sore kidneys in pregnancy

I will start off by saying I have no idea where your kidneys are but on my left side Above my hip/under my ribs I am sore its sore when I am turning or bending. Could this be my kidneys?

This is my 4th pregnancy and with every pregnancy I have had, I get really bad pain in my right kidney which later result in kidney stones it occures more then one time per pregnancy, my doctor says it's normal... Anyone else's doctor said anything different please let me know thanks.

I had my first doctor appt today since my mc in august AND since finding out I'm pregnant again...I have been having unbearable back pain and so I mentioned it to my doctor and he said it doesn't sound muscular because heat, massage and stretching isn't helping, he said it could be something wrong with my kidneys, he got a urine test & blood work ordered which I will find out next week the results...has anyone experienced anything like this?

I'm dealing with kidney problems as we speak. Doctors think I have a stone but can't see it on an ultrasound. But anyway I was having horrible excruciating pain in my lower left side/back and found out my right kidney wasn't draining and was blocked so they had to put a Stent in which I still have in to help drain the kidney.. "/ the back pain is gone but Stent is very uncomfortable.

I'm nearly 9 weeks pregnant and in pain with my kidneys is this normal?

I got my ultrasound yesterday morning, and I guess the woman doing the ultrasound pushed on me too hard. Even while getting it done, there would be times where I would be in a lot of pain. She said it's because she needed to see my sons kidneys. I feel really sore today, has this happened to anyone else?

Sometimes, when your body is under some type of stress, they can malfunction and let things like protein and glucose sneak through (which they should not). Protein in the urine is something they monitor in pregnancy esp if there is high blood pressure because it can indicate pre-eclampsia (along with high BP) or some type of stress on the body.

Hi, new to sight.Looking for answers desperately! History kidney infection shy of 3 months ago. Have gone back to doc complaining back still hurts and am fatigued. Had ultrasound-all good. 3 weeks ago hit with extreme pain. went to ER given pain med go home. The pain is located right back, below right rib-sometime feels as if swollen. Pain never goes away completely, will intensify. Pain also shifts location. Can radiate to left.Also pelvic tailbone area-like heat or pinched heat.

Okay so i just got back from an ultrasound to check the fluids on my twins and the doc told me that there was a tiny bit of backed up urine in on of the twins kidneys. She said to not worry but i cant help it!! Has anyone else gone through this and everything turn out okay?

So I went to the hospital yesterday because I had server pain in my back. Turns out my right kidney is enlarged. They couldn't give me anything because of my baby. Has anyone gone through this? The pain came back last night, took like 4 Tylenol ex and put a hot towel on my back. It hurts a lot. The ER doctor thinks my placenta is pressing against my uters and causing urine to back up in my kidneys. But he also said it seems like its to early for that to happen because I'm only 17 weeks..

I'm 20 weeks & just had a sonogram & Dr told me baby boy's kidneys are dilated. He said It's common with boys, but of course I'm still a little worried! We just have to monitor them& hopefully by end of pregnancy they will be normal. Has anyone else had this with their baby boy?

If your blood sugar is well controlled and your kidneys in good shape there should not be any major problem with pregnancy, even with type 1 diabetes.

If you have pain in your kidneys, you need to see your doctor as soon as you possibly can. This can't wait.

it hurts when i go for a pee and my kidneys are hurting i know i got a water infection and mabey a kiney infection. but my breast are sore and tender and really hearting with my bra on or top evan touching it any help ?

They'll most likely put you on am iv for fluids. Ketones are found in urine when you're dehydrated. I had HG with my first pregnancy and once a day I'd have to pee on a stick that measured ketones in my urine, if it was higher some days they would make me drink an extra 2 or 3 water bottles or go in for iv fluids. This is my second child and I do not remember being to sore with my first. For the past couple of days I have been sore in my lower abdomen. It feels as though the baby has plopped himself right above my public bone.... I have been waddling and everything! Has anyone else experienced this? Is is normal?

s can cause scarring in the kidneys which may attribute to the pain. Do you see a urologist? That would be a good idea at this point!

during my u/s on friday the tech said that she saw some fluid in the baby's kidneys but the doc said not to worry about it... i've tried to find information on it and i always get info on fluid "around" the kidneys instead of "in" in the kidneys. can anyone tell me what could be some reasons why this fluid would be there? thank you!

I'm 23 weeks and was told my baby had a small amount of fluid in both kidneys. Dr. Said not to worry too much but I go to a fetal maternal specialist Friday for another ultrasound. Scared and worried is an understatement. Anyone else have experience in this area?

All day yesterday I had a lot of pressure in my lower right back. I guess it was my kidneys being moved. Does that sound right for how far I am? Tonight I am having pains in my lower left stomach. Protein in urine is a sign of infection. Did your doctor give you medication? They should have.

I work full time and I'm on my feet all day everyday so I'm very thankful that I've been able to continue to work and go abouts my day as I did pre pregnancy :) I'm 24 weeks.

i am not pregnant my dr is running heaps of tests because my bloodcell counts were high and some were low and then i had super bad pains in my kidneys so idk something is wrong \
