I m having ear pain and sore throat and also have sore mouth, my tounge, upper area of mouth and also hav pain behind the ears...been like this for a week now. I m worried as I had a pap smear wich came back with hpv and ascus and I also hav large fibroids wich I m getting treatment for. My great worry now is that is this sore throat related to hpv as hpv can also cause head and neck cancer. I will be glad if someone can help me on it.
My symptoms include swollen lymph node on my right side, very horrible sore throat, puffy eye lids, and also my ears clog up like when I'm up in an airplane, and I can't really hear anything. Ive already been to the doctor's and I tested negative for strep, but would you think I have mono? Someone please help me, I can't really talk or eat that much because my sore throat hurts so badly.
I started having a sore throat about a week plus one day ago. It wasn't all that bad, just sore to swallow. I went home for the weekend hoping that my parents care would heal me up over the weekend, but we tried multiple things and the sore throat wouldn't go away. It only kept getting worse.

All of my symptoms came up, literally over night. Saturday night, ok, Sunday morn, sharp stabbing pain in the ears down to the throat, congestion in the chest, stuffiness in both ears, sinus congestion, headache, the whole ball of wax. Started doing the nasal flush with saline, taken over the counter nasal de-congestants, and antihistamines. Still have the ringing in the ears/head, but the intensity has gone down somewhat, but still there. I also had a constant drainage in my throat.
I took one benedryl last night and then today I woke up with a sore throat. I am pretty sure it is from drainage because one of my ears hurts too! Anyone know anything I can take over the counter for it? Any help would be great! Don't want to get on antibotics again because just got off some a couple of weeks ago and then got a yeast infection!! I have been sick off and on with this pregnancy and really don't know why!
I used to have sever throat pain. After being treated for multiple things and taking every antibiotic and pain killer in the world the doctors finally gave me a steroid shot. Within an hour I was feeling much better. You could ask your physician to take a look at your sinus, as that could be the cause of your problem.
Ugh ive tried to avoid sick people as much as possible but Wednesday and Thursday I watched my finacees 7 year old nephew who was sick ( I didn't want to but had to watch him) and just woke up with the most awful sore throat and painful ears ! For the past 3 days, I've had a horrible stuffy/runny nose combo paired with a sore throat. Swallowing hurts not only in my throat, but pain radiates into my ears too. I've had migraines and sometimes a bit of a higher temperature, ranging from 99-101. There's pressure in my temples and the bridge of my nose. I'm very tired and I have aches all over. I'm sensitive to cold objects and the insides of my ear hurt. I'm in a really terrible, irritable mood.
i have been getting this pain on and off for abt 4 weeks and recently for 2 days i have a sore throat , burning pain in throat and ears and goes down to stomach but no stomach pain ,swallowing is painfull , what can this be and is this something to go to the doctor abt or do i needto go to the emergency room for this .

Hi, last night I began having a strange type of pain under my tongue on the right side at the base of the mouth - the pain feels similar to a sore throat, but my throat isn't sore. I don't have a fever or swollen lymph glands. Also the pain hasn't gotten worse. I can only feel the pain if I move the tongue up or if I swallow a large amount of food. My throat doesn't have any swelling or redness or whiteness, my voice is still the same, ears are fine and gums are fine.
I've been assaulted by severe ragweed and now the area underneath my right lower ribcage area is sore. My ears were ringing constantly, My eustation tube was blocked and now I'm thinking it might be making my inside sore also. is this possible to eat a meal and somehow ingest some of the ragweed spores?
This tube can get blocked due to infections of the throat, which can give lead to a feeling of fullness in the ears. This can also result in infection of the ears causing pain. The blocked ears can be opened up by the valsalva maneuver, where air is blown into the cheeks against a closed nostrils, this sometimes helps to open up the tubes. Steam inhalations can help clear the tube. Please consult your family physician.

For the past two months I've been having a sore throat and both my nose and ears are congested. Been to my ENT about 3 times nobody sees an infection in my throat or my ears. Recently I went to my medical doctor for a check up she said my ears look a little cloudy gave me antibiotics the anibtotics aren't doing anything. Also been taking allergy and sinus medicine it isn't helping either.

Though I can confirm the cause only after an evaluation but it is possible that infected tooth can lead to sore throat. Whenever there is a cavity or tooth decay the food gets lodged in the tooth. The bacteria feed on the rotted foodstuff and eventually enter the Eustachian tube through the infected tooth. The Eustachian tube connects the throat, teeth; ears, eyes and head, infection that enters via the tooth can migrate or settle at one or more of these points causing pain.

First it started with a little throat irratation, and that turned into swelling (hurts a little when i swallow) and i feel that my throat is swollen on both sides but on the outside i feel pain and a swollen little lump on the right side, which is more sore than the left. It hurts to turn my head and sometimes when i walk the pain from my neck goes into my right ear and right temple. I have not been dizzy, nor feeling nausea, but i have had regular diarrhea.
