Avatar n tn For years I had a clicking sound in my jaw and went to a Nuero Muscular therapist for something else, but she caught this right away. She fixed what ever it was and now I have no more clicking in my jaw after 13 years of it doing that. I could not believe it. A Nuero Muscular Therapist can do great things for your body.
Avatar n tn Hi, A couple of days ago my jaw has suddenly started to click when I open my mouth wide and move my jaw from side to side. The clicking is also accompanied by a dull ache in the same area. I am very worried that my jaw may suddenly lock or dislocate, is this possible? Should I go and see my dentist about this sudden clicking?
208686 tn?1293030503 Brayden will lay his head (or chin rather) on my shoulder, and then I feel him clicking his jaw together ot maybe his gum bone or something. Has anyone had this experience and know what it is, or how to get them to stop it, or if it hurts them at all?
17651997 tn?1458755477 Subsequently, she elbowed him in the jaw 3 days ago. I have (not professionally) examined his jaw several times; there is no clicking, no slight glitch, and he says there is no popping, clicking, etc. However, what I thought would be a couple days of soreness, now has not seemed to get any better at all. Out of all my kids, he isn't much of a complainer, (i.e. sensitive) which concerns me even more.
790137 tn?1318064425 The pain is in front of my ears and it will hurt sometimes non-stop, or after I eat on my entire jaw line. I do not have clicking or have trouble chewing or opening my mouth however. The entire right side of the throat just feels inflammed and the head ache in the face just will not go away.... The dr. did put me on an anti inflammatory & flexeril (sp?). So far no relief..only feels good when I apply my cold hands to the entire face...
Avatar m tn it kind of sounds like something, like two membranes, gets stuck together and then comes apart. There is no pain, and the clicking sound only happens when I speak. I do have a bit of a sore throat, however, and my voice gets tired easily. My dentist told me my jaw joint is a little inflamed, but the sound really feels like it's coming from the top of my cheek, not near my ears. I went to an ENT, but he couldn't find any particular problem.
Avatar n tn For the past few months, I have been getting a weird clicking noise in my head when I run or walk, It seems to stop if i clench my jaw but it it quite worrying and the only way I can describe it is its like something is loose inside my head when im walking, I also suffer from anxiety symptoms such as: Numbness in my left lower leg Numbness accross my chest which goes towards my left arm, sometimes down the entire left arm also Random headaches that can effect either side of my head, but mostly
4494800 tn?1355440491 ear pain, temple pain, and bottom of jaw pain), the clicking in the back of your head would not fit. Clicking in the jaw joint, however would match up with a TMJ issue. So, you are likely describing two different things- one has to do with your TMJ, but the clicking in the back of your head (if not being misperceived as coming from that location) may have a different source- have you tried neck exercises where you hear this clicking? (I noticed you mentioned shaking your head)?
Avatar n tn I have had pain in the left joint of my jaw for years now. As far as I can remember I have not been knocked in that area. The area of pain can stretch from the lower jaw area right up to my ear and can even give me neck pain. It causes pain when I open my mouth wide and always feels like the bones are 'clicking' and 'clunking' out of place. I have had phisio on the joint but that is only a stretch of the muscle and the pan is always present.
1372123 tn?1280749911 I know its not my jaw but I hear a clicking and only when I walk, Could it be coming from my hips? My back? Some bone that moves as I walk? I have been hearing it for like 12 yrs now maybe 13. It is really anoying me and want to know who to see about this. What can be done to find out what it is or where its coming from and why? Its not everyday I hear it, and its not like you can hear it, only I can so I know is somewhere deep inside somewhere. Does anyone have any suggestions?
1556337 tn?1341708611 Hi, How are you? Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) presents with a muscle-contraction type of pain, sometimes accompanied by a painful "clicking" sound on opening the jaw. Have thios checked by your attending for proper diagnosis and to determine whether malocclusion (poor bite) is present. Try to avoid stress and jaw clenching also. Relaxation, biofeedback, use of bite plate may help. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar f tn i am not sure why i have this clicking kind of pain under my ear, is it because a few days ago I cleaned my ear with a cotton bud, coz i have a cold or coz I have periodontitis? It's like a clicking pain everytime i open my mouth. I cannot chew or yawn. It has been a week already. I will be seeing a doctor soon but just wanted to know the possiblilites.
4165464 tn?1384457741 Question, do you notice that your jaw is popping a lot more than usual? Or clicking kinda sounds?
Avatar f tn I have tmj not in alot of pain no clicking ect, but i get this awful pulsating and tingling and tightness in my jaw, and crawling and itchy feeling in my ear, (same side), what is causing this. my dentist here in the uk says it is a muscle imbalance, got a NSI orthotic to wear at night on my teeth but it is no help, any suggestions whats causing this, oh and my nose tingles to, and sometimes over back of my head.
Avatar f tn BUT, clicking in your jaw and pain might be tension and clenching teeth at night while you sleep. Those are common symptoms of that. The back pain is not unusual, we all get that sometimes.. TMJ is not really arthritis and again, is due to clenching often. medicinenet. Try something like ibuprofen to see if it helps, try an ice pack for pain too and avoid chewing gum. If you were to have arthritis due to your weight, I'd expect it to be more in your knees.
Avatar f tn Okay, so my cat has been having eating problems for about 2 and a half weeks now. He has gone from weighing 24 pounds to 10 pounds! He went to the vet when it first began, and all they noticed that was wrong with him was that he needed his teeth to be cleaned. He had to take antibiotics for it, but he's taken them before. There seems to be a strange noise coming from his mouth when he tries to eat, almost like his jaw is clicking or he's grinding his teeth. Could his jaw be out of place?
