sore neck under ear

the neck pain was around the back of my jaw just under my left ear. this was due to confirmed swollen lymph nodes in my neck. this was causing discomfort and difficulty hearing in my left ear at times. since then the sore throat and drainage have come and gone very frequently. the neck pain eventually faded, but i feel it every now and then. i asked my doctor about it 2 weeks ago. i had my ear and throat checked by a doctor, the doctor saw no infection in my ear, but did see fluid.

it can occur on just one side. Press under the corner of your jaw (by your ear) to feel if it is unusually tender. If so, use a massage vibrator from behind the ear, to down under the jaw, working your way to where the clavicle meets the base of the neck next to the esophagus. I'm 22 years old and I've recently noticed a lump that is about 1 cm in diameter under my chin, back towards the neck. It seems to be round. I first noticed it because my neck felt tender and the ear on that same side ached slightly. You can't notice it by looking. The last few days that area also feels like it is getting a hard lump under my skin, but this lump is not sore,warm like the boil behind my ear. My right side upper shoulder/neck is also sore. When I turn my head right it is sore. I'm not really sure what this all means. Do you think I should go to the doctor?

Hi m 32 yrs old female I have sore lymph node left side of my neck It starts from behind the ear left side ...also goes to my ear, sometimes its beside the adams apple, sometimes it under the jaw bone...it also gives me sore throat upper side left... e 3 i got sore lyumph node on the left side of my neck , behind the ear and it goes down to the neck . Then i got sore throat on the left side . These symptoms comes and goes. I tried popping my ears by holding my nose and blowing, and my left ear popped and suddenly my left ear felt fine but my right ear will still not pop and it is Thursday. I do notice sternacleidomastoid (scm) being tender/sore, and up under jaw, behind ear, in ear, in rt lymph node area especially behind it, but lymph node not swollen, but just in that area. I have a lump on the right side of my neck under my ear. It is about the size of a strawberry I would say. Sorry...I hate to sound dumb...but do you mean under your ear as in on your neck? Or like inside your head/ear area...does that make sense? I don't really know the cause but I know what you are talking about...I've had mine do that before on occassion.

my doctor put me on some antibiotics, amozicilin and peniciline at different times and gave me medication for the fever. while the mouths sores and neck pains resolved, the sore throat, ear pains and the fever remains. i feel a burning sensation in the area where the sore is in my throat with radiating pains to the ear on the same side of the throat. i have since stopped smoking and cut down on my alchohol consumption. i feel very sick that i will need your advice to help deal with the problem.

Hello, I had a crown put on a couple of years ago that never seemed to fit quite right. There is a space between the crown itself and the gum line and the metal that was used is visible. Hi - I have a sore gland on the right side of my neck. If i turn my head to the left,i can hear a "shoosh" noise in my left ear. The gland in my neck will ache & thump under my right ear It makes me feel moody & or alter my sense of where i am,if that makes sense? Im 2 weeks post op from total thyroidectomy with extra nodes/tissue removed, on one side only. will this tender indented area stay like that, or will the soreness pass at some point? is this normal? my neck under that ear, down/around & below the neckline to the top of one breast is the area involved.

If you are in a place where you cannot do that use your thumb and first finger to grab and massage the muscle from the jaw down to the front of the neck. Remember to search for a picture of this muscle on the internet to see what you are looking for.

About 4-5 months ago i noticed a very small lump on the back of my nexk just under hairline, you just just hardly feel it, over time it grew to a size of a pea and stayed that way. a few weeks ago i called the doctor to get it checked out, i couldnt get in for 2 weeks.
