enlarged and not hurting when I swallow I have no temp and my glands near my jaw are swollen ?????? I'mm trying not to FREAK OUT and hope that none of these symptoms are related and just a coincidence of occurances.
Then she probably has a sore throat , she will need to be seen by the doctor as she may have an infection that may need treating with anti biotics, I would say that is why she is pulling out her tongue ask him to also look at her tonsils

I had unprotected sex with a women 16 weeks ago. From week 13 to now i have had a sore throat when swallowing and also swollen glands. I have a slight coating on my tongue that i am worried is Thrush for the past week. Also got 3 tiny pimples apeared on my tongue for the past 3 days which are very sore.
I dont know much about this woman at all apart from she was 37 years old.
What are the chances these are symptoms of HIV?
This morning, it was tender again, and I still have those sore areas under my tongue and on my tongue web (that are now open, not sure if it's from irriation or not).
The guy did come down a cold, so I thought maybe I got it too and didn't have symptoms other than the swollen gland, but that wouldn't explain the sore spot or why the gland on the same side swelled at the same time that I gota sore spot.
I am neg, for both types by blood test.

- Swollen armpit glands (not individual nodes, but a general swollen feeling) for 4 weeks, starting 23 days post exposure. Is this the normal timeline for acture HIV symptoms, and is this a common one?
- Could this be related to another STD anyones aware of?
- Does the Oraquick (gum swab) test provide the 80-85% accuracy at 4 weeks some people seem to be claiming, or does this figure only apply to blood tests?
Thanks for the replies, yes JJ I get the ulcers on my tongue (not anywhere else) just on my tongue and my glands get swollen and my throat becomes sore, then they disappear only to return again.
To Dochiru I went off my meds due to constipation but unfortunately now I am off the bladder meds I am having issues again!! So I fixed one problem but the old one is back (groan)! I was taking Vesicare for burning and bladder spasms and urgency and Gabapentin for nerve pain.
I woke up today with painful swollen glands on the right side of my neck. Tonight, I can also feel it in my ear, along with the back right side of my tongue. The pain in the glands is so sore, painful to the touch. My ear and tongue are nowhere near as painful. Any ideas or clues?

My problem is this, and took 3 months with swollen glands in the neck and jaw, I have sore groin and I have a white coating on the tongue that bothers a lot more after dinner, in addition I have a strange pain in the neck but not always, sometimes alone but sometimes will cause me severe headaches and also feel a throbbing in the body. If HIV negative tests ruled out infection, could be another sexually transmitted disease.
On top of that, I have had four consecutive huge and painful canker sores in the past month and a half, one of which I still have, and one of my lymph glands under my jaw is swollen (incidentally, the right side, and it is my right "flap" which is swollen). So it could possibly be a canker sore on the bottom of this flap, but it just seems like a weird location for one. And the chronic canker sore issue could also be a related problem...
Should I see a doctor about this?
Just wanted to ask if anyone has experienced swollen glands and itchy eyes when taking trileptal? I've only been on it now for 3wks and am currently on 75mg along with 375mg of Keppra twice daily. I don't have a rash but am wondering if this is just a cold or side effect from meds. I called the nurse yesterday at docs office they suggested being checked out by PMD, any suggestions? I dont have a fever or any other symptoms? Thanks for the feedback.
I am now at two weeks past the encounter. The whiteness on my tongue and red bumps are persisting. The swollen glands have almost gone away, but no longer have any soreness. The general "out-of-it" feeling has continued, but remains very subtle. I have been able to continue working out at the gym without any loss of energy or lifting power.
I've read too much on the Internet to have a good idea of what this may be. Oral herpes? Candida?
since, i have swollen glands which has lasted 2 weeks no fever or diarrea or vommiting or nausea but i have a sore throat and a slight cough. I also have white coating on the back of my tongue. I have a discomfort in my penis but it only happens when i am thinking about having hiv. I have no pian when i am urinating or any discharge but have been frequently urinating. i have been having a faster heartbeat than usual and somtimes have pins and needles. I have also been struggling to sleep.
Underside of my tongue and bottom of my mouth under my tongue are sore. No visible sore but it looks like the salivary glands are red.
Is it some viral thing or something else? Kind of has me worried. I've made an appointment with my regular doctor but wonder if I should be seeing a dentist instead.
