I have been experiencing neck pain below my thyroid on the left side for 2 moths, suddenly the sore neck went into one side of my throat and ear Left side. It gets worse after 5-6 pm and I have to take serious pain meds to get it to calm down. I feel like I have the flu or something But I have no fever and no other symptoms. Covid tests all negative. My doctor put my on a huge dose of augmentin and it’s not helping.
I've posted in you forum before I had a possible exposer on OCT 22 07. I had a sore throat since about a mounth after with possible swollen lymps groin and neck with a pain in my lower right abs. I have been tested viral and rapid and blood since and rapid twice after the 90 day deal. The pain in my neck and sore troat will not subside . At over 100 days since possible exposer if the sore throat was due to acute HIV would I get a positive test for sure.

It appears in the alternate days, one day after the other. I had a sore throat for the first time in the recent times on 13th of last month and it was there for 4-5 days and it cured without any treatment. Now it again started appearing from 26th of last month. It is not continuous appears usually during the afternoon hours. But today i had it right from 11 in the morning. My throat has been sore for almost a month now. There has not been much discomfort expect for the few odd days. It just looks a fairly red and sore. There are no bumps or puss associated with this. Though on the side of my cheek (inside my mouth) on the left side I can see a small circle where the top layer is skin is gone, but again no real signs of bumps, sores etc so I don't know if it's related.
Overall, I have thought this could be a viral form of tonsillitus.
Am 20 years old and viral infections has been following me for as long as long as i can remember. I always gone to the doctor though because my body cannot fight a sore throat on its own. Its like every other month am in the doctors because it hurts to swallow or it burns . It gets annoying and i know they say your body can fight off viral bacterias i see that my body has difficulty doing so; i always wanted to get rid of my tonsils but my doctor says there is no need.
One week after the encounter, I developed a sore throat with white spots on the back of my throat and tonsils. I ran a slight fever, and my throat became swollen for the next couple of days. I seen two different doctors during this viral infection and both called it a case of pharyngitis and I was given some steroids to help with the inflammation. The infection completely cleared in one week. My question is if I could have contracted oral herpes from the girl?
Your sore throat is most likely a co-incidence or perhaps a non-STD viral sore throat you got through the encounter you describe or through interactions with someone else, You are not at risk for HSV-1 from her because you already have cold sores. As for other STDs like gonorrhea, they are not transmitted by kissing, even deep french kissing. Your test results confirm that you do not have STD - nothing to worry about. Take care.

ve got all the same symptoms and now sinus problems on top of that - really sore throat, tickly cough and mucus coming out of throat and nose (often bloody mucus from nose).
What is going on!?!? Do my symptoms sound similar to anyone else's? I can't keep going back to doctors as I never get anywhere with them. I just don't seem to be getting any better though?

This includes gargling with salt water, drinking warm tea, extra fluids in general, extra rest and ibuprofen or Tylenol. But viral sore throats usually resolve on their own within 7 days, fyi. Bacterial sore throats require a trip to the doctor.

In your case,I feel it can be caused by coxsackie virus. This virus causes a disease known as herpangina.It is most common during the summer. Mines really bad, I managed to catch a viral bug which made me sick and gave me a very high temperature. Ended up in hospital for 2 days on a drip because I was dehydrated and couldn't keep any food or drink down myself. Thankfully I'm out now and everything's ok with the baby but my throat is so sore and I'm constantly coughing.
I went to my primary care, after a neurological exam as well as examining my throat she determined it was viral and that was the cause of my headaches. My throat is now hurting and I can see sores on the inside of my mouth and throat, I have a low grade fever and am a bit tired. Has anyone else experienced these headaches with an HSV1 outbreak? Anything will help, just trying to figure it out. Thanks in advance.
The only thing I can remember is about 6 months before, having a very sore throat and high temperature but only for about week. Ever since I have had recurring sore throats, muscle weakness, joint pain, every so often I get a swollen lymph nodes, which sting but not redness, feel tired all the time, and get tired from things like pushing a trolly around the supermarket or walking the stairs!
I am going back to Doctors as it has been a few months since my last tests and I am fed up.
