Avatar f tn 16W4d. My nipples have been itchy the whole day. Now they are sore.
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm 6 weeks 2 days pregnant with my 1st and suffering with really sore nipples. Does anyone have any tips to help ease this please.
Avatar f tn s normal for that to happen when you start breastfeeding. It should eliminate once your nipples are used to it but for now you can buy nipple cream online or at baby's r us.
Avatar f tn I didnt know nipples bleed when breastfeeding!
Avatar f tn I understand that your nipples are supposed to be sore but I'm 19 weeks now and they still are! How long does it last?

1395422 tn?1308016251 Has anyone on here been pregnant while breastfeeding? Were your nipples REALLY sore?
Avatar f tn my baby is 2 1/2 weeks old and though i am only pumping because she is not latching, my nipples are no longer sore... or i should say they no longer hurt... they are a bit sore from the pumpimg but very manageable... however the first week and a half my nipples got so sore and raw i had pieces of skin come off and they bled (tmi sorry), so i would say give it a couple more days and see if it gets better... lanolin helped a lot... and so did hot water compresses... as well as letting them air...
Avatar f tn I was having trouble breast feeding these last two days but I got it now. Nipples are still sore and feel dry. What can I do to make them feel the way they did before..??
Avatar n tn Bought seamless comfort bras just to sleep in--cheap at Marshalls & Walmart. They slip over the head. Extra support has helped. I wear maternity/nursing bra during the day. While BF I used lanolin last time and slept in a maternity/nursing bra at night but I've also heard people like those nursing tanks. Not enough support for me but might work for you.
540911 tn?1263191014 Have any of you become pregnant while breastfeeding, and if so, did you still get sore BBs?
Avatar f tn @ashlii00 Don't be scared! Honestly after being in labor (even if you get an early epidural) breastfeeding pain is a piece of cake. Inconvenient, yes, but you birthed a baby! You're a super hero mama. Sore nipples pass, and breastfeeding is good for both of you.
Avatar f tn m having baby # 3 and with my first 2 I tried breastfeeding for a few weeks or so but ended up not being able to do it they were not getting enough milk my nipples were sore and started to bleed I thought they were not latching on rite but i took breastfeeding classes I don't think that was the case has anyone had anything like this happen to them?
Avatar f tn Im 21 weeks and im a FTM my nipples are dry and itchy( and sore) and im not sure if this is normal I asked my midwife and she sort of ignored the question and said having sore boobs is normal...
10023837 tn?1409202605 I am only breastfeeding. The first 2 days were horrible. My nipples were very sore and it also started to have some cuts on them from my baby suckinh so much . but on day 3 my milk came in and it was a lot easier and not painful ! But sore. Nipple cream is a must! You might want to give up during the first fee days because its very overwhelming but hang in there mama!!
Avatar f tn It wasn't painful for me but your breast and nipples will be very sore and they feel very heavy when you're full of milk. I loved breastfeeding my daughter and plan to do it again this time around.
Avatar n tn I had to complement with formula, now after many efforts I switched to breastfeeding only, but my nipples are very sore. He stays in the breast for long periods and when he finishes my nipples look white and flattened like pinched. They hurt so bad that I am thinking about giving him formula again. I always wait until he opens his mouth wide and latch on, but he alwys finish in the nipple and it hurts.
Avatar f tn Breastfeeding is definitely worth it! Helps form a bond with your baby as well as the best nutrition you can give your baby to start life.
Avatar f tn So my mother-in-law tells me that I need to toughen up my nipples before the baby gets here by rubbing them raw with a wash cloth like twice a week. I'm guessing to help keep them from cracking etc. When I start to breastfeed. Is this an old wives tale?? I'm not sure what to think of it.
Avatar f tn Ok, so I had my baby march 4th. Immediately began breastfeeding. Everything was good. Her latch was off some but it adjusted as she ate. Yesterday my nipples were so sore I couldn't nurse at all & had to supplement formula. Woke up this morning to my boobs feeling like rocks. Took a warm shower & let water run over them. Tried to nurse, nipples still too sore. As the day went on my boobs started getting even more hard. Idk what to do.
4499377 tn?1373555885 I have had my latch checked but am still getting sore cracked nipples. My little girl was only born on Aug 1st and I am having to resort to pumping to give her breast milk because the pain is so intense it reduces me to tears. I'm not really bothered by that except that I would like to be able to breast feed instead of feeding breast milk thru a bottle. However I have also noticed that when I pump, in only get about a 1/2 ounces every 2 hours between both breasts. Is that normal?
Avatar f tn My good news is that after 6 weeks breastfeeding was pain free. A few times she had a bad latch and my nipples got sore again, but they healed faster than 6 weeks! She's 21 months now and still breastfeeding and I'm so glad I stuck with it. It will get better!
