It eventually turned into a sharp pain in the bottom of my throat, and eventually into a sore throat then went away without knowing what it was. This lasted about a month and i forgot about it. Today i noticed a sharp pain while i was breathing. It hurts my whole chest but starts in the sternum. I thought it was a continuation of pain through the knots in my back (minor scoliosis) but i noticed by the end of the day that this is exactly how that strange sore throat felt like last time!
Okay I had figured out that my sore throat was a neck muscle problem also know as sternocleidomastoid syndrome and which I get referred pain in my throat and other symptoms. I have been stretching out that muscle and my sore throat problem has resolved. But my chest pain still persists and I am also a little constitpated. Also just to add I was a heavy drinker drinking almost everyday for the past 2 or 3 months. And after I would drink I would drink a lot of water.
Anytime there is chest pain present it can be alarming due to the possibility of cardiac problems. But, in your case, I would lean toward respiratory or gastro-intestinal issues. The persistent cough, along with the possible presence of lingering congestion, could be causing your upper airways and throat to be inflamed and sore. Also, there could be a possibility of a hiatal hernia. Frequent or hard coughing is a risk factor. I hope that you will consider seeing a physician. Good luck.

She then put a mask over my nose and mouth. I woke up with the worst sore throat of my life. My throat was blood red and it hurt to talk, cough, breath and swallow. I've had strep throat many times and the pain was nothing like that. I gargled with warm salt water, took throat lozenges, etc. and nothing helped. Woke up the next morning and my sore throat was completely gone but could barely talk and my my jaw was sore and bruised. I still have severe larangitis four days later.

I have been using my CPAP for at least 10 years and it has helped me tremendously. If I have to travel I always bring it with me. If I don't, I wake up with sore throat (snoring) and will be tired all day.
My only reason for enquiring was that I developed chest pain for a week or so and was trying to figure out what was causing it. I thought perhaps the pain was caused by swallowing too much air or something.
I had an upper endoscopy yesterday and am now experiencing the sore throat which I expected, but also chest pain. It feels like it did when they were passing the tube yesterday. The nurse did a follow up call but just told me "Hmm, that's not usual, let the doctor know if it doesn't go away" Kind of an off hand answer, I thought. over the last week or so i developed a burning pain is the left side of my chest and in my arm. with abdominal pains and body aches in my back and right leg as well as a sore throat and an ear ache. I went to see a doctor and had an ECG done and it came back abnormal and suggested a conduction delay. what does that mean? other wise i had a throat infection and an ear infection.
I went to an ER where blood work and a chest xray was done. everything came back fine and i was released.
I have very bad allergy when I got cold and make me have running nose then cause the sore throat since very young age. The symptom start since I bought a pool and stay in water for couple hours most everyday with my son last summer. i am having severe throat problem since a very long time may be 2 years, i felt something stuck in my throat , and always felt like clearing my throat, always have a sore throat , and sometimes feel that something coming up from my chestor stomach, may be gastric juice.these symptoms increases after meals. belching is also a problem.is it possible that my stomach is related to throat problem.
