i was searching through the internet it probably a strep throat. on the 3rd day morning the sore throat was getrting a lot better but the fever is still the same and the yellow spots was there. so i decided to drink an antibiotics( cefixime)2 times a day with a paracetamol. today the fourth day the sore throat is almost gone but my fever is still there with chills and sweating a lot specially at nights with a lort of night sweats.
I had no white spots no yellow spots in my throat. Just extremely red and swollen in my throat. I had the sore throat and general malaise for a couple days. I thought I was getting better, but then nasal congestion came, stuffy nose, runny nose. Then came a really bad cough that would wake me up in the night. It would be a tickle that would trigger it. I had green thick sticky mucus. Then about a couple of days ago, I had that tickle cough, but like a coughing attack episode.
Hello, I am 10 weeks today and have a horrible sore throat. It's red and inflamed but no white spots indicating strep. I think it's from post nasal drip, I am also choking up phlegm mostly clear and light yellow. I used the netti pot twice today so far and it's helped my nose but not throat. Also tried a shot of apple cider vinegar and failed spectacularly at getting it down. I do not want to take over the counter medicine but I know you ladies will have more natural ideas.
So, I have had a sore throat for a week now. It started with a tickling throat and then developed, so I find it very hard to swallow because it really hurts, and also have trouble talking. Yesterday I started coughing and it has gotten really bad, to the point where I am coughing until I'm gagging. However, the unusual thing is it only seriously affects me in the mornings and at night. During the day it is bearable. Please help!!
I visited my boyfriend in Paris and he had a bad cough that would wake him up at night. But he didn't seem sick at all. So 6 days after being with him I got a sore throat, which turned into a sinus infection). After doing sinus irrigations, drinking a lot of hot water with apple cider vinger, and eating well for 2 weeks - I seem to be better; however, my throat is now hurting again (it never seemed to go away completely, but mostly).

i had a possible hiv exposure on 6th of jan, 2008, and i got all ARS symptoms during the past three month, including persistent sore throat (two months), rash and spots on thighs, arms, chest and neck, a stiff neck, spots on the back of the throat and tiny yellow spots on inside of my cheeks. I went back to India from Canada in Feburay and got test at 6th and 8th week (Elisa thrid generation) and both test came back negative. On Ist april i.e.
I am not sure if i have oral thrush or gerd. I have had acid reflux in the past but i never really looked at my throat until now. It seems to be more yellow than white. I am also not sure what that white line near the roof of my mouth is but the white has been there literally for years. I'd say 2-3 years..so i am not as much concerned with that as i am with the yellow/reddish spots on my throat.
Following all this, the back of my throat and tonsils have continuously been red and inflamed. I have a sore throat that comes and goes, one lymph node in my neck that's been swollen for over 3 months, and now a white discharge from the back of my throat. This discharge smells bad, and after mixing with my saliva for the entire day, coats my tongue whitish/yellow.
Looking at by throat my tonsils are not swollen and no red spots or white/yellow pus noticeable. No fever or rash present just the first few days of the sore throat had some lymph nodes both side of jaw which would inflame sporadically then seem to return to normal.
I do plan to get tested at 30 days but as I did have a potential exposure just kinda freaking out over the sore throat as it won't go away.

I have a sore throat (feels like swallowing razor blades) & when I shone a flashlight I could see my pharynx looks slightly larger and there appears to be faint yellow spots on pharynx.

A week ago I found a red, painless sore on the underside of my penis near the frenulum, on the inner foreskin. It's a bit painful when I touched it, and there's some pale-yellowish pus inside the sore. The pus-filled area looked raised with a definite, flat border. My symptoms are-

My cough is worse now than in the beginning but still dry and unproductive.

12 days ago I got a little sore throat, and not like scratchy... but more of a pain when eating or swallowing. Nothing bad, so I just didn't pay attention. i hoped the 7 wk (47th day) test to be good but to my horror i developed a dry throat on the morning of the 46th day (one day prior) which became a mild sore throat (right side) with a couple of tender whitish spots on the right side of the throat(the spots vanished in less than 48 hrs). I had an oral encounter with a male a couple weeks ago, and for the last couple of days, I have had a scratchiness at the back of my throat and a tickle at the back of my throat making me cough regularly. of symptoms mentioned on your page, how sore does the sore throat need to be (can hardly speak and swallow, or just vaguely irritating) and how high does the fever need to be, to be indicative of a possible infection?
How would you rate the following symptoms after intercourse with a prostitute (but condom-protected)?
Cough and sneeze starting 10 days after, sore throat starting 13 days after but lasting until today (19 days after the incident). Not really painful, but annoying.
