Avatar n tn Have been to the doctor, diagnosed as vertiogo, physio trastment has not been effective, suspect that problem is in my neck, always have a sore neck - can my neck have something to do with my peripheral vertigo problem?
Avatar f tn Plus suffering with neck pain. My chiropractor touched my temples, neck and instantly put me through a full vertigo attack. It’s sore to touch my temples. I’ve had ecg,echo,24 hour monitor. CT scan, bloods, ear scan 2 months ago and came back clear. It’s been a week since I was in hospital and just cannot walk around the house as too weak and dizzy. Any body experience this. I’m just sick of not being to do things anymore. I’ve had to lock myself away as cannot walk anywhere.
Avatar f tn Can a deep skin massage which included the neck cause vertigo? This discussion is related to Neck injury cause dizziness, nausea, inability to concentrate,.
Avatar f tn The day after this encounter I felt as if my neck was strangled. My neck lymph nodes were swollen, body sore, and have been feeling dizzy (these symptoms have persisted for a month). 2-3 weeks after this encounter I got a sore throat, runny nose, and other flu/cold like sympomts. 1 month later I am still feeling dizzy, lymph nodes are still swollen, and neck, ears, and chest area is still feeling slight pain (sometimes have vertigo as well). Is this common for ARS?
Avatar f tn Well it helped, but not til after the chiropractic appointment I made. Just a minute after the adjustment to my back and neck I got a vertigo attack. A couple of days after that and a few days into the antibiotics I was feeling all better.
Avatar n tn It will go away with meds for a few hours, but I do not want to keep taking those. I also have a sore throat, and stiff neck. This is all on my right side for the most part. I forgot to mention in the doctors post that I have wisdom teeth coming in, which could somehow be related I suppose. I do not have any dizziness/vertigo/vomiting/nausea/upset stomach/muscle pain nothing but a sore throat, horrible headache, and stiff/hurting neck.
Avatar m tn we did discover that my bite is off alignment my bottom jaw has grown to far so I get TMJ from eating my jaw joints are always a little sore , and when i relax the jaw or when the jaw decides to relax my vertigo usually greatly improves , its very easy to miss the jaw pain because of the dizzy pulsating movement u get so it took me a while to realise how sore my jaw joint actually is , one day i went to a chiropractor and he put his hand in my mouth and put pressure on my jaw and I felt the mus
Avatar f tn I'm 26 and a mother of 2. I'm not a sickly person and rarely have to go to the doctor but just before Thanksgiving I woke up with vertigo. I've never had vertigo before so it was strange to me. I was stuck in bed for 3 days before it got any better. I haven't had verti ... [More] go since but still feel a little dizzy at times. On Christmas Eve I woke up and had severe neck pain. If I moved it even the slightest I would have shocking pain all through my body.

Avatar n tn Any other symptoms that dont seem related? Chronic headaches, eye pain, stabbing sensations, ankles and feet hurt, muscle and joint pain that moves around, sensativaties to light, sound, smell? "brain fog", vertigo, fatigue, sometimes feel like you are going to throw up? Sore throat, heart "skips" occasionally, chest pain, and do you have some "good" days and some "bad" days and does it seem cyclical? .
Avatar m tn after finishing these a few days later i started to get dizziness like vertigo and severe neck pain that has now been going on for about two weeks, along with what i can only describe as pressure in my head and ears, although the vertigo feeling is not as bad as it was. Im starting to get very worried but feel walking in to my gp and saying i have a brain tumor might be stupid.(as i am in the armed forces) im usually very fit and healthy but this has and is really affecting me please help.!!!
Avatar f tn It sounds like you may have more than one contributing factor to your symptoms. I would say perhaps the best starting place with the symptoms the way you describe them (as far as a doctor would go) might be with a neurologist. You'll want to get pictures of your neck, since the base of your neck springs off to your headaches. The one sided pain involving an eye-socket and sensitivity to light sounds much like a migraine. They may also want to do an MRI or CT scan of your brain.
4250330 tn?1388621179 Perhaps the dizziness going away when your neck is rubbed could be because you are hyperfocusing on your symptoms, and when your neck is rubbed it draws your attention away. Just a possibility.
Avatar n tn Have had a pain starting in May on right side of neck just below my ear going upwards in my head sore to the touch, have had a catscan and two xrays, nothing showed up, I have this everyday I notice cold pack helps, advil somewhat, I really dont know wha to do. 6780421 tn?1384730327 Hello, Leaving an infected tooth with an abscess untreated can cause lightheadedness. This can occur when the infection spreads into the nerves of the ears which in turn can cause you to become dizzy. Information comes to part of brain from the vestibular system located in the inner ears which help keep the body upright and allow it to move in a coordinated fashion. Vertigo is caused due to dysfunction of the vestibular system. Ear causes are the commonest causes of vertigo.
957507 tn?1251594207 Hi i dont know if i posted this at a relevant forum, but I cant seem to find the vertigo forum in this site. Avatar n tn I have gone to a chiropractic doctor for neck pain, I thought due to the vertigo and I have noticed that after I am adjusted it has help reduce the swaying in my head. I feel it most when I lay down on my back, and when I sit up in a chair. Walking does seem to help. Any ideas?
2062559 tn?1331581942 I have transient head, cranial and neck pain and concomitant vertigo. I just had a MRA that covered the circle of willis(no contrast) and a MRA of cervical neck. I've had this problem for 5 months it is less intense as it was but still have balance issues and the sense that I could go into a spin. Am I on the right track with this or do I need to ask for some other kind of test with my neuro doctor? My fear is that nothing will show and he will dismiss it back to menieres.
Avatar n tn I am having an issue that's basically put my life on hold and I'm working with my doctor to figure it out. But I am always open to more ideas with respect to what this could be. I've provided a list of recent symptoms and also symptoms chronologically. Symptoms over the past two weeks: Persistent fatigue, brainfog, vertigo, and pressure and heat/"burning" in the back of my neck and head, all of which gradually increase in intensity until I lay down.
Avatar n tn So I think i will take your advice and seek out the chiropractor on my own. My neck is extremely sore to touch. 9 car accidents (none my fault) must have caused some sort of damage. Last time I saw a Chiro (@ 8 years ago), my xrays didnt look that great..the C-curve of my neck was completely gone..wonder what it looks like now?! Cheers!
Avatar f tn Can't figure out what's going on or what to do terrible neck pain foggy headed lightheaded dizziness not really any vertigo to speak of head just feels detached and funny please help
Avatar f tn It involves the balancing mechanism in your inner ear. You could either have an ear infection, or, some misaligned vertebrae in your neck, if this is the case, a chiroractor would be able to help you and in some instances, the vertigo stops almost right away, I know mine does.
Avatar f tn I've had chronic vertigo ever since I had neck surgery 15 months ago. The C3-4 and C 5-6 levels were fused. Three days after surgery, I felt like I was on a rocky cruise ship. The problem continued for about 2 months, subsided for a few months, then started up again without stopping now for about 9 months. I'm okay in the morning, but the vertigo starts late afternoon and becomes so bad, that it's hard to walk.
921053 tn?1245180795 I feel comfortable saying that the vertigo IS a symptom of the Chiari!!! The neuro-ENT is "confident" my issue is a "neck" related issue and the neurosurgeon is "confident" that the vertigo is vestibular. The "neck" issue makes sense because my brain is protruding into the spinal cord, which is in my neck!?!?! The neuro-ENT is not seeing me anymore because of his theory of the neck issue and the neurosurgeon thinks I need to be seeing the ENT!!!!
