I play an instrument and sometimes the corner of my mouth gets kind of cracked and irritated because of the moisture. I obsessively put on chapstick to keep my lips moisturized. This little crack or whatever in the corner of my lips remained for three days, only slightly stinging when I opened my mouth too wide, but seemed a tad tingly....but I have a phobia of cold sores since I have somehow managed to escape getting them from my mum all these years.

I have a cold sore on the corner of my mouth but it's not extremely bad so I've been putting Carmex on the cold sore and my lips but yesterday I noticed the bottom lining of my bottom lip looked red and is burning and itching. What can be the cause of this?

Okay now I'm officially scared. Got a pink splotch in corner of mouth not a blister but still worries me. I have hsv 1 genitally never had a cold sore orally and now I'm getting red splotch.near corner of mouth. I was recently on vacation in a very dry environment and developed pretty chapped lips and a "crack" in the right corner of my mouth. I chalked it up to the weather and lack of sleep / hydration. s no texture or feel to these bumps (ones at the corner of mouth) as if they are scars. The ones on upper lips, are super fine and tiny but I can feel the bumps.

Now i feel i need to check myself everytime i look in a mirror, i notice a one white pump about 1/3 of an inch from the corner of my mouth, nothing is ***** or bleeding or red. Some of the other white pumps i have my mom also has except for that one in the corner and the outside white pumps. Its been 6 months now since i've touched her. When my lips are chapped it feels as my corner is a lot more dry than my everything else.
